few people tread water for 4+ years and then figure out how to reach the next level. for most people it's either a very gradual improvement process that steadily improves them over years OR a rapid ascent to the top from infancy (pc chris, mango, hbox etc)

it can happen though, i don't there's anything holding people back from getting good at smash really besides time available for it/money/location

PC is a bad example. He's been playing a lot longer than most people realize.

i appreciate it sinji. as raphael said, i do plan on getting significantly better once i play with kevin on the regular. but yeah, i'm working super hard on my sheik (ganon just works so much better as an avatar...) but my ganon will still be around in the shadows (in teams).

a player named ron/camron/cam/bossa nova/whatever he ends up being called will rise pretty soon i suspect. his style is very different (falco), and once he pieces things together more, he will be dangerous.

I can't speak for the rest of NC, but I think we're all expecting you to play Sheik for a while, then stop playing Sheik and use everything you've learned to make you an insanely good Ganon main. I'd imagine it'll make you pretty good at the Sheik matchup because of that.

Cam's been doing really well at the last few tournaments I've been to. How long has he been playing? I'd really like to play his Falco and see what it's like.

basically, nonregion bias has plup/wes/leffen as the obvious answers.

I think Darc could easily make it. I don't know how much effort he puts in, so it's unfair to say that he needs to work harder at it, but it's definitely in his reach.
