Man, the best part about that was it was only me and Imadh. Sauga's smash scene must be looked down on pretty bad when 2 people = city's scene. Not that I'm insulted by that, I think it's true.


Sauga's smash scene is pretty really depressing. Once the city of so much promising talent is now a desert of inactive players roflll.

nahh...didn't more people come with you? or did others just happen to come at the same time? i think desh showed up with a few other people...i just remember several people coming in with you. maybe i thought imadh was several people.

Do you guys remember animenia on ytv? It was like a full 24 hours of anime, but they stopped doing it 2 years ago, I wish they could bring it back. That gundam opening reminded me of it. They used to play the gundam episodes and movies at night.

sooo i just downloaded 36 gigs of naruto because someone recommended it to me. lol @ the UofT filesharing network.. took 1 hour altogether :)

what other anime is sick? i hate anything about flying robots that shoot ****

What a horrible anime to start off with, lol Naruto...

Go watch Code Geass, it has flying robots in it but they're far from the focus of the anime.

SFU Tri-Smash Tourney 2! (Burnaby, BC)
Date: January 3/4, 2009

It's only a month away (sorry for the late notice), and we're still looking to get more out-of-province competition (in all 3 smash games). We'll have players from WA, as well as some from AB (Superboom, FalseFalco, etc.), and maybe Quebec. Housing may be an issue, but I'm working that out with some people who have helped with this in the past (ie: NoobKing), and I'm trying to see if people can stay at the venue. Also, I have a couple spots open at my house if necessary.

Anyone here interested?

Naruto: Starts good, slowly gets very bad.

Try Deathnote and Cowboy Bebop. Most people loooooove those.

yup, trigun is coming up soon. there was a thread here a while back about animes for people who don't generally like anime/can't tell what the actually good, serious ones are, so i looked through those and picked out a few. the ones with a distinct style especially appealed to me, like cowboy bebop, and especially since that's the first one anyone mentions when you think of anime. trigun sounded similarly good.

my cousin recommended deathnote so i got the first 3 episodes...the entirety of cowboy bebop is almost done downloading...

haven't actually seen gundam wing in a long time. when i did i was much younger and i did NOT understand it...soon i will borrow a large amount of it from a friend.

i also just finished downloading serial experiments lain...don't know much about that one but it sounded good, and the theme is in isai's youtube favourites <_<

in other news: see you guys tomorrow :bee:

Serial experiments lain is awesome, but I warn you that it is THE single most confusing anime ever, you will have no real ****ing clue at all whats going on. Enjoy.

that's okay, i really like 2001 a space odyssey, and media do not get much more confusing than that. (haven't read the book which actually explains it)

what was i gonna say?

well, i forget, but i remember something i was gonna add into my other post - i also wanna start watching afro samurai at some point. that show looks really cool. and while watching the tv that constantly runs ads in my rogers video store today, i saw one for an afro samurai video game. ?! there's also a new sonic one that looks pretty cool.

you could compress the universe so that you end up right next to me.

or you could get to the subway and go to victoria park station, take the 67 pharmacy bus north, get off at florens. then walk right (east) and turn left (north) at the first street, and walk a few houses up on the left side to get to mine. you should be familiar enough with the area by now anyway. (house number is 58)

eh...i'd rather you were late than early. i'm not gonna be up before i absolutely have to, so i won't even be done showering and whatnot till right at 1:00 =P so don't worry about being exactly on time, don't leave TOO early. no one else will be there on time anyway.
