i wanna see animal crossing character something like maybe just a simple player that uses all the tools like the shovel as their B attack and HEAPS of costume changes personally i think that would be cool. i think more villins are needed like ridley but it would be hard to do dark samus considering it would be basically samus that doesen't turn into zerosuit when she uses her final smash or something like that. also the ultimate character they need to make is the L block from tetris haha would be the best joke character ever

I would be interested in seeing a new stage Where your litterally in a tetris game the blocks fall knocking you and working up your damage and the blocks disapear when they line up

Thats the only problem with it. Falco is more popular than Krystal. While i agree with the female addition and the clone problem, Falco has already been in 2 Smash games. Why all of a sudden take him out in Smash 4?

Thats the only problem with it. Falco is more popular than Krystal. While i agree with the female addition and the clone problem, Falco has already been in 2 Smash games. Why all of a sudden take him out in Smash 4?

Well, I heard that Ness was almost removed for Lucas and he was in 2 before that. They almost did the same thing to him in Melee. I also said to get rid of Jigglypuff, whose been in all three. Besides, Krystal was one of the most requested characters in the game.

And why include Petey Piranha?

Because he's awesome!

But really, he's a big, powerful villain. They could easily give him a unique moveset. They already have a starting 3-D Wii model of him. So they basically just need to make models for his moves and several animations.

I hereby speak up. Rival Trainer would use starter pokemon, similar to those of the current Trainer, making him/her fit better as his opposite.
Giovanni's Pokemon (Rhydon, Dugtrio, Kangaskhan, Nidoqueen and Nidoking) would also be much harder to implement and balance than the starters from any generation, as Dugtrio cannot jump and moves by digging, and the others also are all too slow, heavy and strong, with few attacks that could be used for a recovery move.
The Rival, on the other hand, can have 3 starter Pokemon in various evolutionary stages of varying weights and strengths, making for a more balanced team than Giovani's 3 heavy powerhouses.

Ok, I see where your comming from. Giovanni should probably be a Boss the Adventure mode. What pokemon should this rival have? If the current trainer is Red than whynot have the Blue. IMO, He should have Blastoise, Bulbasaur and Charmeleon.

No one should be removed from Smash Bros at this point. The closest thing to a clone that we have is Toon Link, and even he plays very, very differently than Link. Falco is not a clone of Fox; if you've ever really played both of them, you would know that they are very different. Same goes for Mario and Luigi, Lucas and Ness, and Ganondorf and Captain Falcon. There are no clones in Brawl.

Fox =/= Falco
Ness =/= Lucas
C. Falcon =/= Ganondorf

While their moves may be similar, they play very, very differently. Each character sports incredibly different physics and statistics, including weight, reach, jump, and strength. Falco plays very differently from Fox, and while they both possess similar specials, not only do they function differently, but require almost entirely separate tactics, and that's in conjunction with their attack moves and smashes. They were clones in Melee, but in Brawl, they are disparate.

no no no, never remove anyone that has been in since smash 64, thats just begging to piss off so many people you will never hear the end of it. and btw i don't know if u know this, but jiggs has a HUGE fanbase, and there are alot of people who main jiggs exclusively, and how bout, instead of getting rid of characters because they are clones, lets just give them a new moveset? yeah sounds good to me.

All right, so we all agree that Rival Pokemon Trainer should be in over Boss Giovanni? I am going to add alternate costumes for this one, but I am unsure if Rival Pokemon Trainer should be an alternate costume or not.

Another thing I am considering looking into, is whether or not I should move Demiru/Demille
and Muddy Mole to in, considering they did very well in the Japan polls.

It ends up Sukapon is a first party character, so I am going to change that. (Well according to Wikipedia.)

@KumaOso thanks for the comment.
I think that my Paula moveset would have the neutral B be PK Fire and it acts sorta like Samus' charged shot where Paula can charge it or shoot it immediately. If Paula shoots immediately, it shoots a 2 to 3 short ranged fire balls that move faster than Mario's but doesn't do too much damage. If she charges it, she can hold it forever like Samus or Lucario can then when she releases it, it lets out this very fast fire ball that would look like that guy in Mortal Combat who shoots out the fire ball very fast and does 28 damage and good knockback. An offset for the speed of the fire ball would be that Samus and Lucario's ball of energy should still do more damage and more knockback than they do now so Paula's PK Fire doesn't make theirs too weak in comparison.

