I don't think anyone really has said that MK isn't the best character in the game. Given recent tournament results UNDER NON-BBR RULES though I think it's silly to think that MK needs to be banned in any sort of way. He is perfectly legal.

Very true. Under an old ruleset that forces a LGL mainly for MK, he's shown to be not as bannable at the expense of hurting characters that utilize the ledge as part of their game; however, there's been no tourney that has shown MK NOT being bannable under the BBR ruleset.

While not a personal insult, this was a pretty dumb statement. A lot of people have different reasons for why they think MK isnt bannable. Even your reasoning after was pretty dumb.

Theres no point even mentioning that anymore since they were removed from doing it. The old bbr pretty much got the smackdown for having such a bad ruleset.

One player doesn't justify the entire thing. Also, wasn't that back in like late 08? Anyways, what I'm saying is that if we have to place rules to limit a character from doing whatever he wants (save for IDC), then there's enough reason to ban him since you have to arbitrarily attempt to lower his natural skills in the game to match (or just come close) to the rest of the top tiers.

Thats a very disingenuous argument. People arent trying to lower his natural skill, theyre trying to prevent stalling. Everything else is a side effect.

I just wanted to make sure it was specific. Stalling is broken. However, stalling is generally universally agreed to be banned. The problem lies in that a few of the specific tools that allow metaknight (actually applies to a few characters, but mostly MK) to stall are also capable of being used in general gameplay. If you allow them he can stall, if disallow them it potentially hurts his gameplay. However I think its silly when people say things like:

1. We're attempting to intentionally restricting his natural skill
-No, the intention is to restrict his ability to stall. Everything else is a side affect.

2. Adding lgls is the same as preventing akuma from kicking.
-If Akumas kick allowed him to potentially stall the entire match, then yes. However this seems unlikely.

3. LGL's cause a slippery slope, whats to prevent us from banning other moves/tactics?
-The amount tactics/options that can be considered anywhere close to stalling, even for metaknight, is very limited. Ive never heard a serious attempt to limit anything else on metaknight that didnt in some way relate to stalling.

tl;dr, everything in regards to limiting metaknight revolves around stalling, not limiting his natural 'broken' skill.

So its been 3 months since the last tier list and I'm bored of this one already

Who's going up/down? The Peach hate train seems to be trundling along ok, I bet the Fox hate train is quite glad of that nice distraction. I haven't seen anyone moan about Pit for a while, where's he been hiding? What have Kirby and ROB been doing, seriously I don't know ;__; Sonic hype train is still going and I'm fairly certain that I can see the Wolf hype train in the distance. Is TL getting into high tier yet?

Sonic will crack top 20 above Zeik, Luigi, DK, and ROB.

Yoshi will break mid tier.

Kirby and Peach will stay put where they have been all the time, too bad to go higher, too good to be any lower.

Oh hell no, she's better than him. She's bad, but not that bad. She can't approach at all, but she can still do it better than him. She has a shield problem but his problem isn't any better either. She has a bad recovery, but he has it worse. She gets pressured, but not as hard as him. Her match-ups are better as well.
