haha i dunno, i don't play any characters that chaingrab. but same idea...it can be useful to practice on different computer levels so you get variable DI...but it's still easy to set up bad patterns by accident, so for someone still learning advanced techniques that's probably better to save for later.

Who do you main by the way? Another spacers player? :p

:phone:
Nope. See my little icons? Ganondorf.

He was my best when I was at my best. When I picked up Melee again after however many years, I've had the most fun playing Ganondorf again, probably because they absolutely killed him in B****.

At the same time, I caught a lot of Kage footage when I started watching YouTube vids again and that's just straight up inspiring--hahaha.
Nintendo just perplexes me on so many levels. I don't even get the point of buying this, isn't the wii like 50$ yet?

I mean with component cables only and no online I could use it for smash but...no backwards compatibility? And why Canada?
Yeah, I heard about this a while back. Sounds stupid to me, but who knows. Maybe there are parts of Canada the Wii never pentetrated significantly and they think this might do better.

Does anybody have a spare parts controller that I can buy a stick off of for a buck or something at the next monthly?

My analog stick is all...erased and torn and the rubber spins putting the tear in the worst possible spots. Really just need the stick cause my controller is still pretty good. Basically if someone just has a ****ty broken first party controller.

Worst case scenario I might be willing to buy a good controller for a reasonable price and decide if it's better than mine or to switch the sticks.

Yay another Ganondorf!!!

You should hit up the Ganon boards, http://www.smashboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=110

There's tons of useful info and also a lot of great, extremely relevant discussion going on there.
Ah, yes. Thanks for reminding me.
IIRC the Wii Mini has no GC compatiblity, so no smash.
This.

Might've been worth considering as a portable Smash machine; something to take up to the cottage for a weekend or for tournaments or something.

I got both the blue house skip and early toy train today! Kay, I'm ready to take the world record.

The guy who discovered the blue house skip was a fan of mine lol. So now we're trying to route the game with that skip since no one else is trying it due to it being too hard.

smash tomorrow?
Some other plans fell through for me today, so I could probably find some time today to Smash if people are free.

Just tell me where and when. Alternatively, my apartment is available if people are willing to come by. 7 Edmund Avenue (it's an apartment building; I'll PM you the suite number if you're planning to come).

Hehe awesome. =) Don't be afraid to ask questions, I will try to help if i can.
Awesome. Thanks a lot!

Sorry for not responding right away. I was cleaning.

I can be ready for you at 2pm, if you're still free (my girlfriend and I are just doing some intense cleaning right now). I live at 7 Edmund Avenue. Edmund is on Avenue Road just a couple lights south of St. Clair Avenue.

I only have one Wavebird and one wired controller unfortunately. But, grab your controller and come on by.

Oh, and feel free to bring drinks if you want. The only thing we have to offer is water, beer, and wine; we don't drink soda or juice or anything.

Oh, I should also mention that we have a cat...

He's shy and doesn't shed much so unless you're extremely allergic, you should be fine.

I'd be interested in coming as well
Haha. Yeah sure.

But, I should reiterate: I only have the one TV and Wii.

But still, come by; I want to meet people in the Smash community. And note that, in the future, I'm happy to host a fair number of people, so long as one or more of you can bring another TV and console. Just don't want people sitting around bored, is all.
