lol. That's what its looking like. We have like less than 10 sheiks competing for 5 spots (I assume) as of now. Well this is just the first few days and I assume the ranking will be decided a few months later. That said there's plenty of time for people to catch up to and even pass Light even if you have been lazy with your tourney attendance recently (again, I assume since I'm not actually on the panel).
Point: Sheik mains. Go to tournies. ****. Get a gold sticker from Ankoku.
edit: Wow. Ok. Then Armada had no wins I consider notable. Had he won the match that kicked him out of genesis than I would give him props, but yeah... On that topic, I remember a european smasher speaking of Armada as if he was active in the Brawl scene and still places well. I just assumed, he never played brawl. Are there any other brawl tournies since genesis that he's been in? *does his own little search*

I could really not care less about getting rankings out quickly if all you want them for is bragging rights. As I said over half a year ago, claiming you're the top X player, where X is any character that isn't in the top 10, is like claiming you're the best at doing something that nobody else really cares enough about to do.
The obvious aim of anyone smart enough to set proper goals is for top player in a state or region, not top player of some random underplayed character.

I beat you because I use f-tilt safer and then can take you to death! I SHOULD BE #1!
No, not really. Most people will say that Sheik ditto's suck because we have a stupid like 30ish% - death combo on ourselves. That's why when I play a ditto I always make the rule of no more than two f-tilt's in a row.
Going to tournies is one thing. Doing good is another.
I am confident that if I go to a tourney right now I might place 15th or 16th out of 32. However, that is no good enough. I am far from being a pro player.
I would like to fix that though.

the only matchups i'd really use sheik for is snake (if i get better at it, way more fun than falco/marth v snake), space animals (mainly falcos), ganon (lol), diddy kong (if i get better at it, but i'll probably just stick to falco), yoshi (so fun)
