I've been lazy with trophies lately...

I refuse to get most Multiplayer trophies now. Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 are starting a bad trend that I refuse to support.

For most games, I go out of my way to get trophies. It makes me play the game WAY longer than I ever would, and it's a fun challenge. So much so, my wife and I can't even play Wii because it feels "pointless." Weird how that works.

I'm like that as well. I agree as far as the online ones. Many of them are way too tedious. Anything requiring you to be at the top of leader boards or ranks or to do something that is difficult I won't even bother to try to get it. I still have nightmares of playing 50+ hours to getting that one Gold trophy from GTA4 that required a lot of online mini games...

I have a few games that have some real hard trophies. Super Stardust HD has some tough trophies yet what I find strange is how ever game the Silver ones are always harder than the Gold ones. The Wii really doesn't have much going for it except for games I can buy from the older consoles and Smash are all that ever makes me return to it.

I think one day I may platinum Mortal Kombat. It's trophys are omgwtftimeconsuming, but not impossible.

MvC3 maybe possible if I ever pick it up again, but I don't know... the game just pisses me off so bad.

SSFIV is impossible. I can't do all those trials. I just can't. Unless having a stick makes it x100 easier?

As for other games though, I'm so close to being done with Dragon Age T_T

I try to go for trophies, but at some point it becomes too difficult, and I give up. The only game I have all the trophies for is Sonic Episde 4. It's an awesome idea that can make the replayability of games last much longer.

I just hate the concept of having to get trophies online. I remember in AVP there was one trophy where you have to get a 10-Kill Streak. This is REALLY hard online because A. there were only about 6 people in some of the games, and B. they were ALSO trying to get a 10-Kill Streak. At least 3 or 4 times, I had a 8 or 9 kill streak and the game ended or I was killed. It's not fun with the challenge is damn near impossible and takes away from the overall experience.

I don't like how they're trying to prevent you from getting Plat Trophies without the online ones from these newer games coming out and some of the older ones...

Yeah, luckily I play very few online games. My only 3 online games are SSFIV, MvC3, and Mortal Kombat. The reason I can't platinum those first two isn't because of online, XD

Mortal Kombat has only 1 ridiculous trophy:

Beat Arcade on hardest difficulty (NO CONTINUES)

Shao Khan.... omg.


Aside from that, they're time consuming. Mastering everycharacter would take forever, but not hard.

I'm sure someone will find a cheap tactic to the hardest difficulty shao khan. Like how I lariated the hardest mode of SSFIV.

Remember people, that's the date where FULL functionality returns. Sony's already said online gaming will most likely be back a fair amount of time before the Store and such.

Can't go wrong with Uncharted and Uncharted 2. There's online in Uncharted 2, but each game has a fairly long and engaging story.

I remember the online for Uncharted 2. Back before it came out and had the demo. I'll never forget those choke hold chains those guys in the black tops had on me...

I like most genre's as long as the gameplay is good, story doesn't have to be good but it definitely helps. Also I have heard good things about Uncharted, so I would definitely consider that series.

Demon's Souls, inFamous, and Yakuza 3 or 4.

Demon's Souls only if you a super gamer or have way too much free time.

Or just really like a challenge.

I definitely agree with Demon's Souls. I don't really consider myself any sort of super gamer, but I think if you can be patient at appropriate times, you'll be fine. But until you "figure the game out" you will die a lot. And this can be very frustrating because in this game there are real consequences for dying.

I did it with Liu Kang and did his b3, 1 , 2 thang! Beating Shao Kang was pretty easy since most of his attacks are slow! Just remember to block his attacks and he'll open up himself! I set the rounds to best of 1!

Best of 1 would make things much easier. The problem I get is when Shao Khan lowers his guard, and then proceeds to cancel your kombo with an inviciblity move...

Let's get a move on Sony, I'm out of single player games. At least this whole outage thing has inspired me to retrieve my Wii from the attic and get a bunch of lawn mowing done.

I did the same thing. Try Conduit 2. It's well worth the money. I hope the PlayStation Network comes back online this weekend. I want to activate my PC copy of Portal 2 and mess around with the SDK.
