P.S. I made that rarity .gif.
It was supposed to be a few frames of here looking around like an idling 8-bit game character. However, i found out how much work it was a gave it up. I'm a programmer, not an artist. I make your character jump, not make them look good.

I think I should quit Brawl. The game has lost it's touch and has become a chore to me. I also got pretty bored of MK and Puff sucks too much to be of any use, putting me in a ****ty situation.
What do you say? Is it my time to end this now? :(

Beat around the bush? Wtf does that even mean? :D

Anyways, the thing is that I don't know if I enjoy the game or not. Sometimes it sucks and sometimes I am having the time of my life. It's really hard to decide what to do.

That phrase combined with my "hidden" edit of your post helps to express my doubt concerning your "boredom" of MK.

Just take it easy.

I didn't beat around the bush D:
I just lack the motivation with my favorite characters who are the only ones I am good with. Only char I really enjoy right now is Peach and mine sucks big time.
I have tried to take it easy it and not play for a while, maybe it helps, maybe not.

I recently wanted to quit this game. But then at the very next tournament I won $270 dollars.

Maybe the same thing will happen to you.

Whoa I didn't know that T-Block was Asian as well!!!
That explains how he was helping me in the math help thread :D
Asian union <3

Switch to Pokemon Trainer.
Do you ever use Jiggs at tourneys?

I've found that the more competitive Brawl is, the less fun it is, lol. Like...I'll have more fun doing FFA's in friendlies than actual tourney matches or MM's. Except brawling casuals is the worst, lol. I used IC's CG at a casual school tourney (Smashballs on, all stages legal) and I got called a douchebag and got kicked out for "cheating".

Also you should switch to Olimar ^.^

Did I? I just pop into that thread randomly and if there's something I can do without thinking too hard I do lol

Nah, my Jiggs sticks to MM's mostly. There was a time when I would have used her in low tier, but Lucas has taken that spot now.

Usually I'm pretty good with math, but my school goes faster so we take Algebra 1 in 7th grade, Alg2 in 8th and Geometry in 9th. And my Geo teacher was new and gave tests that lasted 2 days, and tested us on stuff and taught it afterwards >.>

I would switch to Ivysaur if he was soloable
me too! or at least also main Ivy
Why the hell does everyone want to play Ivysaur? Makes no sense to me.
they do? ffff i wonder why?
Ivy reminds me of Zelda, nice and slow, easy transition. unlike going to Fox for Zelda or Peach to JP. random resting cause i wanna pull a turnip. D:

I always wonder that, but i think thats just the love/hate thing i have w/ brawl. maybe a break or just going random for a bit and finding a new character for a bit will help. i recently was randomly interested in sonic for like 3 days, but it kept my interest in brawl.

casual brawl sucks so hard sometimes! all the rolling, the complaining for nothing.....

"Why are you mad when Ftilt kills you at 140%? its fresh and i'm ****ing Zelda you dumb Kirby!"

now that i can Dacus w/ JP on command i can't wait for the complaints of cheats.....

but casual brawl is usually all i can get....so what can you do? :awesome:

I gotta get my hands off that MK for a while. Need to play characters that actually require some skill to use I guess. Gotta have to trust my totally awesome Peach for a good while until I get my interest back.
And casual Brawl is so damn fun when you play with good players. Blows off some steam and gets some good laughs.

And with that I am off to bed.

Everybody practice timing out people with Jigglypuff by enduring 15 minute multiman brawl and getting the least damage possible.

LOL I'm using peach to, cause she's fun, but mine sucks big time xD

And puffster that tactic is legit I always do 15 min brawl before I'm playing my friends. It keeps me patient.

Planking is one of my favorite things to do in this game but I always forget to count my grabs, how many ledge grabs are generally legal?

I once planked the crap out of snake and he killed himself 2 outa the 3 stocks :D(lol worst snake ever)

Its 50 grabs.

Jigglypuff can generally scourge under the level without grabbing the ledge for 10-14 seconds.

With 8 minutes on the timer thats 480 seconds. Which means if you start planking right when the match stats you can only grab the ledge once every 9.6 seconds which Jigglypuff CAN manage. However, most of the time you probably won't start planking until there are around 450 - 420 seconds left in the match. Which means you'll still only be able to grab the ledge only once per 8.5 seconds.

Pick a stage such as battlefield or smashville. Grab the ledge with puff, without using any jumps use pound until you get close to dying, and then fly back up with your 5 jumps. You can even mix them up so your opponent will never know which side you'll come up on. If the character isn't somebody who can normally stay off the edge for a while, then this should be a pretty legit tatic.

Notable Matches that this could work against:
Snake, Diddy, IC, Falco, Olimar

You forgot to factor in that you have to stay on the ledge for like 20 frames or whatever before you can leave. Also, using all your invincibility frames on the ledge would make it even more managable.

Edit: GIF's are fun.

One of those was inappropriate, Blissard.

Plank off sounds fun xP

Event 1: Fewest ledge grabs over the course of eight minutes without touching the ground.

I say we use SV as mush as possible for this plank off.
I'll try to see how good I can do tomorrow :)
This will be great to help me be more patient

Event 2 will be a 1v1 with two rounds

Round 1, Player 1 will try to avoid being hit by Player 2
Round 2, Player 2 will try to avoid being hit by Player 1

Whoever takes the least damage wins

Lylat should be a good stage too. The only ones that aren't good are PS1, Castle Siege, and YI because they have no stage to go under. As for FD its probably a little bit tougher and you can't really switch which ledge you want to grab on the spot.

So as long as your opponent doesn't strike Lylat, BF, and SV, you should be fine. And unless they know you only want to play on these three stages, I can bet you hardly anyone will strike all three of these.
