Peach Tournament Results (UPDATE! 2/16/12)

17th outta 100 + i think like 106 but the final numbers aren't up. ima update this post with the allisbrawl link n confirmed results, bracket, etc.

i'm too tired to tell one of my longwinded summaries so ima do that later and for now ima just say got 2nd seed, got 0-2'd by mikehaze, i beat two arizona guys in winners then lost to sk92 and bardull's marth.

noticed that the top players i lost to play sooo much faster. like not meaning by more aggressively but they read, react, and make decisions really fast, i could really see the skill gap when I ended up losing so it was a good experience. not a bad way to go out either if the only ppl i lost to in tourney all weekend got 2nd, 5th, and 13th i guess lol.

oh, and me and stauffy (rly good socal lucario) got 17th so we were the highest placing mid tiers. xD

I was playing good so I wasn't in the mood to mess around with my secondaries.

And whenever I decide to use 2nds and post results here I'll mention it ofc lol.

Still wish I wasn't beaten so convincingly in all my set losses though but it's all good, I can clearly see some of the things I can improve on.

And these fools still say Peach is not tournament playable? They can kick rocks. You see what Peach is doing in big tournaments? slowly these fools will realize this.

Yea I am ticked about that. If only I new about Pokemon trainer I could have freaking hit top ten. Both games I nearly beat him without knowing that match up. I'm still ticked on how I blow it.

There is one dude who plays wario out here but we never get a chance to play. His name is malcom.

I'm gonna try to fight all these characters before pound 4, I refuse to lose on this nonsense again.

well umm the TO got his ipod jacked and it had all the brawl results and the laptop with the tio file wasn't his so he has to wait for the guy to email the results 'n stuff so it could take a while for it to appear on AiB. but yeaaah all i know for sure is 17 outta 100 sumtin.

But yea I guess I did good buuuut I didn't get to take any names. I'm sure I beat pretty good players but I didn't beat anyone known to be super **** sauce so I'll try to change that for next time lol.

Malcom is funny. He quit maining sonic after sonic moved up to mid tier. So he went wario. He still uses sonic but is mostly wario. He feels he won't have anything to prove or look forward too anymore since sonic moved up on the list.

Alright, despite the low attendance at these two tournaments there was some solid competition at each, including three ranked *or once ranked* players from Ohio (Blue Rogue, Beegs, and ArgentStew). I played extremely well at the second tournament, including knocking Blue Rogue's Wario into losers 2-0. I made it to winners finals and lost to ArgentStew 1-3. So here's the hilarious but depressing summarized version of what happened in game 5 of losers finals, me vs. Blue Rogue.

Delfino (while airborne), both on last stock, his Wario 140%, my Peach around 100%; I pivot grab him through one of his dair attempts and grab release him in the middle of the stage. What happened as soon as I began to move for the game winning u-smash? I TRIPPED and he F-SMASHED me for the win, a giant "AWWWWWWWW!" came from the crowd watching, taking away what would have been a guaranteed 2nd place. **** this game, and **** Sakurai.

Both were double elimination.

In the main tournament, I lost to Wario in the Winner's bracket (the eventual winner), then in losers bracket I lost to Ice Climbers (stupid infinite chain grabs! :-() and then had a close match with Meta Knight on Brinstar (I counterpicked and he changed characters).

In the side tournament, I made it all the way to the Grand Finals and lost 1-2 (sets). I lost in the Winner's Finals to the eventual winner, who played as Pit/Peach (my Peach stomped his Peach though). On the way to the Winner's Finals, I played a difficult match with a Samus, and I pulled through in the end! So many close calls. In the loser's finals, I fought a Yoshi (he was allowed to enter) and I had some really close, intense matches. Won 3-2.

Pit is so annoying!! I hate him!! :-(

My first tournament in like, three months, but despite my somewhat average placing I feel really accomplished. I managed to:

- win doubles
- knock the best MK in our region out of winners
- in a doubles match, got to 1v1 Colorado's best MK and win
- beat some of the best Snakes in the region (who both switched Marth and ***** me in return) xP
- pull three bomb-ombs, two swords, and like ten Mr. Saturns throughout the tournament
- win an MM against the region's best Sonic via dair-at-top-of-screen kill

And most importantly, I won a random MM with Ivysaur. Yay. ^ ^

They just ***** the initial game when I managed to get down to one stock while everyone still had three. >_>
The rest of the matches were somewhat close I think.

My random MM with Serve will still legit though! Except for the part where I got MK and still lost...

Obviously because MK is a terrible character.
