I always mention that ankoku should dacus. O.o I thought by now it was obviously a joke. Maybe people are more touchy then I've always assumed? Who else have I offended besides Neo? I wouldn't even say I offended Ankoku, but correct me if I'm wrong.

i think the point that's trying to be made is that your annoyingness is entirely unprovoked and unnecessary rathy.

in short, stop being a little *****

and you will have no problems - thanks.

My point is that I don't recall annoying anyone aside from you. I concede that I blatantly attempted to troll you, but I don't feel I did that to anyone else, which is why I asked my above questions. In the case of annoying you, I know how to prevent that from happening, because it was intentional. In any other case, I'm not aware of, I can't prevent it, because I don't know what it is I'm trying not to do.

Basically your suggestion doesn't really help me much as it really doesn't tell me what I should do.

PS: I have no problems, I just want to know if I am or am not getting on anyone else's nerves. If I am I'll simply leave and that'll be that.

I've got a couple videos from a livestream tournament set:
http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/4886257
Begins around 8:25ish. 2 matches.

It was fairly laggy w/ poor quality, but I'd still like some critique if any of y'all are up to it. ;/

Be blunt. I don't need sugar coating.

I'll have some more, much better quality videos up later.
I'm still not very good though. Dx

Sorry my only up to date ones are against G&W but thats all that got saved. I don't even remember what happens in half of these, so I hope they are at least entertaining ^_^

I just finished watching the snake video and I have to say I'm really impressed with some of your approaches but... you only throw 2 needles the entire match. Spam those needles more against snake, they really do make the match up easier when you can make snake come to you because of how punishable all his attacks are on shield.

I wish I could give you better advice then that but my whole style is build around making snake come to me and what to do when he does. Your sheik is too solid to say stupid stuff like

"oh at 0.10 you shouldn't of used ftilt because it wouldn't of combo at that percentage and the spacing even if it was on the back of shield wasn't safe."

Doing nitpicking like that would be just stupid because I imagine you already know that but decided that ftilt was a better option even at that percentage(which you can argue both ways for) or just did it out of habit.

omg, I just watch the first match of you vs ampharos.

May I kiss you? ;)

edit: I am so pleased to see something useful on here I think I'll start testing stuff right now. When I get bored I'll come back and try to comment although after watching just two match I have a feeling it's going to involve me saying using needles more a lot.

Recorded a bunch of seriouslies with Sinz a couple weeks ago. Here's the first batch:

Sheik vs. Snake:

Sinz is amazing and ***** me whenever we're playing matches that actually matter. We recorded like 15-20 replays and he won over half of them iirc.......these are the only ones I could get uploaded right now though. Has the best grenade game i've ever seen and it's really fun playing him:).

Please critique/flame/comment etc.

I shudder to think what will happen to me when he learns the matchup though:(

Vid quality was almost unbearable so I watched 2 stocks of the first match. You need to run away more....especially on FD you're approaching for no reason.

You seem to have the DACUS strings down pretty well and while they were sexy as hell....DACUS outside of any GR setups is generally risky and I wouldn't use it more than maybe once or twice a match as a mixup.

GR>DACUS everytime if you're on FD.....it's like 30% lol.

Get some better quality vids and I promise i'll do a full critique.....sorry this is all I could come up with based off that.

Does anyone else have any input against GandW? Any other advice to help turn the odds in my favor? Aside from more needles I guess? Idk why I'm so addicted to chain.
I'm sure Tristan gets a kick out of your chain addiction xP

Yea needles overall you need more of. Although you do have some quite interesting approaches, I'd say in most match-ups you should be the one forcing approaches.

@Mars, thanks for the critique. ;3 I'll camp even MORE I guess, lol. MK is just so boring to play against when he tries to d-air camp a bunch.

And it turns out the crew battle replays from that same tournament were erased or something so you'll have to wait till next time to see some better quality videos. Sorry T_T.

Will camp more and use less DACUS. Got it.

New vids from Grand Finals of my latest tournament:

I apologize for the random cuts and off-screen quality. No recording was done at the venue, and DanyO's girlfriend recorded these. DanyO later kindly shared these clip with me.

3/4 of the games are included. The 4th one unfortunately was not recorded.
Sexy Sheik. I'm going to start doing a lot more re-grab chases against DDD.

Anyone wanna critique Mars?
All I'm entirely sure about is that you can dash attack out of shield to punish the second hit of Snake's ftilt. Mars, often times you did nothing or rolled into him or something else punishable. ;/ I think you may get a free dash grab too- not sure.

