^ melee is more fun basically due to taking more skill to play, not being (comparatively) slow, and not having metaknight in it to fight against. and for more in-depth information, ask some of the other guys who have put more thought into it than i =P

because grmo likes melee more than brawl and he's the tournament organizer.

grmo's run a very successful, large brawl tournament before but he found he liked playing in and hosting the melee ones more. so he's doing melee.