>B could be PK Freeze where Paula does something similar to Lucas, but I think it should shoot 2 PK Freezes instead of one. One 'big' PK Freeze and one 'small' PK freeze, the big one you control like Lucas' except it should go faster because in matches I barely hit anyone with Lucas' PK Freeze and it's thus an underused move. The small one randomly follows the big PK freeze and explodes anywhere from the left, right, or on top of the big PK Freeze causing a much random but higher rate of accuracy but the small one does less damage though. It can confuse the player and make it harder to dodge because the small PK freeze can potentially throw the other guy off.

My idea for Paula's upB though would combine PK Fire and PK freeze to produce her ice surfboard that is on fire.

Also, if Paula has a fully charged PK Fire ready and she then uses >B PK Freeze, it does a totally different move which does a very short range fire/ice combination explosion directly in front of her causing massive damage and knockback. Greater than PK Fire or PK freeze, but is short range and would have some pre/afterlag to punish her for any whiffed shot.

If Kumatora were to get in, she could use this type of stuff as well. I'd think Kumatora would be more like a power character who punches people very hard and is heavier and slower than Ness or Lucas I think. She'd probably also be less apt in the air than both of them. If people do not like being whacked with teddy bears (despite how awesome that is), then Kumatora would provide a nice tomboy non-girly experience.

I also would like it if Miis were introduced in the list. I cannot believe I forgot about them!
Other characters that people have suggested before were:

-Pious Augustus

Alexandra uses magic and a roman gladius sword.
Pious Augustus is evil and his face is a skull (he is a Liche) and undead. He uses magic and has a staff made of bone and could probably use the roman gladius as well.
I don't know if Alexandra and Pious could both be in together because both might use the Roman Gladius, but if so then take the Gladius away from Pious and give it to Alexandra.

Both Alexandra and Pious were in the game "Eternal Darkness" although I do not know if their 2nd party company who has since departed Nintendo will allow it. I don't know who owns the rights to Eternal Darkness now, but at that time it was property of Nintendo I think.

I also think Jigglypuff would never be cut because she is apart of the original 12. Even though Sakurai could have at one pointed wanted to cut Ness, it wouldn't make sense to do so now since Ness got in all 3 smash games and so did Jigglypuff. I'd think now the original 12 are uncuttable no matter what. I like Jigglypuff because she is very good in the air, the only one who should be good in the air better than her is Ridley himself.

It seems like Nintendo has begun a pattern of including a very retro character. (i.e. G&W, R.O.B.) I'm hoping Balloon Fighter will be in SSB4.

Also it appears that Eternal Darkness was Published by Nintendo, but developed by someone else, so I'll keep them in third party just in case (If anyone wants me to move these to in, just ask and tell why.) I will also add Simon Belmont to the list, and move Jigglypuff up to "In."

Replace the random square with ditto. Give the character it becomes funny eyes and a slightly heavier weight. Also, you can play through classic/all star as ditto, being a different character every match, and you get a ditto trophy.

CHARACTERS I WANT

Animal Crossing - There's been 4 or 5 AC games and with the new Wii Animal Crossing I think it's time we get a character. The best choice would be Smashviller. This has potential because it could use bug net and axe for attacks, the fishing rod for a ranged grab, and it could have a swarm of bees chase him as a Final Smash.

Bowser Jr. - or Koopa Kid or Baby Bowser. There have been many games that have had a child Bowser in it, like Galaxy and Mario Sunshine. Baby Bowser's attacks could use claws and fireballs, and he has several options for a final smash. He could turn into Shadow Mario for a short while and be able to paint goo and just be overall stronger, or it could also be him in one of his machines that were boss battles in Galaxy.

Boo - possibly King Boo, but I don't like the hat. Boos have definately been in enough games, and could also have a cool moveset. I've heard that Boo can't be in ssb because he is an enemy and not a specific character. Well Yoshi is not a specific character either. There are hundreds of Yoshis. Just google "yoshi group".

Metroid Hunter - I think that one of the other 5 hunters from Metroid should appear as a playable character in the next ssb. I think that this would take priority over Ridley, because he's already two bosses, and hunters haven't appeared besides as trophies. The six hunters are Samus, Kanden, Spire, Trace, Noxus, Sylux, and Weavel. Any of the five would work, but Sylux seems to be the most reasonable choice.

MegaMan - If there is any new third party character, it better be him. He is so retro and popular and his style would fit in with ssb perfectly. I'm sure Nintendo would be able to give him a moveset that differs from Samus and he could be a unique character.

