A lot of times in the first Peach match all of his hopping around didn't end up leading to anything/got punished pretty badly.

Still awesome! I wish I could practice ;-;

his speed against the diddy was impressive

it seems like players that are in foreign countries are often way better at buffering than we are and are a lot more precise too, at least at all levels of gameplay

Yes neji is crazy and extremely ofensive but these matches were just random friendlies in my house :3

There's another good Sheik from Europe - Germany to be percise. His name is Biggad and he's top 5 in his country. There's a very good (and close) set with Germany's #1 (BluB). Here's match 1 of the set.

I don't think he's going to BBI unfortunately. But he (as well as Biggad) will be at a fairly large Geman tournament in like 2 or 3 weeks. There are at least 65 people there an depending on how the dutchies do at BBI (aka winning money) they'll join :)

Edu, the only critique I have of you is to just be careful about hopping around too much in one place, especially against characters that have good range. Sheiks areials are really fast but don't have a ton of range outside of bair. I noticed towards the end that Peach was starting to adapt and just waited to hit you with turnips. You might have to play a more patient play style for Marth/MK/Snake as well.

Your mix up/pressure game is reaaaally good though, keep it up man!

oh yeah cirtiques.

Edu your mix ups? OMFG so good. The thing that I felt was lacking was your ground game. you could have gotten a lot more damage from the ftilts you connected with. and you weren't making use of jab.

I love your use of needles it made your sheik feel that much more unpredictable.

Only set I was able to get recorded at Don't Blink 5. JJROCKETS is pretty far from a good ICs, so I kind of tested out different strategy's I could use vs. ICs. Timing sopo out seems like the best option tbh

btw in order to get :shiek: I have to spell Sheik Shiek... I am very enraged.

ok i'm back from BBI and i did... so baaaad :ohwell:

i got 33 place i think (i suiciced 3 times in losers so i canceled the match and went to sleep lol) but hey, biggad did it better (25 i think?) i only watched a bracket match of his sheik but he did it pretty well against wario (the wario was a spanish player friend of main) 2-0. I beated a wario too (his nickname was chair or something like this) 2-0.

so i don't have any replays but i think that wario is easy with sheik haha :)

edit: tutu what do you think about de sheik vs ICs matchup? I usually go with zelda but i've been considering sheik. It's just that i've never tried yet xD

I guess to be more clear, your offensive mind games are good, but not your defensive ones. Sometimes NOT moving a lot/or running the **** away will throw your opponent off just as much as doing nine hundred backflips in place or retreating fairs.

Hey I have a question:

I have a recent replay of my Sheik that I would like critiqued, however, it's me getting a 3 stock on my friend's Marth. However, I do think I could have done a lot better in that game, had I watched "Hyrule Rouge", the Sheik guide by saviorslegacy, before that game (lol). Like, before, I used to mash A to try for a f-tilt lock, and I don't anymore. I learned most of Sheik's AT's after I saved this replay.

Would you guys still be able to critique it?

Wait. Is the ftilt lock guaranteed on Marth? I always thought that he had a few frames between our ftilt to DS. :confused:

To clear up confusion, I did not ftilt lock the marth, i only said that i learned to ftilt lock correctly after that match was saved

^minor note, sideB is now a tether in this game, which I saw several times you could've used.

use jab moar, jab cancels work pretty well with sheik, and it sweeps low so it sometimes shield pokes, plus it gets you more grabs which can do some awesome stuff.

lol I'm guessing bair is a wolf thing. Harder to land on smaller characters, but on luigi you used it pretty well.

I frankly like empty hopping/AD for Sheik, since most sheiks generally just go gung-ho on offense, when they could get a lot of stuff to penalize bad shield habits, and it baits some good reactions too.

Really strong edgeguard game, nice gimp (even though he panicked and hit B while using monkey flip)

work in jabs, juggles, and aerial needle (works pretty well in edgeguarding), pretty good start for your sheik, we need people who edgeguard more to compensate for her killpower lol.

and like a couple of MKs that I see play sheik, Reaper doesn't use tornado (he only uses it like once for the first three matches iirc), which frankly I never seem to get. Reaper does edgeguard sheik pretty well though, at the same time I felt Biggad could've won match 2 of the set had that lol hitbox of the cannon not hit sheik :\

Biggad is legit though, I did like his matches against BluB in particular.

What I mean is that Reaper doesn't grab the ledge. You take Sheiks chain thether recovery away from her and her recovery becomes far easier to punish.

I don't know if Biggad can DACUS....but a most of the time I punish MK's in my state for using tornado with a full needle charge or if i can grab then GR for like 28%.

Sheik can punish tornado a lot easier than other characters can because of her speed.

Too bad her shield isn't that great.

Iam Light from Germany and my main is Sheik/Zelda i went this match mk cause sheik dittos sux im at the same lvl as biggad but i dont really care about smashb, so im not very known here.

1st match:

- If you whiff on a ftilt get your booty out of there because Snake's ftilt will destroy your face.
- You can always punish his ftilt on shield with dash attack, same with his jab combo I believe
- Needles at close range = ;-; There is a ton of lag on those suckers.

2nd match:

- Don't roll forward!
- I don't like DACUS that much unless my opponent is in the air, it's easy to **** on shield
- lol @ ending

3rd match:

- Snake's autocanceled nair is a super trap! Just chuck needles instead of trying to get in from afar because his lag is not that much

- If you know where he's going to land charging a dsmash works pretty well and is much harder to dodge. I wouldn't be afraid to spam this if you get confused either because you're probably going to kill Snake from an edgeguard/aerial unless you get a lucky usmash.

- rolls = bad

I think walking is not a bad idea in this matchup because it allows us to react faster to all of the crap being thrown at you, especially when you want to change directions or move back a bit. I think that you can punish just about everything he hits your shield with dash attack. Just get rid of your rolling problem and you'll be fine.

I'm headed up to Columbus for a tournament, but I don't think I'm going to compete in the main tournament. I'm still going to record some "seriouslies" and I do want those to be critiqued. Could someone critique them?
