I have a question. Did any Canadians on here pre-order Mass Effect 3 from Amazon.ca? I'm asking because for some reason my ME3 order details show the delivery estimate (which I guess is the received date) to be March 14th-16th, even though I used Express shipping which should be like...2-3 business days. So I'm wondering...anyone else have this problem, would it make they're not getting it/shipping it on day of release, or what?

I mean, my copy of KOFXIII shipped on the release date when it said it wouldn't ship until the 25th, but still, hype for this game's got me anxious.
They love to screw us over, you'll get used to it.

It'll prolly update as that date comes closer.

I'm playing with a friend w/ voice chat and have been on it for about 3 hours, lol.

It's actually a lot more fun when you have people with voice chat that you're playing with since you can go over things a lot more and it's easier to get back-up when needed, an idea of what's going on, etc. Plus, you feel more like a team and all that.

I dunno, I usually play 2-3 matches per session. Even though I've only totaled about 5 sessions, it's just getting a bit repetitive for me. I mean, it's just something I might think about if I decide to buy this game used or not.

Are you playing on difficulties harder than Bronze?

Anyway he's not Jamaican he's got an African accent Livewire.

Oh, okay. His voice made me think of Kofi Kingston, who has Jamaican sounding entrance music...but...he's Ghanaian American so...that's still not Jamaican. Well crap, I'll stop now.

It comes with an online pass.

Played one in silver. Didn't go so well, but the overall theme was the same. I guess the MP would be more interesting if it had more modes, perhaps more story oriented. I could have sworn that's what Bioware was aiming for.

I know, I'm just saying, I might not bother with it by buying it used.

It is story oriented, you're the strike team sent in to fight in areas that Shepard clears in the campaign, and your progress in multiplayer will have effects in single player.

Silver is much different from Bronze. It's the same thing technically, but the whole experience is completely different as it gets more intense. Bronze is like a boring stroll in the park.

The way I always figured it worked Pluvia was that Bronze is what you do until you get decent equipment, a decent level, and more familiarity with the game. So, kind of like...Bronze is preparing you for Silver.

Right, it's more story oriented then it is being made out to be in the demo. But I also read that Bioware does not plan on "blocking" the best ending if you don't bother with MP. Meaning there will be a way to achieve it, rendering the MP a bit useless. Though I guess I'll wait and see how the full MP is. I was also hoping for more "mission" based gameplay, where you and two people online run through an area and finish a task. Sort of like co-op story I suppose.

I think the Multiplayer just makes it easier so you can do a bit of each. Like, if I have an hour or more, I'll play single player, but if I have say, just half an 20-45 minutes to kill, I'll probably bust out Multiplayer for a round or two.

No you can get 3 fully upgraded and 2 to level 4 I think.

Anyway there's spoilers jumping around the place. Apparently someone got their hands on a copy of the game.

So here's a weird gameplay mechanic, but I'm not sure if it counts as a spoiler, but I'll spoiler it anyway:

It's technically possible to get the absolute best ending in the game by just playing multiplayer, no matter how bad your single player playthroughs were in all 3 games. But to get it you'd have to get a character to level 20 about 150 times, so in the hours it'd take you to do that you could play through ME1, 2 and 3 numerous times.

Hmmm. I wonder why they just don't let us max out on stats.

I think you can actually max out all your powers in multi-player, to be honest.

However, I know with single-player, it probably has to do with wanting you to decide which powers are most important to you as a player. For example, in ME2, I put as few points towards Concussive Shot as possible, so everything else could be higher for whatever character had it.

That's cool, then.

As a Vanguard in ME2, I didn't put any stats on Charge, and only on Pull, some ammo power, and Throw. Never used Charge except for mis-clicks.

On ME3 multiplayer, I'm doing the same thing, lol. But I am using Charge A LOT when it seems useful. It's really fun.

Who has PC here again? I have the demo on all consoles, but I prefer PC or 360 since I have voice chat on. My PS3 mic; I dunno how to work it, lol. I've only been playing on PC though, since I have a cousin who wanted me to party up.

No I was talking about multiplayer.

Also if you haven't noticed I have an insane amount of knowledge on Mass Effect. I like how everyone just ignores what I say despite the fact I'm like an encyclopedia for the technical aspects of this game.

If you're referring to the Vanguard sucking, I just don't care. I personally feel like BW screwed them over with the powers. If it was about the level points, that could be done with simple math given the max level, right?

And tbh, I really haven't noticed. I don't check this thread often enough, I guess... Not holding it against you or anything. Looking back at your posts, I see enough proof.

Anyway, I'm getting used to the controls with the new dodge mechanics. Starting to fly like a free bird~

Maybe once the game releases, we can update the OP with our game IDs and their respective consoles? Unless we have something like that already elsewhere.

The Vanguard isn't as bad as I first presumed, you can upgrade his Charge so it restores 100% of your shield, which is incredibly handy.

I guess that makes Sentinel the worst class now.

Well, that's still a lot of points to spend, lol. Good thing you said that, actually. I was thinking about maxing out other things.

Do you suggest any sort of build for Vanguard so I don't screw myself over? xD

doing this as an adept is such a pain in the ***

i even have every single upgrade, just the adepts low life forces me to take much longer on missions, there was one mission with varren attacking an injured quarian, biggest pain ever since my guy is definitely not meant for CQC at all, thank god for the arc projector
