Charizard's is solid as far as power goes, but its range is quite great and doesn't make any sense--

There is no sourspot. I spike Aether and stuff, no problem.

I thought the weakest spike was a ground based one like Zelda's dtilt, or are you guys simply refering to aerials?

this is hilarious, I told my brother that Charizard's spike HAD to be super disjointed. This pic confirms my suspicions lol

I think they're referring to aerial spikes. That said, does Zelda's D-Tilt send people downward if they're offstage?
I know it did in melee, im not sure about brawl, i was just using it as an example it was the first ground based one i thought of, all i remember from that thread way back when is that

Ganon
Ness
Zelda
Snake
were the 4 strongest spikes

Here are the best spikes in the game.

Edit: my bad, meteors. There are no spikes in brawl.

Full-hop immediate D-Air hits standing characters like Ice Climbers and taller, hah. It's pretty stupid--I can do it through Battlefield platforms and the like.

is meteor canceling a lot slower in brawl than in melee?(as in the amount of time before you can cancel) because I find meteors to be more effective than they were before.

Yoshi's spike is weak?
Ridiculously weak, dude. Yoshi can spike people at 150% and as long as they still have a double-jump they can quickly jump out of the hit-stun.

That said, as Yoshi, I've managed to survive getting spiked by Snake's f-air at 150% and Zelda's sweet-spotted d-air at 110% before (I had my double-jump, of course).

That's actually really nice to know. I had no idea that the hitbox was so big. No wonder when I tried beating while recovering with u-air I'd always trade hits... and die. >.>

Toon Link, too.

Does the U-Smash of Sonic have the potential to spike?
Yes, but it's a weak spike. Not even all that functional since you can't intentionally do it, either.

Yoshi's fair spike can still be lethal to some characters because it sets up nice footstool gimps.

@Ripple: Not unless ROB mains step it up. If they really start doing work in nationals and such, he has a good chance. He'd have to at least beat out tink.

Auspher: Very.

Sweet, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw your pic.

I agree, ROB is nowhere near down and out. And I won't stop until he's a notable character again.

Ohmagawsh, Ganon tier! ♥
My friend is going to love this. I imagine he'll say something like, "Ganon didn't get worse, and the others didn't get better, he just ftilted them out of bottom tier so he could have some peace."

was I the only one who saw a post from a guy named 'King of Murder' and immediately assumed it was a ganon main?

also, Rob cant go any higher, thats preposterous. He loses to sonic...

Btw. assuming I get there, accepting all rob vs sonic MMs at pound.

:awesome::awesome:

Only half right. I also main Ike who happens to be my first brawl main. Speaking of Ike, I find it funny that he was first assumed to be a bad character and later proved those people wrong with his good tournament performence and futher look into his arsenals. Kinda like Sonic. Also they both have blue spiky hair and a really extreme strong and weakness.
