Yeah, I recognize that. The only non-generic and one-of-a-kind characters that Pokemon has are humans. :K

Legendaries are one-of-a-kind, but still mainly generic. Well, except in the Mystery Dungeon series.

A Space Pirate would be undeniably awesome, but just like the similarly awesome Goron, a generic character just seems... like a bad idea for those series. Especially when you still have far more important characters to choose from.

And while we're on the topic, DARKRAI FOR SSB4! :D

Has there actually been any discussion on whether or not they are making a fourth game? And I'd have to say that there are a lot of characters that should be in here. All the melee chars, brawl chars, and I'd have to say they should add the following: Megaman, Banjo Kazooie (<3), Knuckles, The animal crossing dude, just because he's pro and it would be easy to make a moveset, Lloyd and kratos from Tales of symphonia, aaaand last but not least, bomberman. That cast would be amazing. And no tripping, that too.

Out of Bomberman, Megaman, Snake, and Sonic (alphabetical order so nobody gets mad), I think this is the order for most deserving to least:

1. Megaman
2. Bomberman
3. Snake
4. Sonic

Sonic probably 'stole' the most money from Nintendo, then Snake. Megaman, I believe is Nintendo's greatest supporter out of all those 4.

Now, assuming Snake gets the boot for losing his status in Konami, we look to a new Kojima rep. Which games will we go for?

Well, the two most obvious to me are Castlevania and Boktai. Admittedly, I never played the former. Let's judge from here.

Question 1:

Has Castlevania/Boktai ever appeared on a non-Nintendo system?

Answer:

Castlevania has (if I am wrong, do not bash me, please simply correct me)

Boktai has not.

Question 2:

How would Castlevania/Boktai react to the other cast members for SSB4?

Answer:

As far as I know Castlevania has had no crossovers. However, assuming Megaman gets in, that makes a nice little spot for Django (referring to MMBN4 and Boktai 2).

Question 3:

Would they bring unique playstyles as Sonic and Snake did?

Answer:

(Please answer the possible new styles for Castlevania)

Django wields a solar-powered gun. It does not fire bullets, so it would be accepted. Here's how I see Django play:
B would be Dragoon frame. Tap B to fire a shot, Hold to spread.
His A moves could revolve around the many different types of frames the Gun Del Sol has.
Recovery could be a teleportation involving Otenko, similar to Mewtwo's.
Final Smash is quite obviously the Piledriver. He must target somebody like Link does. Then the Solar Piles swing up and soak the target with damage. The battle continues on while this happens, and Django is no longer invincible. Of course, the target is trapped.

I'd like to see this discussion of where Konami will look to next, especially amongst the smarter of us.

Actually, Simon Belmont appeared in the SSB inspired DreamMix TV World Fighters.

Other Konami characters include Solid Snake (that's right, Brawl isn't his first fighting game), Power Pro-kun, a Moai from Gradius, and Twinbee.

EDIT EDIT:For Golden Axe, Gilius really isn't that popular. The most popular character was Tyris Flare, who if we apply SSB speculation logic, also makes more sense for adding a female character to the game. Also, no Altered Beast either?
