You're 19? Thought you were like 13.

Anyway, http://www.smashboards.com/group.php?groupid=895
18. I skipped 1st grade.
this is a great thread. I love it.
is there really anyway to punish a DB where you land the first two hits?
I guess it would depend on where the person goes from there. If they go up I think its easy to avoid the last hit, but not the third.

If they stay neutral, i think you are screwed.

If they go down, then DI like crazy and you should be able to punish them.

So im just wondering, what's a best defensive way against MK? I find myself trying to fair camp but he somewhat rushs in and still manages to expose my blind spot >.<
D-tilt some. Punish what you can without being punished. Mix some things up to keep some of your moves fresh, but be careful. Keep Dolphin Slash handy for when you get into a tornado. And if anything happens, be able to DI like crazy. Space you f-airs. If you DB and miss, stop immediately.

Just don't let mk inside your tipper range. Don't get screwed over.

Definitely DTilt and FTilt. And if you get too defensive, he'll **** you in the arse (learned that from Steel, oww).

If you need something to cover your front, use jab over ftilt.

Probably the best thing Shaya has ever uttered. <__<

*ru-

Oh Shaya is from Australia. He'll never catch me. Har har.

That's nice Junk. It's always nice to see you and Steel climbing up the ladder.

I'm afraid of heights so I have to stay down here in the meantime.

Drop me a letter of how to climb up, mmkay?

/is it really that hard to tell us what DSF told you?

lol I read most of the responses. School starts soon but I was going home to NorCal for other stuff so I dropped my computer off then.

Furbs - <3 I'm want to make it could you post me/PM me the details on AiB?

MBRers - LOL @ 2 moves wrecking yoshi. It's only half-true but still hahahahahaha

jkun - yeah sometimes you have to play gay... but most people (basically vs anyone that isn't ranked) you can beat just by analyzing them.

Anyone can use any information as long as they give me some credit :D

OOO! Developing your own style I really need to work on that... Right now I mostly use retreating Fairs and sometimes go more aggressive with Fairs >.<

But #3 is good too =P

You put this lesson up just as I was learning to do this myself, Junk your getting to good at smash, your reading me and we're not even playing the game! 0.o

Lmao, good stuff for lesson three, now we have "Don't get hit.", "Don't get grabbed.", and "It's just friendlies."

My friend Kirin plays an amazing Link and consistently gets me down to one stock lol imo Link is probably one of, if not THE hardest low tier matchup

Alright so I asked Steel what the next lesson should be but he couldn't decide so I'm leaving it up to you guys.

Which would you rather have next:

Conditioning - How MikeHAZE *****
(This would cover the playstyle-idea behind conditioning, my own personal conditioning theories that aren't being applied yet, and a video example)

OR

Finding Your Own Playstyle - Why Some Things Will Only Work For You
(This would cover what the title says, some video examples of different styles, how you can go about finding your own playstyle, and the true lesson behind playstyles that you probably don't know)

Whichever one I don't do this time will be done next time... just let me know which one you want.

hey before you do conditioning...you might want to ask HugS first (even he doesn't play Marth) but he's really good on stuff like this and pretty knowledgeable on this. plus is it possible to do stage control as well?

thought i just give you another lesson to cover up if you dont mind

but for now I'll pick the playing style

Lesson 3 was a good one, nice work elitist =p

Once we get passed pride in friendlies is when the learning can start. The hardest part is probably when you lose to someone you are "Better" than...

I think you should add this:

"When you are losing consistently in friendlies, don't start johning about characters or playstyles or whatever. All this does is frustrate everyone involved and take away the whole 'friendly' atmosphere. Adapt. Ask(God forbid). Conquer. Repeat."

I'm doing conditioning sometime this week because I think I'm better at that than having a good playstyle

It's probably because i've been playing the conditioning master himself a lot recently

Lol I was just about to bump this to show we're still interested (I can speak for everyone right?) And yes conditioning is better.
