Up taunt should be used out of air grab release, as it has the fewest frames. Also, I trend to taunt in the direction the blast zone was, so to keep it mixed up. You have to remember, we have a taunt that puts enemies to sleep, since sing cannot be considered an actual attack.

I crouch a lot cuz the sound is awesome. Either that or I do the fully charged downsmash. But on rare occasions if I ever I get a star KO I do the shield break thing and escort them to their DOOM!

Mink!

I'm going to a small Debra Romer concert this Tuesday night. Gonna ask her to lunch at DreamWorks Animation. As the wise Rafiki once said, IT IS TIME.

People play puff. Actually they're starting to derp around with her in TX a lot. I saw like 5 people use puff last time I went.

I just think a new guide would be nice and maybe put puff back on the map.
But maybe not, I'm just a new gen, what would I know? :/

There have been plenty of people that have tried to perform a "revival" of sorts in the Puff board, before. You're looking at the forefather of such attempts. Mink was the last to try.

It can't be helped.

Know what would revive it?
A nice new puff guide.

The guide we have is a new puff guide. If there is anything outdated or missing, or anything really I specifically said to post a comment in the guide or contact me and I'll update + give credit.

Want to know what will REALLY put Jigglypuff on the map? Some actual, substantial tourny results or new technology.. not a "new" flashy guide.

Thats exactly what we need. A motiviated enough player to make Jigglypuff work.

Which, is tough, because if they're a good player they'll stop playing Jigglypuff and play a character that will actually give them a chance at winning.

Timing out with Jigglypuff is the clear way to go. And If I still had my passion for the game like I did years ago I might've been able to do something with it. The fact that I was able to time out a notable Diddy such as Player-1 who also has Jigglypuff exp (and I didn't even practice for Apex 2012 mind you) is enough to show that this tatic works.

I've always hoped that Jigglypuff would rise on the tier list one day, but with Smash 4 coming eventually and the inactivity and motivation for most of us I just don't see it happening. Jigglypuff had potential but nobody caught onto it fast enough and its too late now.

On the plus side... we have a top tier taunt metagame.

Three great regular taunts, uncharged rollout, crouching, fully charged dsmash, sing, shield breaker, the essence of playing Jigglypuff in brawl...

Our character is the best taunt in brawl.

Umm, Nova's Zelda is atrocious.

He like... stands there, and then will up-smash someones shield.

I haven't played his Zelda, but I've seen a few matches where he turns into Zelda and instantly loses a stock because he's like: "OH A SHIELD, I'LL UP SMASH IT".

And then he'll try it again.

Ad infinitium.

I recall Apollo telling me that when he used to play, when Nova went Zelda, it was literally a free stock for him. lul.

I feel puffs would get recognized for amazing spacing and hard baiting. I had some people tell me to not go puff because I kept baiting attacks by doing retreating jumps and then getting my aerial in when they whiffed it. And then on top of that, I ran HARD.
But anyway, just my two rupees. I don't know anything super smart bout puff. I just feel that with jiggles, it's more advanced baiting tactics we should rely on. Baiting shield by approaching aerials, intentional roll mind games, short hop air dodges past the opponent, back and forth dairs, and of course empty jumps.

But like I said.......just my two rupees.
