I set up my Zelda's grab on Falcon with Sheik

Seems like a better setup than dash attack or tech chasing






Man, Falcon sounds so frustrating to fight with Zelda. From a glance it just seems like all you can do is like

- dash attack his aerials

- pray he doesn't like to dash dance grab or finds it boring

- combo off dash attack to death

- catch his jumps OOS with f-smash or kick

- filler about crouch canceling his weak moves into d-smash and some other stuff

His speed and overall stage mobility seems so lame to fight with her =/

Is it weird that I've never found Zelda/Marth insurmountable? Though maybe that has more to do with Marth players being bad.

It feels like Peach/Marth, just without turnips, and actual range I can use against him. She doesn't get fair comboed like Peach, either. I imagine uthrow > something is pretty lame, and I guess if he dashdances her, she can't do anything, whereas Peach has turnips...

I'm going to Kings of Cali this weekend actually since my friend wants someone to go with him so he's not bored during the car ride. I'm actually gonna train up my zelda up a bit before this one so with luck I'll be able to make it out of round 1 pools with all zelda.

you look pretty good in this. some questions though.

1:30 why the neutral B? another kick would have killed him and allowed you to recover?
2:40 why grab over react > dsmash/bair?

for all of match 3, why are you spending so much time in the air? and i don't mean after you get hit, i mean you jump a lot and it's not working out so well.

also for match 3, why do you fight peach so much? it's way better to gimp the mediocre falco to force him to steal lives than to fight the noticeably better peach.

nvm you obviously did that for match 4 lol.

yeah i think that's it. not to nitpick, you looked pretty good for most of this, but every little bit counts.

I played Dr. PP in pools at KoC. He 1 stocked me the first game, then some random people behind me started getting a little hype for zelda and he had to show them how impossible it is for zelda if falco decides to play smart. Needless to say I got wrecked game 2 haha.

i think in theory every character with mobility that camps well should beat zelda, but zelda is definitely better than mewtwo lol

it's better to just use regular movement IMO, like WD > grab. mewtwo is a really undeveloped character so even if something better exists it will probably never be found. i stopped playing him a long time ago because he sucks too badly. you know something is up when zelda players won't touch mewtwo because he's a bad character lol

Hey umbreon, I'm trying to balance Zelda's run speed in SD:remix but I would appreciate the input of a real experienced zelda main.

idk if you know how the game measures run speed values but basically zelda's is 1.1 and Ganon's is 1.35 for comparison's sake.

a .1 increase makes a character run across FD 10 frames faster.


what would you recommend zelda's new run speed to be?

Zelda beats link...70-30

zelda young link is like fox marth for low tiers. 50 - 50

zelda beats yoshi except vman ...70-30

zelda ness is weird...like im convinced zelda DESTROYS ness but ness actually can kinda camp in a strange way.....i think zelda taps real hard though 80-20

zelda slightly beats zelda depending on color (blue ftw *****es)

zelda bowser isnt quite as one sided as you might imagine but i think zelda wins 60 -40

zelda gnw - loooooooooooooooooool 90 - 10

zelda pichu - 80 - 20 yeah its a bad pikachu

zelda kirby ....no comment

zelda roy... really cool matchup, roy is underrated but zelda wins. 80 - 20

zelda marth....marth is bad but zelda is worse 30 - 70

Hands down.
He's a faster pika, with a silly lagless upB and better jolts (but they also hurt him)
He can camp zelda pree hard if they arent as manly as me.
Manly pichu's just nair.
And usually get kicked in the face.

Seriously though that MU is hard as ****...
I'd take sheik over zelda.
