Perfectly spaced YL dittos would be pretty stupid. So many colliding boomerangs weak hits from colliding bombs. Up airs clanking with down airs.
Wouldn't perfect spacing just mean no one gets hit?

so, who wants to talk about g and w? I think that he should be moved up above mewtwo, zelda, and probably tied with roy below yoshi. even though he has a crappy shield he makes up for it with his awkward yet large moves and his awesometilts. I also think that he has strong gimping ability as well as ample kill/combo power. He is a horrible chacter dont get me wrong. i just think he is better than zelda/mewtwo and as good as roy.

roy's DD alone is better than mewtwo's entire character.

g&w has better dtilt, fsmash, grab combos, and fair (which is like all roy even has)

plus he actually has a recovery and can KO people reliably from grab

i know it's kinda apples vs. oranges

roy has a marginally worse recovery (i think roy's is better, but it's debatable) for a godly DD, a better throw game, better edge guards, weight (any), a shield (any), combos (any) and upair juggles.

normally i find theorycrafting to be relatively useless for predicting actual results, but... to be honest, i disagree with all of those except dash dance (fair enough, g&w's dash dance sucks), weight (except roy's higher weight and fall speed makes him easier to combo), and shield (roy's is pretty bad too though...)

his recovery is much better than roy's... he gets more vertical and horizontal distance, has a massive ledge sweetspot, has great options from the ledge, and (unlike roy) his up-b has very little lag when he lands onstage.

his throw game is very powerful. while roy can sometimes combo his throws into uairs or fsmash, g&w has an almost lagless uthrow and dthrow which chaingrab a surprising amount of characters... and then, he can grab combo every character in the game at reasonable percents into either fsmash or nair, which are both effective kill moves.

his edgeguarding is insane if you can execute correctly. fair alone shuts down a huge number of options for most characters. add in his dtilt, ftilt, nair, and fsmash, and you have a huge number of disjointed options which cut off almost all recovery paths for the opponent (obv. this is very situational). plus it's relatively low-risk, since his double jump and up-b are fast and effective at getting him back to the ledge if he decides to go offstage

man i wrote an essay lol. seriously though, i'd love to play some other low tier mains with my g&w to prove how strong he is.

Keep in mind that G&W's weight allows for him to get gimped by pretty silly things (I think Doc's downthrow is one of them, and Falco's is another).

This is pure theorycraft, but it seems like shielding a lot would shut him down. I don't care to fight enough of them to know for sure, though.
