the dog,the dog he's at it again!
Yeah, I'm aware of A&C Thursdays and I'm fairly close by. I'll try to come for the monthlies or whatever, but on Thursdays I'm usually in the east end playing board games. :)

Sucks having conflicting hobbies.

Anyway, yeah, that's why I suggested Fridays and Saturdays and thought I'd offer up another potential meeting place. No point in fighting for time on already crowded consoles when my Wii's gathering dust at home.

I understand, and assumed, a lot of people would have worked their schedules around A&C's, but still wanted to fish for other gamers in my area interested in Friday/Saturday gaming first.

Otherwise, might be I could come by a Thursday evening here or there, but it won't be often unfortunately.
I live fairly close dufferin and eglinton. I went to high school at eglinton and avenue lol

Going to fests is your best bet. There's a & c on thursdays, a couple of us at uoft/downtown play occasionally, plus smashfests at kirbykaze's/idea's.
Or you could probably host your own if you got a couple tv's. I'm close so I'd possibly come

So, let me know if there is a regular get-together where we could train. I would be happy to host as well. I live in the Avenue Road and St. Clair area. (Oh, and I'm not opposed to playing with a case of beer at hand.)

Thanks.
You should come to my house. I live around Yonge & Steeles, so you can take the train most of the way.

I have Fridays & Saturdays free.

Add me on Skype or something.

Only have the one TV unfortunately, but if someone has a portable one, I could easily hook up several more. Not sure how crazy my girlfriend would be about that idea though--haha.

Let me know when you guys play at UofT, I can easily get there. Do you make threads when such an event happens?

Also, what the hell is the Facebook group called, guys?

Sounds like a plan. I work at Yonge & Sheppard so I'm most of the way there most days of the week. I usually work from home on Fridays however, but I don't mind the trek if it means Smashing.

I'll let you know the next time I'm free and hopefully it can work for you. The next two weeks are doubtful, but I could book the 28th and possibly the 29th.

jotora i live at bathurst and st clair

Yes, and I need tenderizing, so don't hold back. (Did that sound sexual?)

Anyway, what's your availability like?

And I was accepted and my intro post has already gotten responses. Awesome.

I have to say that you guys are way more responsive and enthusiastic than the Brawlers were when I first tried to get into its tourney scene about 10 months ago. Hahaha.

F-fifty word essay? Really? Your post was like 50 words lol; I'm guessing there's some sort of catch.

Edit: Diakonos, if you're going to apex does that mean Bam is driving you guys?
You'd be surprised how hard it is to give enough detail yet make it compressed at the same time. I have to fill in a criteria and within those 50 words.

Oh I know, I just recently wrote a 500 word essay and didn't know how to fit my ideas...ended up cutting out nearly the entirety of the intro and conclusion. I'm just surprised cause 50 words...seems damn impossible lol.

I think what your friend was referring to about the commas and semicolons was that people often use commas inappropriately to connect two sentences, I am doing it right now. (This is called comma splicing.)

In many cases, a semicolon would be more grammatically correct. I prefer to just use a period or an "and".

Everything revolves around brawl minus.

:phone:
Exactly.

The idea of Ness's down-B being a shine could clearly have come from nowhere else.

I mean there's nothing even vaguely like that in any smash game.

yes this is sarcasm >.>

I ordered so much **** from Le Chateau. There was a sale going on where you purchase:

$75+ = 30% discount
$100+ = 40% discount
$125+ = $50 discount

Apparently there was a bug with the online store and I could stack 40% and 50% discounts. Got so much stuff with just $200.

Also, just bought 2 Wii U's to resell if anyone is interested in purchasing one over the holidays. $335 and comes with receipt. Basic model.

Yeah, I linked her the box clip so the race could be more interesting :p

Also, oh my goodness, the guys in her chat trying to tell her how to beat Bowser are completely ********.

I watched about 14 hours of that I think... lol.

I feel bad for you. I came in around the 13 hour mark. Then I left 10 mins later

I... I had to watch, it was Paper Mario. I came in around the 3 hour mark, or whenever they just entered Tubba Blubba's castle, and I didn't stop watching until the end... :(

Starting to get the hang of this whole Wave Dashing thing... *cough*

Always knew how to do it but never incorporated it into my game back when I played Melee on a minimum weekly basis--years ago now. Same goes with DI, which I know will be the hardest thing for me to get used to. Did it in B**** before I stopped playing but it's (apparently) not as easy to do in Melee.

Anyway, I'll continue to practice until I can finally set a date with someone or go to A&C...at which point I look forward to getting my *** handed to me.

be careful not to spend too much time playing against non-level-1 computers...you can accidentally develop bad habits if you get too used to their patterns, since no one plays like a cpu. (but level 1s do almost nothing so they're good for practicing combos)

Yeah, I know, I'm being very careful about that. Thanks.

I think I'm mostly just going to stick with training mode to get used to making WD/WLing second-nature, and work on some basic WD/WL->[attack] stuff.

Heck, even my L-cancelling could use some work. Back in the day, I used to be able to nail it 99.9999% of the time. I mess up way too often now. A lot of that has to do with being rusty but I'm also trying transition to the Z button for it. It's going well though--I just need more (combat) practice.

Loving it; love this feeling. I reveled in it back then.. I had a blast learning this game and now I get to do it all over again, plus learn more than I ever did. It can be frustrating sometimes, of course, when you can't do the things you used to, but I'm having more fun than anything.

And level 3s or 4s or something to practice CGs, right?