New Pokemon Trainer - The two main possibilities are Rival Trainer and Team Rocket. Rival Trainer could have either Vaporeon/Jolteon/Flareon, or three starting pokemon. I do not want Rival Trainer to have any of the original three starters. Pokemon Trainer already has them and anymore would be a clone. Rival Trainer having Bulbasaur/Blastoise/Charmeleon, wouldn't work. How different can Bulbasaur be from Ivysaur. People were even calling Ivysaur Bulbasaur on SmashBoards. For starting pokemon, I think maybe one type and one stage from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generations. A possibility could be Piplup/Quilava/Sceptile. For Team Rocket, the three pokemon could be Meowth/Arbok/Weezing. I heard earlier that these pokemon aren't well known enough. I find this extremely hard to believe. Any pokemon from the original 150 is probably more well known that Lucario, and definately some of the other characters. Many people never heard of ROB, Game n Watch, Ice Climbers, Pit, or Dedede until they played Brawl.

Kat and Ana - Like the Ice Climbers, two people would be one character. I really would like to see them from WarioWare just because they're so cool. They'd have shurikens and I would main them in an instant. The only thing that I'm unsure of is when one of them dies. With the Ice Climbers, only Popo has to be alive in order to fight, but I'm not sure how Nintendo would handle Kat and Ana because they are of equal importance.

CHARACTERS I'M AGAINST

Daisy/Rosalina - alternative costume for Peach definately.

Toad - It's just that there are so many more interesting characters than Toad. He'd have such a boring moveset. The only attack I can picture him doing is a headbutt.

Louie - Olimar with variations in stats and animations, there are better choices.

Ridley - We've already seen him in Brawl as two bosses, so I would much rather see a more interesting hunter than this dragon.

Old Characters (except for Mewtwo) - I am undecided about Mewtwo and Lucario, but Pichu, Dr. Mario, and Roy are out for good. Roy is the only one that makes sense, but he's outdated and I'm sure more people would rather see an axe or spear user from a newer game.

There'll be no Final Fantasy (7+), anime or Halo characters in the game, because none of those characters have appeared on a Nintendo console, anime characters originate in anime, rather than video games, and there is no way that Microsoft will relinquish Master Chief, the main character of their (undeservedly) most successful game series, to their main competitor.

Then please explain why Sony would surrender the star of the game they have rested all their hopes for the PS3 on to SSB.

Hey, why would Sony let Metal Gear Solid go to the Gamecube. Answer: they didn't because KONAMI did.

Sony didn't surrender Snake. Konami did at the request of Hideo Kojima. MGS4 is PS3 exclusive because Kojima and Konami wished it so. Sony has no say in what a third-party developer/publisher like Konami can and can not do with their trademarked characters so this statement is completely off-base.

Of course, I am wondering if Master Chief is owned by the now independent Bungie or Microsoft.

I think that brawl (& even melee) has already established that popularity means nothing in ssb. Really, who wanted the ice climbers, pichu, dr. mario, rob, mr g&w, pit or even olimar or lucario(pretty much any 1st gen pokemon is more popular than him).

You also have to think that it would be much harder to make ridley a playable character than to do the same to any hunter. Yes ridley is far more popular, but the roster all comes down to sakurai or whoever makes the next game (brawl has done well, so sakurai will probably be back). If sakurai makes ssb4 then its almost certain he'll put in a couple chars that no one except him wanted.

<Up Special Move: String Shot>
Metapod shoots a thread of silk from his top point which acts as a long range tether recovery. Being hit by the silk causes flinching.

<Down Special Move: Harden>
Metapod takes on a metallic appearance and shines, then returns to normal. Every time you use this attack, Metapod's defense and weight increases, but his speed decreases. If used too often, Metapod will practically become immobile.

<Final Smash: Life Cycle>
Metapod falls on its side, then a tear opens up on his body. The tear glows white, and Metapod's body splits in two, and Butterfree emerges. Butterfree flutters around the stage, unleashing a flurry of spores across the stage. The spores can cause different effects. Their controls may be reversed, they may fall asleep, or they may be stunned/put to sleep for a time. Butterfree then disappears, and an egg appears on stage. It hatches and a Caterpie comes out, and like the entrance, evolves into Metapod. Metapod is then free to finish off the spore-effected opponents.

at first I was hoping he would make it in Brawl, but seeing Brawl the way it turned out, it really doesn't matter much but still Mewtwo should definetly make a comeback with him getting at least a new move instead od confusion whick I really didn't like, as well as bit buffed up with more weight (Armoreed Mewtwo alt.) other than that he's a good character who definetly deserves a spot back on a smash roster