Also, I don't know if Sinz does this, but if he has tap jump on and tries to break out of a grab partly by rotating the control stick around you can get the air break->Dacus on him. ;o

edit: One more thing. If he doesn't cook the grenades before he throws them, don't be afraid to shield them, then throw them back along with needles.

Idk about DA but i know for sure that dash grab is not guarenteed.

You can punish second hit of ftilt with a shieldgrab if the Snake's spacing was poor (like, you shielded the ftilt from point blank), but otherwise you're forced to either get away or jump and see how he uses his frametrap opportunity.

I played JTails' Dedede the other day and I must say it caught me completely off-guard. I was comfortable with my vs Dedede game but he caught on quick and messed me up bad. Seems I'm still far off from taking into consideration all of which Dedede can do.

I just watched your matches with virg. We agree your sheik is good. You gotta watch out for your air dodges. You would keep air dodging into Sinz which would net him a lot of free damage and kills and stuff. Just do an attack at least in those situations that way the most he can do is shield grab you instead of an utilt or ftilt or whatever.

Um... in some matches you'd give him a lot of room to literally let him nade camp you just run into mid range and he can't do anything safely anymore. you also jump to needle charge that caused a lot of your problems. if they aren't close imediately pressuring you you are normally better off ground charging. you can cancel into sheilds or needle toss to shut down approaches and other projectiles. you can't do that in the air.

that said you weren't using enough needles. and you weren't charging often enough. if you can't deal damage and you are already in a good position if your needles aren't fully charged you should be charging them instead of standing around or doing cool techs. (You did more of a stand around and wait.)
for example while snake is recovering is a perfect time to charge your needles.

Be more aggressive stay in that dash attack mid range. you had the right idea but if you are going to aerial try and position them so they will hit shield like you were doing with your ftilts

<3 on virg's account.

Just some thoughts I had..

Game 1 was a disaster, lol. I'm just going to assume you were getting warmed up that round, so I'll disregard it.

Overall, you made some very nice decisions in terms of followups and edgeguarding. I really liked your airdodge/whistle punishments. However, your approach seemed kind of iffy. Most of your approach options (dash attack, DACUS) seemed to be a play at getting to Logic before he could reach, which half the time got you punished from shield and a few times even got you directly grabbed out of (you were pivot-grabbed out of three DACUS approaches). Sheik's ground game is definitely nice because of its sheer speed, but you should look into mixing it up a bit with aerial options and feints (moving in as if to approach but jumping or otherwise moving away at the last moment).

Also, at lower percents, try to keep on him a little more. Don't let him get away, even if it's because you just knocked him away. Try using lower-knockback attacks, like fair, ftilt, or even grabbing him again. You did this wonderfully on your last stock on game 3, and it almost let you come back against him.

Keep it up, you'll get a top placement next time for sure.

Thnx all the input i can get is appreciated so feel free. Yea first round was bad i was really adapting to his playstyle cause he really plays different from all the olimars i played. Yea i realize now that I used DA alot i should have mixed it up more tho i must say alot of my feint shorthops got upsmashed in pools but i need to keep him guessing ur right. I was concentrating alot on juggling and so i was anxious to get him in the air. I got to say i got shielded for trying to punish his upb on like 5 occasions during all of my games with him i swear that move has like no lag.

But yea guys go ahead and critique away i think one major mental factor was that i was prepared to lose the tourney the match before logic when i played nope then i ended up winning lol. On a side note every single match that tourney i lost the first game then won the next 2 lol.

Olimar's Up+B sort of works the same way as Sheik's Up+B and Meta Knight's Tornado in that if you land from a certain height you don't have any lag.

To bad that that is dumb all around.
Turns out that MK and Sheik have to twist a little bit before they have no lag. This is equal to their total landing lag. So basically it is an illusion.

It's not a terribly bad idea, since it keeps you moving (down) while your attack lag ends, which makes your movement a little more seamless overall.

yeah you had the set I could tell nerves got to you just by some of the choices you were making. Just next time take the time to remember you are good enough to win, no more doubts.

I don't see anything special about fairing MK out of his tornado.

You can hit him from outside the tornado, too. Peach players do it with nair, and the only reason it doesn't happen often is because good Meta Knight players won't Tornado in positions where that would be possible (if you're above him, for example, they'll try to hit you with the corner of the tornado rather than the center). It's really not an exact technique, as it really just punishes poor use of MK's tornado.
