I wasnt johning about ganon, its a fact that he has some really bad matchups.
Yes this is the reality. But it's also the reality that maybe some people actually believe it's a bad matchup as they are playing, which already you **** yourself over thinking that way. You can overcome anything at the right times!

when playing, i agree. Its detrimental to your chances of winning if you think about how bad the matchup is, espeically if you start johning. "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right."

Lol Kage 4 Jesus
I almost agree with that.

Anyways back to actual topics. How would you guys practice wave-shining while hitting something if you don't have two controllers >.>
do I have to use the stupid starman tactic?

maybe try wave shining the sandbag in home run contest? you can quickly restart it over and over i guess.

just a random idea that popped in my head out of nowhere, feel free to completely dismiss it lol.

That's a good plan
What do you guys think of waveshining by HOLDING down left/right
it seems more constructive than going from down to left/right
any thoughts?

Is being able to drop down from platforms and laser absolutely necessary? Obviously it's a nice thing to learn but how often do we see that :p?

yo @whoever

of course im making a lot of assumptions. wtf is your point. i firmly believe that mango's puff is not at the level to beat PP now, and I just as firmly believe that we're never going to know because he's not going to play it. If he does, and he wins, then i was wrong. do you ahve any actual opinions beyond "but mango beat people with puff 2 years ago and you dont know anything?"

yeah i think if mango is practiced up a bit, his puff will still ****. puff isnt too technical a character so its probably hard to "lose" her much, and hes still been playing the game enough to keep up on his spacing and metagame and whatnot.

Yeah, dropping lasers are really good in general as Falco. You'll gain more map control, pressure on the opponent and a little extra dmg xD. I still **** up my isai drop lasers now and then but it's still worth it and when I never **** them up it'll be even better!

I don't see how you can mess up an isai drop laser past the first day of trying it.
I find it harder when I FF the laser above the platform and then reset the stick and then isai drop, and when I'm being chased. It's natural for everyone to find some things easier than others.

EDIT: It is also the latest thing i've put into my Falco game, if I used it from the start then I probably wouldn't have this issue at times, but 1 day still ain't enough xD

I need a doctor...

Lol anyways, PeePee, what are some of the guaranteed combos that Falco has? I know pillaring, and utilt pillaring, and then shine to bair and nair but are there anymore?

EDIT: Also, what's the best way to approach? I do SHFFL nair and dair right now, but are there any other ways?

What's the best way to punish a spotdodge?
Is it better to anticipate it, or are they easy enough to punish on reaction?
I'm about to play someone that spams them and I don't have a setup so I am trying things out in my head, haha.

Guaranteed? I mean, DI makes everything somewhat not guaranteed, and then every character has a different weight in which different "more likely" combos are "guaranteed." Fox example, on FF'ers, Dair to shine links pretty well up until 35-36% I think(on the Dair....unless it's Falcon which is like 42% or something), but that obviously doesn't work as long or in quite the same way on, say, Samus, who is much floaty-er.

Approaches depend on a lot of things and conditions as well, but basic ones are anything involving lasers(to shine, to jab, etc), pivot Bair(M2K said this ***** Fox so there you go....though it's not entirely an orthodox approach in the traditional sense), and then platform wavelands like what Axe does can be effective too(but they're riskier if you don't know why the stuff he's doing works or don't have the technical proficiency to do that stuff).

Yeah shffl things to shine into more shffls beats spotdodges pretty well.
Yeah just beating the spotdodge if you know it's coming, Dair's great. I also like Fsmash for that kind of punish as well.

vs. Jiggs?

I try to play a high pressure falco, lots of lasers and comboes. Jiggs seems to break my momentum more often than not, and a slow bird is a slow cooked bird. She jumps between my lasers, floats all my combos, and walls me to death.

Any tips to keep the momentum up and the puff getting jiggled?
