Oh, okay. His voice made me think of Kofi Kingston, who has Jamaican sounding entrance music...but...he's Ghanaian American so...that's still not Jamaican. Well crap, I'll stop now.
Hahahahahaha, I was thinking this too!

Funny how Kofi was Jamaican, then African, now he is billed as American. xD

Also Tyler, we should take down gold tonight if you are on.

So, while I'm generally an inflitrator kinda guy, I unlocked Drell Vanguard. Didn't know his HP and Barrier were low compared to Humans. Human Vanguards are so OP lol.

I would, but I haven't even tried Silver yet, lol. Uh...actually, were you talking to someone else? Because, uh, odd for that if there's 2 of me in here, haha.

Well, that's still a lot of points to spend, lol. Good thing you said that, actually. I was thinking about maxing out other things.

Do you suggest any sort of build for Vanguard so I don't screw myself over? xD

Links to the skills mentioned in this handy guide are there.

Vanguards are HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD

You will die. A lot. But by investing in Heavy Charge, your shields will recharge, you will stagger opponents like a boss, and with Inferno ammo LIGHT THEM ON FIRE.

Champion reduces cooldown like crazy.

Can't wait till next week, that's when my local EBgames will prolly get a new shipment of ME2 copies. Gonna snag a 2800 MSP card as well so I can play the DLC.

I'm not done with ME2 yet, god damnit!!!

So the DLC accidently went up on Xbox marketplace, but couldn't be downloaded. It confirms that the "From Dust" (or Ashes, whatever it is) is the spoiler squadmate like we all thought. Bioware confirmed this on their forums afterwards.

Also, I just got to half way through hacking on wave 10 on gold with 3 other guys. Unfortunately wave 10 on gold is just Phantoms and Atlases, and it spawned in the middle of them.

I am not too sure. I have been a Rewards Member for a long time, and I just signed up for the Gamers Club. You don't get a separate ID number or anything, so I'm assuming it reflects on your Rewards Zone card.

Okay, well I plan on going to a BB tomorrow.

I'll ask there and get back to you on this.

F8AL how far are you in ME2?
Almost done the main storyline, still gotta do the IFF mission. Just been doing side assignments for the past few days. Going to BB tomorrow to buy a new copy and a 2800 MSP card for the dLC.

A friend told me that I should do that (IFF) mission cause some of the DLC stuff won't work if I don't do it?

Your friend is lying.

Unfortunately you're going to miss out on a great teammate as you've done all the side missions and loyalty missions, and your next teammate is universally popular and is definitely the one with the most interesting history and one of the few squaddies that's actually majorly plot important, with great dialogue and reactions from other people in various missions, but because you've done everything, and squadmates don't talk in the DLC, it means you'll only have him for his loyalty mission and the final mission.

Wait, I'm done all the side missions? D:

SAD FACE

Is the new teammate the one which comes with new copies of ME2?

Yes it's that teammate, Kasumi and Zaeed are also cool (and incredibly helpful) but you can recruit them from the start seeing as though they're DLC.

Just to ask, why are you waiting so long to do the Reaper IFF?

This is what I get for playing through most of the game with a used copy. Oh well, I'll be sure to take full advantage of that teammate on my next playthrough.

I thought the game would end. D:

Yeah, I don't remember when I did the DLC stuff. @__@ I had read recently some stuff could and couldn't be done post game.

And then it occurred to me that there's DLC that can only occur AFTER the game. @___@

After? Could you please explain. My plan was to beat all the DLC then the main storyline.

The IFF mission isn't the last one, right?

i'm pretty sure you can do everything before the suicide mission but there are a few cutscenes with the crew afterwards

as a male shepard, i've romanced every female i could, miranda was the best one, tali had a great story, jack sucked...there was nothing, liara was a pan-out wanting more

:)

i was kind of surprised with the ease of the final mission, the only time i died was against the scions in which they hit with shockwave when it was no where close to me (it was like launching a missile at taiwan only to get hit by it in italy)

The game ends when you go through the Omega 4 Relay and do the suicide mission, the derelict Reaper isn't the Omega 4 Relay. And even then you can do side missions after the final mission and it'll still carry over to ME3.

You can do DLC whenever you want, and you get the option to do them all before Horizon (except Arrival which happens after Horizon) it's just that some missions make more sense storywise if you do them after the final mission (AKA Arrival).

Gotcha, thanks again for the help. :)

Understood, I guess I'll do the IFF mission the next time I play ME2 then mainly focus on the DLC. Thanks again for your help, Pluvia, really appreciate it.

And I'm off, gonna pick my stuff up now. I rarely buy DLC (I've only really bought it for Halo 3 and Rock Band.) but this game has taken over my life and I want more! :p

Yeah, it's just been a while since I've played them (like a year or two). And the most recent thing I read said you couldn't do it post-end-game. I just didn't have my head on straight.

Gotcha, thanks again for the help. :)

Godspeed, soldier.

EDIT:

I just had the launch ME3 DLC "From Ashes" character (AND ONLY THE CHARACTER) spoiled for me. I reveal my thought on, and what it is in the following spoiler tag. Read at your own risk, obviously.

On the one hand, I'm not surprised by the Prothreans showing up. On the other, AWESOME.

If it turns out that the guy was
just hiding out... for fifty-thousand years... not telling anyone his story
I'm going to be butthurt to the extreme. Talk about retcon, mang. Of course, if it turns out
that he was at Ilos in one of the cryopods and only just recently woke up
I could accept it, I guess. That's still a bit weird since
Vigil's prime directive was to keep himself running and functional for as long as possible, which I would assume to mean that he wouldn't even risk lowering his power levels to what would cause glitches such as NOT KNOWING THERE ARE STILL PROTHEANS ALIVE IN THE FACILITY
. But better.

I dunno, I believe in Bioware I guess, but I'm not crazy about it, nor the
anthropomorphic EDI >_>

Okay, I'm back with a brand new sparkling copy of ME2 and a 2800 MSP card!

My current plan is to now beat ME2, then input the code to get the extra character and DL and complete all of the DLC on my 2nd play though. (Which I will start immediately.)

Yay or nay?

EDIT: More questions...

When I start another play through, do my squad/teammates have the existing powers and are levelled up from my previous play through?

That sounds fine, as it's better to appreciate the DLC characters all through the game. You'll come to love them both that way.
Good to hear, I want to get the FULL experience on my next play through.

How much longer do I have right now? IFF mission then I'm assuming it's the suicide mission? Gonna try and beat ME2 before the end of this week.

EDIT:

@ theeboredone: I asked, yeah we get those benefits.

And ODIN could you please clarify your previous post? You said that some of the DLC can only be done after the final mission?

Yeah, something happened in ME2 that I can imagine would make them disappear. It's called the beginning of the game. :bee:
Well, I assumed that they revived Shep with everything he had. I guess I was wrong.

@F8AL, you have the IFF, then a mission will show up for a squad member. Do that. Then go do suicide mission.

Well, I don't actually HAVE a legit reason as to why he doesn't have the visions anymore, Zaki, I was just trying to be clever.
