*sigh* It's NOT another DS, calling this another DS is like calling the PS3 another version of the Playstation (or Playstation 2) or the Game Boy Advance an alternative to the original Game Boy. The 3DS has a Gyroscope, a Motion Sensor, two cameras (for 3D pictures), a joystick, a larger resolution, 3D effects, one widescreen . . . . screen, and hardware that is on par or even more powerful than the Wii's. I'm leaning toward the latter based on the screenshots and videos shown.

Anyway, I wonder how much the games are going to cost. If they stay around the ds and psp games' price range, I'll be happy.

I'm actually against antipiracy. Not necessarily on a moral basis, but because it's a waste of the company's money IMO.

I give the average piece of software two weeks before it's cracked. Safe updater will probably come faster than the Wii's (IDK how long it took, I wasn't paying attention then) since it'll be a tad more urgent.

Credit for trying, Ninty, but you're stepping into a losing battle.

After nearly 4 years of failure, the ps3 was finally cracked a month or two ago. The next update killed the crack.

That's a bit more than 2 weeks, kid. If Sony can do pretty much win this "losing battle," so can "Ninty."

Iwata also said that Nintendo expected to keep game prices around the same price point as current DS releases. "We don't believe that the world is in a state where high priced software will sell well, so we don't believe it will be in a price range too far off from current DS software." And then Square Enix games will be ten dollars higher than that range.

Smart move, Nintendo.

Some of the magazine's readers are reporting that the scan obtained by VGTribune was photoshopped, and that it did indeed read "March 2011." Another scan on GoNintendo shows the release timetable in its unaltered glory.

@UberMario: That's a really good size for handheld. One thing I love about the 3DS is that it probably won't display a single image separated between the screens, since the resolution won't allow it, and none of the games shown so far have been proven to do that. I hated that about the DS.

I'm very excited, and supposedly (from the factory worker in China) it has a bigger battery than both DS/DSi.
Of course that's probably to handle all the extra....'oomph' that the system has, but meh, I'll take it.
