Here's my theory of euro brawl.

America got melee. We had fun cause we didnt have competitive smash back then. Then we found out the game was kinda imbalanced. Meanwhile the euros get melee and they get a more balanced version than we did.

Now we have brawl, and we already know the game has absolutely no balance what so ever. WOULDNT IT BE HILARIOUS IF EUROS GOT YET ANOTHER BALANCED VERSION OF SMASH (I can see you're in Finland, sorry for generalizing)

What's gunna suck is that I bet they dont get the mortar sliding snake. That and DOUCHE DOUCHE! gets nerfed. :(

Well the european Melee still wasn´t very balanced so don´t worry. Those d*mn spacies still kept beating you to a bulb no matter what you did and there just weren´t any way to fight back with the chars I main... or maybe it´s just my (lack) of skills...

+ We propably won´t get giga Jiggly glitch, so all the best things´ll be removed XD

Word on the street is your fox doesnt have the Upsmash of Justice.

That alone would knock fox down a peg.

My buddy plays Y. Link and I tell him to stop playing like Brawl and quit spamming.
That's what you're supposed to do with Young/Link, you newb. If he wins like that, find a way to counter it. :urg:

ya know, i could see that. With what little i know about PAL, i could see that.

How y.link gets dropped to bottom tier is scary, though. >.>

... and how yoshi... is... 3rd low WHAT THE **** ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING OVER THERE o_o

did you guys get a heart and give yoshi a 3rd jump or something?

People stopped posting on the Link boards.

Fox not having the **** usmash doesn't matter, he'd still have uthrow uair which is just as good and can be done out of shine like the usmash.

Edit: I hear an apple a day doesn't keep Doctor Mario away, discuss.

I doubt Yoshi has a third jump in PAL. I don't think they'd change the physics of a character so much as to take away one of their attacks in another version, in this case, removing Yoshi's egg throw and giving him a third jump instead. Maybe people just play Yoshi a lot in PAL areas and represent Yoshi so well that he jumps up quite a bit in the tier list over there due to people placing high with Yoshi.

Yoshi is significantly heavier in PAL (3rd heaviest character). Also, he can't be chaingrabbed by Sheik.

mind giving comments? the fox also ***** my sheik, so i tried to get a cool doc match for you guys, but it didnt work out so well :D
You float waaaay too much.

If you want to float around doing FH u.airs like that, or hell, the FH empty jumps you did, you get rewarded with shines and usmashes.

Another thing is you just flat out cannot be scared and spotdodge everytime fox runs in on you, or you get grabbed or upsmashed.

The last thing I saw was trying to approach with u.air. Now dont get me wrong, i dont think approaching with u.air is specifically dumb, but it's overall bad. It's the SHORTEST approach you have. Meaning the only way you're catching somebody with it is if they're running towards you, or unless they're somebody like peach (who will have here *** out to stop you regardless).

Fact of the matter is, you're not gunna u.air approach a fox unless he's hellbent, in which case this one wasnt.

-watched vid again-
oh, and you roll alot. Im kinda a big advocate of not rolling unless you absolutely need to, but all bias aside, you rolled alot in the beginning. Which lead to some damage for fox.

Agreed with Dogy's overview of the match, but why the random UpB cancels? I know it's a cool trick to learn but... it's so situational, it's not something to throw out randomly or else you get punished.

To expand on DogySamich...

...man that's a really hard to take seriously name. But anyway!

I don't think the whole up B cancel thing is working out for you. The time you did hit with it, it didn't really lead into anything, and you messed up with it a few times, which leads to easy punishment.

I noticed you were approaching a lot with bairs and such, but you never used pills or nairs. Maybe it was because of the pressure Fox was putting on you, but pills help a lot on the approach.

You seemed to fall into Fox's game a lot. I noticed that he always seems to dash away then dash back into an attack. Try wavedashing back when he's dashing in so that he whiffs, as he really didn't seem to vary it up too much

On the first stock, I think you could've ledgedropped straight into a Super Sheet, and that probably would've nailed him. Just a thought, though.

Your Doc is ok but you could of done a bit more with pill spam, also it's not worth doing the Up B cancel if you can't do it at least 85% of the time without hitting someone (It's really best used out of a shield to break up your opponents rhythm a bit and maybe counter something like the pillar).

you're gunna get pressured, especially by fox. That's what fox does and why fox is top tier.

The thing is, you have to be able to either 1) read the pressure or 2) move away from the pressure.

Spotdodging because he's running in will not always save you. Heck, doing anything to lock you in a certain position because he's running in (read: spotdodging, blocking, rolling) will not save you. Sometimes you have to face the fear and just move. Whether you wavedash, jump, hang a f.tilt/f.smash/u.tilt if you're convinced he's coming in.

That´s just too true. And talking about tiers, here are answers considering Yoshi: Yoshi doesn´t have third jump, he is heavy and all of his smashes own.

The thing is, you have to be able to either 1) read the pressure or 2) move away from the pressure.
You can also keep killing yourself so that Fox player gets confused and also start doing suicides. Then you just have to make sure that Fox dies before you when you´re at the last stocks (mindgames son).

Yomi I watched that match of you vs. Ravenlord. I don't know whether to take it seriously because you said the match wasn't that serious because you knew you'd lose. That kinda confuses me seeing as how in the title of the match it says LB Final, Loser's Bracket Finals? If you ask me that's pretty dayum serious.

Change your view. Don't expect to lose, just expect to do your best. If you expect to lose, you're going to. If you expect to do your best, you will do your best.

Neverender I saw your match. To be honest I can't really give advice on Mario but I'd say look up on Green Mario on YouTube. He taught me a few things with Doc. back in my old days.
