Idk about the others, but I just figured sinji watched me at apex lol.

Cams been playing a touch longer than I have, but he's been getting a lot better recently.

Kid, I'm not particularly interested in sheik dittos, but I may do one with you.
Yea I watched you at Apex.

I felt like I was treading water before I went to Apex. I feel like I am getting a lot better lately with the transition from playing a lot of pros at Apex to returning back to Jamaica and finding new players at a venue. And what's even better is that they use characters that I am not familiar with like shiek, samus and Ganondorf. I'm starting to realize that becoming a rising player means that you must have the exposure to many (if not all) matchups for your main. Gee I hope I can start recording again, but my Dazzle's kinda glitchy so I have to use my phone till then.

I have to admit, I got outplayed at Apex 2012. Stuff that I practiced for hours I couldn't execute in my matches. My only john was that my palms were cold because of the climate that I'm not used up there. But after playing Javi, Shiz, Woobles (thanks, I know the Ices match up now), Unknown522 and many others I feel more knowledgeable about the game and got a lot better then I was.

so how many other people realized that sinji was just naming a whole bunch of people who posted a bunch on Melee Discussion?
I barely post in MD anymore. So this theory is debunked, lol.

@Wake, SB, Krynxe: <3 Much appreciated I think, though Wake definitely ***** me right now, lol.

Glad someone said Jeapie, I came in here just to ask why no one had yet.
Jeapie's stage movement is so slick...one of the sexiest Falcon's I've seen in a while (dem moonwalks). From what I've seen of him his biggest problem is just choking hard in intense situations.

NE / Tristate is full of 'rising players' but the ones I see most improvement in as of right now: T. Webb, KevinM, the OT, Mafia (gay), and Matt.

Some of these *****s need to stop smoking weed and playing Mario though. We're already a threat, give us a few months and we'll be taking your money at your tournaments.

Lol, you got this.

I think Darc could easily make it. I don't know how much effort he puts in, so it's unfair to say that he needs to work harder at it, but it's definitely in his reach.
Here's a hint: Absolutely none.

I'm going to stomp on you with my Mario next time I see you for this.

you also don't post on the threads at the very end of the MD pages. but that doesn't matter. you post tons in the two most popular/viewed threads on the forum. and you've posted in more than 5 of the threads currently on the front page not even counting the stickied ones. you're in the top 10 most frequent posters in 2 different threads in MD, and top 15 in another one.

anyone who even looks at the MD boards sees anywhere between 2-5 posts from you a day.

and bad strawman. no one ever said you were "always in MD"

^so true ;D

I wish sweden's "rising players" would improve faster. Except for Armada I can just stomp everyone else without even trying/using my main/secondaries... boringboringboring.
We have lots of new and semi new players that seem to get better... but every damn one just plateaus way too soon q_q goddammit

oh well, at least I'm getting closer and closer to Armada :> (I went 4-2 during a set w/ him this weekend, with every game but the last coming down to the wire... sadly not recorded)

lol sorry for random emo rant. wtf

LOL thats what I was thinking lovage, how the hell is socal like that.

and yeah I lost 0-4 in wf (first match was last stock last hit when I sd'd 3 times [shows you how terrible armada was playing], and then I fortfeited the last 3 matches all at 3 stocks after playing horrible/losing stocks to bull**** LOL).

after me and armada agreeing that we both played god damn awful we took a pause and warmed up for like an hour before playing GFs

Hm... When I try to envision the typical "emo rant", thinly veiled bragging isn't usually what comes to mind.

I actually brought my recording equipment, but never got to setting it up. I usually have it, so if i'm there and you want matches recorded, ask me :)

Your sets with armada that tournament were quite entertaining, and it was a shame to see the SDs and some of the other ways you lost stocks. I'm looking forward to the day you beat him. I like armada and all, but it is getting kinda boring to see him win all the time :p

Also, sorry for sucking. I'm even starting to think i'm actually getting worse now. I was kinda positive after terebi 4, but beauty 4 really sucked to me performance-wise (idk how I got out of pools...).

I think my games with Leffen was a kinda big step down from gamers meetup from both sides to be honest. WF is nothing to talk about but GF was not good either from any of us if you ask me.

Okay this is the second time ever Leffen takes 2 games from me in a set and I understand that is great for him cause that's better then most of the times. Im also glad he takes games more often now cause winning 4-0 is not great if you wanna improve more.

BUT I think WF and GF from gamers meetup was way better for both of us when it came to playing more close to the best we can. Ofc we both can play better then that to but I think Leffen from GM would **** Beauty 4 Leffen and the same for me. Not cause we have getting worse at the game but no one can play perfect all the time and I think both me and Leffen agree that we can do much better.

Anyway fun to play Leffen and I hope you can attend ESA so we can have much better games =)

Yes our GM set was much better indeed - the only reason I wanted it recorded was so that I could learn from watching it, not to boast about the fact that I take more games than mango/pp etc etc.

GM felt like much more of a serious tournament and after playing 3 great bo7 sets in teams (and overall having more competition) its easy to see why we played better then.

ANYWAY, I'm coming to ESA now :D!! Cya there ;D
