Learn SHFFLC and you can play most characters in Melee to a generally acceptable extent.

I just found out that friday and saturday night of this weekend are both birthday nights of friends that i can't afford to miss...

So i'll be out on probably both of those nights unless they decide to do a joint party on saturday. If so I'll definately be in surfers on saturday night. So I will probably see anyone out there if they are there. My problem is, It will be a big night... I'm not sure how I will go about getting to autumnlan...

12:00pm – 01:00pm: Lunch Time (Spent playing friendlies instead of eating)
01:00pm – 01:30pm: Melee Singles Set Up/Registration
01:30pm – 02:30pm: Melee Singles (Pools)
02:30pm – 05:30pm: Melee Singles (Double Elimination)
05:30pm – 06:30pm: Brisbane Vs. Gold Coast Melee Crew Battle
06:30pm – 07:30pm: Queensland Vs. Out of State Crew Battle
07:30pm – 10:00pm: Friendlies

Should we drop Brawl Pools? We should only do pools if there are more than 32 people I guess.
I’m not sure what the consensus is here, because the main reason I’m doing pools is to give people more matches (And to seed the bracket, but I can manually do that by separating people based on tiers of skill level).

Up to you guys to tell me what you want. Without doing pools, we have more time to do other things (such as focus on crew battles), and the day can progress at a bit more of a relaxed pace rather than me getting on everybody’s nerves by telling them to do what I say all the time because I wanna keep on schedule.

I estimate at least 9 or 10 TV’s at the tournament however (LanSmash providing us with 2 CRTs this time, DJ has 5 (but at least 1 will be dedicated to the N64 side tournament), I have 1, Jesmo will probably bring 1, So will Kaion, Hopefully Chris will bring his as well), so with 2-3 people per TV we might not have to worry too much and just run with pools. Doubles will probably run even quicker lol.

Pools is fine if only the top 1 or 2 from each pool move onto a Finals DE bracket. Not fussed either way. Also, I don't think Melee OOS vs QLD is worth contesting; not many Melee players are traveling to this one. Hopefully we get to finish at around 6pm for both nights so I can hit the coast for longer.

Also, the hotel room has a nice LCD screen that is useless for Smash, so I'll bring my 360 and get Syke to teach me Halo. Or we can just play SF4 or something, hah

so average match is about 4 minutes so
