I'm pretty sure I've seen Cort do that in many matches vs campy Foxes in the past. I don't know why no one ever noticed it before lol.

Anyway, the "Cort Yoyo" sounds dumb imo. "Corting" sounds better but I've always called it "the Cort."

"PULL A CORT!"
the cort = multiple snake ftilts (ssbb of course)

Zhu is very good vs Peach, but he doesn't have usmashes that are.. subtle? enough. I really just relied on him messing up his usmashes and occasional l-cancels and punish him as best I can. He does laser a decent amount so I have to generally be near him at all times (I usually full jump nair above him and float back and stuff if it misses, hoping he'll eventually jump into it. He actually does a lot in our set.)

I think I posted a lot more about the Fox vs Peach matchup somewhere else in this thread.

You have to get good at smash DIing uairs, Zhu never does uthrow -> bair which is much more effective vs players that smash DI uairs (I actually had a pretty good success rate vs his uairs in our set)
Yummy, feedback =D

Paul you got this, we'll train each other up in the matchup someday.

Turnips isn't the best idea.

DD and try to make it hard for them to space their Nairs. When you're at a low percentage, run up CC an anticipated Nair and Dsmash. When you can't CC anymore, run up shield works well too. It could mess up their spacing and you can punish them OoS with a FC Nair or grab.

If this doesn't work and the Falcon manages to space aerials against your shield, then there isn't much you can do. Just wait in your shield and try find an opening to Bair/Nair OoS. Otherwise, just roll away or Wavedash back OoS if no opening is found.

Also, do not make your shield approaches too obvious or else the Falcon will just run up grab you and a good Falcon who knows the match up can really screw you over with just one grab. He has a good number of automatics against Peach at various percentages unfortunately =\

You can also Fsmash/Upsmash to stop their Nair approaches but don't spam them mindlessly.

Basically, this match up is about controlling space as much as possible (just like any other match up). Try not to let Falcon take control of the stage. Once you take control, try to knock him off the stage as soon as possible. It's basic edge guarding from there.

I didn't go into too much detail but I hope this helps.

You're right. Sorry for the bad info. I was just pissed thinking about this falcon I was playing, and when I get mad at people, I want to death turnip them. I hate getting kneed when pulling a turnip. :(

While I'm on the subject. What are your shielding strategies against falcon's that spam d-air. I like to shield camp and wait things out, but when a falcon just jumps at me and stomps I tend to get shield stabbed by it. (I think his hit box gets underneath my shield and hits my feet.) Running away doesn't help much b/c then they just do a flying stomp and chase me down with it. Any ideas?

Assuming that question was for me then here is my advice:

DD to make it harder for them to space their Dair and Dsmash when given the opening. If you see it coming, then just sidestep it. You can even roll in/out if you see it coming. You should have enough time to react with all these options. It shouldn't be that hard lol.

If your caught in your shield and they space the Dair, they can follow up with a gentleman and there won't be much you can do because of shield stun. Like I said, in general, it's good to wait in your shield to find an opening to instant FC Fair/Nair/Bair OoS. And if the Falcon tries to go for the grab while you're hiding in your Shield, just Nair/Bair them away.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

This is a general help thread isnt it?
Either way i was wondering if L cancelling cuts the landing lag by the same amount every time?
Maybe its just the different lengths of hit lag that make this seem different so can someone clarify please? ^^

Falcons who approach with (and spam) dair are stupid. Nair them.

It's slightly in Falcons favor (60/40) IMO. But it's not a **** match up or anything. You just don't have experience.

LOL this works too.

L cancelling halves aerial lag, so it will be a different amount for each move.

Float cancelling reduces aerial lag to 4 frames, regardless of the move performed.

However, I believe in both cases, the animation is longer than the time given, but you can cancel after the first X frames into whatever you want.

Nothing cultish like Isai's, but yes, I think many smashers admire you. Especially Peach players...haha.
