Houston Thread - No HOBOs and no WHOBOs. What do we do now??????????????????????????????????????????

Too long didn't read much of anything after Pj's post.

I'm sorry to see another player go, part of my goals in Smash was to defeat Illmatic and Pj in tournament.

Honestly I'm glad that I was lucky enough to be in a city with truly top level players around to knock me silly. You can look at GF sets for much weaker regions/states/cities that could be Loser's Quarter Finals in Houston. I was always a bit glad that if I could overcome my immediate obstacles, there would be more beyond that. I'd find much more satisfaction in losing to Razer/Gnes/Trela and getting 4th than beating Illmatic/Pj/Sync/Bio etc. and that being the end of the run.

I don't think its too late to pick up another character if you want to, alot of the most important things will transfer over. We've seen top players of one character (like Ally/Shugo/Malcolm) quickly rise to the top with another character.


@people being unbanned, honestly I don't see how its so hard not to break such an easy rule. If you have porn you would like to share with others, invite them to some other chat room like Xat or AIM. If you are important to your community, you should be more careful.

tho its just a site based around a couple of small/shrinking communities, just give people a break and unban em.

Hell, it even says in the rules "Smash Boards strives to maintain a family-friendly site." But then again, I see people (especially mods) get away with discussion about questionable things, so whatever. Double standard the best.

It's their rules, just follow em.

Hate em? Leave. Go to Allisbrawl or whatever poop sites are around.

Deal with it.

I agree very much with all of your points and I think we've been trying to communicate this but from opposite ends.

I see the value of hardship and a romantic journey, but I feel it turns too often into a hopeless one when we are considering this community. We only live once, indeed, but with gaming I think it's easy for us to dream too hard and forget to wake up.

I think that's a good place for me to end this conversation. It was fun. :]

So I just saw the Avengers with Trela, Trela's brother, and Trela's smokin' hot sister

Trela's brother thought it'd be a great idea to let me know when every good scene was about to happen 5 seconds before it happened...

I liked the movie. I expected it to be cheesy typical bad super hero stuff but it was done really well. Lot better than that piece of **** Captain America that I watched before I saw the Avengers.

But I leave with this, Dark Knight > Avengers, Allan whatever new version of crack you're on, I want some.

Also I really can't wait for Dark Knight rises

And lastly, Trela tell your sister to call me :smirk:

GUYS.

Tonight I saw a good movie and a bad movie.

The good movie was called Return of the Killer Tomatoes. It was a ridiculous comedy I'd actually like to compare to Airplane! and was pretty good. It was very funny and featured a very very young George Clooney. Worth checking out.

The bad movie was called Death of a Ghost Hunter or something. It was one of the biggest pieces of **** I've ever seen, and I purposely go out of my way to watch bad movies. This wasn't even fun in a bad way. It was an hour and 40 minutes long, but felt at least two hours long, with an ending more drawn out than Return of the King. Except Return of the King was a good movie. Not worth checking out.

Also, my friends put on the first episode of an anime called Ouran High School Host Club or something like that. wtf it was gay as hell and I will never watch another episode. American cartoons >>>>>>>>>>> books >>>>>> anime

So the week before Hobo, I'm going to be in Houston staying with Sync and co. I'm not sure the exact days I will be there. (Depends on when they can have me. Still need to work all that out.)

Regardless, while I'm there I'm going to be playing a lot of Smash. Like... a LOT. I wanna try my hand at helping anybody and everybody improve who wants to, and teach as many people everything I possibly know about this game. I want to give everybody as much MK and IC practice as possible while sharpening up all of my own skills and getting ready for Hobo and later, SKTAR.

I'll have more details after I talk to Sync more.
