B4 I read what u said let me clairify... I'm gonna say ESAM is da bess no matter what cuz of FL bias...(& its fun trolling u)yeah come on now lol. M2k said it best, ' Everyone here could probably beat me.' Japan is still better than US. Vinnie and M2k both leveled up a ton due to their extra dedication and the Japanese teaching. they were teaching both different tactics, ESPECIALLY Vinnie. Vinnie got that premium mentorship.
@B_AWL : You have horrendous logic. 9B > Vinnie over all. But Vinnie on point is far closer than before. Esam isnt better than 9B or Vinnie. IC dittos dont dictate that.
Japan's ratio of talent per player is still remarkable.
In any case I would definitely say Vinnie, M2K, Quik and Havok stepped up to the plate. People can talk ish about Quik's "easy" bracket, but that was in relation to the other side of the bracket. It was still hard overall and he was playing phenomenal. He defeated a top Marth and showed he could play at that level. Give the man his due. Hes not some "free European LOL", hes a very capable ZSS. Good job quik.
Overall I think this was a good day for Brawl. Vinnie was mad close to victory, some Japanese Wifi Snake putting others on blast, Earth domination of M2k, Masha doing work, and 9B losing another 2 sets in his IC career.
The only thing im annoyed at really is IC dittos; I wish it didnt go down like that. Whether 9B or Vinnie won I would mind either way but the way it happen.ugh. Didnt looked earned at all. Takes a certain skill level to take advantage of such scenarios and that in itself shows Vinnies improvement but yeah. Worst set in the tournament imo.
Can we finally have some raw Pits now besides Koolaid? Earth was lookin beast.
The thing is that this was the last tournament for most of Japan's commonly known top players and also M2K if what he said is to be believed.I think arguing about how much better Japan is than America is kind of silly - the fact of the matter is, there are top players here who are able to compete with the top players there, so it's not like America is hopelessly behind with no talented players to play and grow with unless we travel abroad.
I could see him beating all those players you mentioned. I'm pretty sure he gets a great seeding which means that if he fights 9b, it's usually in the finals which means he has to beat some great players along the wayNo, I wouldn't say it is to that extent. Hayase is kinda like SLS, but possibly better.
He rarely plays the other part of Japan where most of the top players are (Otori, Nietono, Yui, Shu, Masha)
Hayase is really good, but all I see him doing is beating 9B once a year or so. And as shown here, 9B is certainly beatable so I wouldn't say Hayase is as important as Esam. He is just able to beat 9B and is really good but do you really think he'd destroy Nietono/M2K/Otori/Vinnie? I dunno.
The other part of Japan honestly does not compare in top players to the Rain, Otori, Yui, Shu, Nietono, Brood side and Hayase has never gotten to even fight SLS to my knowledge. So Hayase honestly doesn't get to fight great players. Look at his last tournament results. His hardest opponents were Earth and Suinoko lol. http://allisbrawl.com/blogpost.aspx?id=138240I could see him beating all those players you mentioned. I agree with your point about Hayase, but I think that 9B counts as difficult considering he's only lost to Otori, Vinnie, and Hayase IIRC.His hardest opponents were Earth and Suinoko lol. http://allisbrawl.com/blogpost.aspx?id=138240
Nope.Vinnie went across the world to Japan and almost won it all, how is that not cool? Have you no national pride?!?!
This.Terrible seeding? Blame that on people who place poorly in pools LOL, top6 get out
2. USA =/= Japan. Japan is better. But its not some huge, insurmountable gap.1. Vinnie has **** all over ALL doubters
2. USA AND JAPAN ARE EQUAL
3. USA stepped it up since Apex
4. I honestly was thinking Europe/Quik was legit until every1 said his bracket was free until Rain(who he lost 2 and then lost the next immediate match I think).
5. M2K got ****ed over... no1 told him the rule and in all honesty there was no reason 4 Masha... a player equal 2 DEHF to take a taited win like that.
6. Sonic dittos suck ***
7. I'm proud of Rain the most! He went from getting whooped w/ falco @ Apex 2010 and won SRT w/ MK. That's A LOT of improvement!
8. M2K should be proud and keep his head held high. Bcuz his only solid losses came from a MU he had no exp in(Earth) & an aggressive MK(Otori) that is a style in which he isn't able 2 beat(because Nairo and Otori are dead even vs MK... u can watch the APEX2012 GF over and over and you will agree that every match could have gone either way)
9(B) has be surpassed by Vinnie... who in 2 out of the 3 biggest tourneys minus APEX2012 has PROVEN that he can be the BEST.
10 ESAM is officially the best ICs in the world now(Not even meatriding since I'm from fl)
11 Now that Americans have traveled ppl from OOC won't be like"Americans never travel blah blah blah"
12 now that we see how Japan teams 2gether American teams are going 2 be more stacked with ACTUAL TEAM TACTICS!
this.just like every other fighting game, Japan's tops and America's tops are equal
it's just the density of skill that's different. all other nations bow to Japan's depth + distribution of quality players imo
and this. When the people placing dead last at this tournament can take friendly games off of M2K, you know that the average player skill is a bit higher than the U.S.
definitely that. Quik deserves some big ups.In any case I would definitely say Vinnie, M2K, Quik and Havok stepped up to the plate. People can talk ish about Quik's "easy" bracket, but that was in relation to the other side of the bracket. It was still hard overall and he was playing phenomenal. so it's not crazy to think that Japan is solidly better than the US
Thats not really fair to say. hes always been high level.Ultimately that doesnt really matter though. Japan>USA but we are capable of learning from them. Vinnie learned a ton and so did M2K. Quik obviously catapolted to high level from playing those players.
More like Anti going to Genesis 2 since he didn't enter singles. Now that I think about it Hayase is kinda like Anti since Anti rarely enters Nationals but can beat Nairo/M2K/Esam and such.
I can say Anti dropping out of Apex 2012 pools is similar to Hayase not doing SRT.
How can you be this ****ing ********?B_AWAL said:10 ESAM is officially the best ICs in the world now(Not even meatriding since I'm from FL
Totally trollin(I admitted I was FL meatridin/trollin a while back)How can you be this ****ing ********?
Unless you're trolling, then my bad lol.
Liar. You just caved and said you were trolling cause Vinnie posted in the thread and you didn't wanna seem like a stooge.Totally trollin(I admitted I was FL meatridin/trollin a while back)
Congrats & Thank you 4 doin what u did in Japan. U MERELY lost... There wasn't a player that was "better" than you @ that tourney.
Nope not a stoogeB4 I read what u said let me clairify... I'm gonna say ESAM is da bess no matter what cuz of FL bias...(& its fun trolling u)
