Ha, that's a perfectly good reason to wait. The only way I could afford mine was saving for over half a year and getting generous amounts of birthday money.

z.z...sad to say this, but I'm waiting for a more "cheaper" reason. I'll just leave it at that.
250 is pretty steep for a handheld, and it's probably the biggest reason for the slow 3DS sales. I don't blame you, though personally I've already found worth in the system for how much I paid for it. I say that as someone who skipped out on all the previous DS's so take that as you will.

I was in the same boat as you. It's hard to justify $250 for a system upgrade, but if you're thinking of the 3DS as an upgrade you're doing it wrong.

I will definitely be looking forward to games on both 3DS and Vita. It's most likely just gonna come down to which one appeals to me more, or if I know someone who gets one and I'll get the other. Then we can trade :D

So you quit before the best games at the time came out (third gen)? Well...

Well, first gen is my favorite, but then it's third generation. Second generation is boring, lol.

Lol, he quit after the cream of the crop. It started going downhill with 3rd gen. I don't think 3rd gen was bad, but it was downhill from 2nd.

Meh, 5th gen was amazing, it just sucked being on DS. It made me not want to play it to be honest. I'm done with Pokemon until the middle version.

Anyways, I wonder if OoT 3DS boosted sales any?

I have both Black and White but honestly I haven't touched them after beating the 1st Gym. Most likely since I wasn't satisfied with Platinum, HG and SS. I lost the link of the sales and progress of the 3DS. I had it on my laptop but I left it when I came back home.

Nah, I didn't. That's pretty cool.

I just realized last night that you can use the stuff in your 3DS Sound folder with Mario Clock.

What didn't you like about HGSS?
I'm hoping to play Black and White someday. I'm still getting used to the names of the Pokemon though. Next time I get my hands on Platinum, I"m gonna finish it.

I like HG and SS a lot. I enjoy Platinum probably a bit more. All I've been doing is constantly going back and beating the Elite Four until my team hits 100. I already did all the EV training with them.

I tried watching the Pokemon anime a while back. It was fun for a little while, seeing Team Rocket still at their old tricks, but it quickly became dull.

As for the games, I've enjoyed all but gen 3, but even that one wasn't really that bad.

I'd say GS/HGSS were still better than BW. I like the metagame around BW more, but I like the 2nd Gen games in themselves more.
So like.
1. GS/HGSS
2. B/W
3. R/S/E/FR/LG
4. G/R/B/Y
5. D/P/Pt

D/P weren't good games, honestly. They brought a lot of good features... but that's it... features.

Also I'm not saying RBY was bad... it's just others are better.

Mmm, that's trash.
Out of the 20 games I doubt I'll find more than like 10 I'll actually play. :\

.... holy ****. Wonder if it's not too late to take mine back, because...that's just... .... w-wow.

The free games incentive is cool and all, but... damn.
