Looking at my old vids briefly was pretty funny.
Most of them have 1-200 views
Arkive Zero vs Legan has ~2k view each
and the Shy Guy Cancelling vid has 7200+ views, hahahaha.

read the title. Greward, well i guess he did get 5th but iunno, seems meh to me. So I guess Greward beat fino and richbrown to their goals of placing 5th at a national, infact an international (lol europe countries are pretty much US states tho haha). I also watched Zulu and also thought he was meh.

more than likely its cause we have different styles, so don't worry about it too much.

I also noticed the new pokemon dp theme

Eat your words you dirty Canadian.

.....

...I'm sorry, I felt bad about using Canadian as an insult :( Still, Greward is an amazing player, perhaps you're right in saying that it's just your different style that keeps you from being impressed.

Anyways, I've discovered that an earlier discovery of mine may be further reaching than I thought. I don't know if anyone remembers this, but a while back I discovered that purple pikmin run slower than the others. (I know this is true while they're in your line, and I believe it applies to when they're returning to you as well.) While at the time I thought pikmin were slower only on the ground, I believe they may also be slower in the air as well. Take a look at this video at 3:20

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj7r2H3vHAo

You'll notice that Greward has two purples at the front of his line. Moments later, he is grabbed by Yoshi and when he is spat out his purples are now both at the end of his line. This could be some weird physics related to Yoshi's grab and pikmin states, or it could also mean that purple pikmin are just slow in general. It could use testing. Though I'm not sure the knowledge could help outside of just being trivia, if it turns out to be true I know I'm blaming purples for not moving to me faster the next time my pikmin desync on me and my chain isn't long enough.

Europe is about the size of a region, but I hear what your saying kind of.
pikmin stuff
Yeah, it happens more than once in the vid. Interesting note.

I can't sleep, so Imma watch some vids and then post things I learned, lol. One thing I noticed about Greward in his vid that all of you should note is he is almost constantly moving while still maintaining solid stage control - VERY IMPORTANT!

Zulu has a solid play, but he has some of the same issues I had awhile back of approaching / moving toward his opponent when he doesn't need to. He also has CPU aerial dodging problems =/

Greward is nothing short of amazing.
Couple things I've noticed already
(1) He almost always does a normal get up when he prat-falls, rarely does he roll
(2) His fais spacing is impeccable
(3) Use of downair, lol - thanks for pointing that one out rich
(4) He sometimes momentum cancels with nair... wonder why that is

I have a question tho, anyone know how to do the buffered dacus (the one that's good for diddy/falco). I wanna look into that.

I just spent the past hour or so editing video, by request of RB... and my comp just crashed. What a joke.

You have new video of RB? You must inform me when these things become available; I was just sighing at the fact that I can't find very many videos of him.

Also, can someone tell me why pivot grabs sometimes instantly break? It seems to happen when I pivot grab someone at max distance. Is this a glitch or are these people just really good at button mashing ie by the time my pikmin brings the opponent back to me they've broken out of the grab already?

In the last part, the combo, you don't actually footstool the Falco. You may get the boost from the footstool, I can't tell. But Falco doesn't suffer from the footstool.

Also lol @ estimated hitbox

Estimated hitbox XD We could only hope

And wow, you weren't kidding about that reverse fair; I've gotta learn how to do that immediately :O IT'S SO INSTANT!!! I was actually shocked when it happened lol

And I don't think I'm ever gonna try that combo on purpose :D

Also, I'm taking name suggestions for the new video thread :) I have a few ideas, but I'd like to see if any of you have something better. Just PM me ;)

Oh, and general strategy question:
Kirby's low percentage grab combos - whistle or wait to air dodge? I've been starting to whistle them, just want to make sure I'm going down the right path.

If you don't then they can dodge you - though in the vid a footstool clearly happens. With the footstool they're stuck in the animation until the dair is out. If I had used a character such as TL instead of falco, there would be different spots of the nair to create different uses of it. if I buffered the jump like I did in teh video I would get the same result, but by missing the footstool by a few frames you can make TL pratfall.

From what I can see, the Falco is undergoing regular landing animation, four frames of lag that follows hitstun when the character lands after hit by an attack. This and being footstooled look similar. During this animation you cannot be footstooled.

D': You guys work together, and it's really active, and you guys actually try.
I feel like I'm talking to myself in there. Trying to get people together to come to a conclusion and everyone could cares less. No one ever tries. And we never get anywhere. :urg:

Greward is great. Zulu is good. I'm sure there are other good Eurolimars.

That reverse usmash has a big hitbox. And fast fair.

Aww, no one really cared to answer my question a few pages back....

Anyways, good luck to all the Olimar mains who are attending that Apex tournament.

You should've seen these boards when I first got here; stuff was REAAAAAAAL inactive. I think the most active thread was a moveset discussion that got a reply every two days  And then Hilt decided to breathe life back into this place, and voila! I am sad to hear that about the G&W boards though :( I wonder what it's like for other character boards as well.

Sweet! I know the interview thread is dead atm, but one of the questions I asked you was actually "Why don't you post here more?" :chuckle:

I clicked this thread because it had European in the title.
Yes!!! Every title we've had since the awesome title of yore has gotten at least one random person to come post - HUZZAH!

Greward is great. Zulu is good. I'm sure there are other good Eurolimars.

There's one more called Scarhi but he doesn't currently have any good videos online :/ And **** yea that fair is fast, I'm working on perfecting that today.

I'm sorry, what was your question?

*sigh* I knew I should have done a lighter char. On non-fastfallers you can footstool them into the falling animation (which can force a pratfall and predict their actions with another nair), and at that point you can't argue that they've been footstooled. Regardless, from what hilt says nair to dair should be a solid combo then.

Dair is such an underused move; it really DOES work lol

Lol, I love that picture for how true it is XD
List of underused moves

Dair, Dtilt, Ftilt, Dash Attack and now Bair will be underused (why Bair when u can Fair?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEiTOB544jQ

Quality will improve in about 15 minutes
I would rather Usmash, Dsmash, or grab after a Nair. I still got to gt used to the grabbing option.

I looked here (http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=227773&highlight=terms) and I couldn't find it. Whats pratfall?

I always tend not to post on any social boards for a little while when things in my region boards get really active. In these boards I feel like I miss quite a bit of important stuff. On ROB Boards, they are always talking about random things. This social is more tactical, and their social is more like "hey whats up". So chill in there, its also fun :].
