^Makes AD's job wayyyy easier. Just farm/push with bloodboil and harass anyone who gets ice cubed :-p But yeah, it makes the lane super reliant on AD's skill.

Being reliant on your AD sounds more related to pretty much any support you go. I mean, isn't that why they're called supports to begin with?
Some just seem more reliant than others, really. Or more prone to failure, I don't really know. :applejack:

Like, with Nunu it's harder to cover for my ADs mistakes, Sona, Blitz, Lulu, Leona, I feel like I am doing more to help while being less reliant on my AD than Nunu.

I don't know what you're talking about, you don't use iceball as a harass tool but rather as an escape tool. Just let your adc farm freely and avoid harass via the movement speed buff from blood boil. At higher level nunu support is by far the best. His iceball and ult should easily net your lane a kill at lvl 6, so just avoid scrimmages til lvl 5-6 and let your adc harass them til then.

That would be one thing I did wrong, used icefall for harass.

But best support? I never got that impression, maybe with characters the abuse the AS boost the most?

I still use Taric as my failsafe support. I just don't see a situation where Taric is ever bad (at least not in lane)
Speaking of Nunu, I played with Raz and he had to go top lane against a Nunu that started with 45 AP, it was pretty disgusting :x

Nunu gives your carry probably the most useful overall steroid, with a long duration and basically permanently up if you have CDR. He sustains himself, isn't a squishy little **** like Sona, frankly the only downside is that he doesn't have hard CC. Which, thank god he doesn't lol. And the way BB + Ice Ball work together, some situations it's about the same thing as a Taric stun. They ain't gettin away.

With all that utility and sustain, etc (plus base dmg on ult I guess), he can also focus his entire build on the other members of his team, so long as he can work a little CDR in there.

Nunu doesn't need items.

I almost vomited.

I walked into lane as Vlad, got hit by an Iceball that did a 3rd of my health, then looked at his 45 AP at level 1 and more or less crapped myself.

Hm, shoulda thought of that since Sivir's my favorite AD. It's still doable though, Taric's AD partner will have spells that can bait her shield, or spells they can use freely once she used her shield.
Is the standard support build now that HoG is gone something like Philo - Sightstone - Aegis?

K so you are Taric laned against a sivir. Never try to stun her. Just give your AD that juicy Armor buff and fatty heals and if you need to engage then use your stun on the support. If you REALLY NEED TO stun Sivir tho, just like Asidoh said you just have a lane partner with CC or try to coordinate using spells at the same time in the case of like Ezreal Q/W. Good players jump on the fact that sivir is 500 range and Spell shield has a 20+ second CD at level 1. Taric/Nunu can get off multiple stuns/ice balls respectively before her CD comes back up.

Imo Sivir better against Nunu than Taric...

Isn't Nunu's problem the fact he can't heal his AD carry when it comes to Taric and Sona?
Though I guess giving them the BB while they have lifesteal kinda counts as long as they harass the enemy support and AD carry they'll be healing everything.

You like that 1:1 ratio? :awesome:

Also question, who beats graves in lane or what tactics work? I always struggle against him and not just when I play Ashe.

Don't trade with him when he already has his passive stacked up if you can avoid it. Ideally you let him push the lane / use up his mana and then force the creep wave to move towards your tri brush (if you're blue team; or you get ****ed if you're purple team) and freeze it there. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo easy to freeze a lane in that nook between tower and tribrush and the enemy can't do ANYTHING about it (you're outside turret range for creeps but the enemy can't come into your range without being vulnerable.

I say this purely because I'm pretty sure I'm never not blue side when I play AD for some reason.

Range ADs like MF kinda just... gets more bang for her buck. Caitlyn can free farm under tower. Honestly, I play Ashe against graves when I'm on purple side because I know I can match CS usually because of that 600 range (movement speed quints in this mu though)

I felt like losing ELO so I duo'd with someone and lost twice in a row.
Then I got a brilliant idea.... play nothing but ranked.
So reckless, yet ingenious. Time to be dropped down to an ELO I don't belong in

You yourself say that you don't care about winning, and you outright just said that you just want to be reckless in your play.

Sounds reflective of the ELO you belong in, to be honest. :applejack:

I'm having more fun in normals for now. Every game I've played in so far, both teams seem pretty relaxed and the entire game is just a cluster**** of people wandering around killing each other. It makes games take too long, but whatever at least it's fun @_@
But yeah, haven't seen a real rager in a long time.

I like normals for the silly crap that can be done in there. Like jungle Lulu or attack damage LeBlanc.
Granted that you can get away with anything at anytime in League, it happens so much more often in normals because people don't adapt fast enough. It's hilarious. :applejack:

Cait + Nunu is probably my favorite lane as a bot (regardless of which I am). When a Nunu throws out an Icecube, I generally harass the balls out of people until they try to advance towards me. It's kite mode on steroids w/ the MS and AS buff + insanely good slow from the cube. On top of that, if Nunu get harassed when initiating the cube, consume offsets the dmg from most lanes completely. Cait's also insanely good if you're able to build heavy dmg earlier game, as the last rank of bloodboil is equivalent to a S2 phantom dancer =p

You have to keep up a percentage to keep your ribbon, hence why a lot of people who just sucked people off to get ribbons later lost them.

Draven/Taric :troll:

I like MF/Sona too, but I don't get to do it often. Ashe/Raka is peaceful, and I like that too.

People hate Ez for a reason

There was also a short period of time recently where his Q was critting occasionally regardless of crit chance. Good luck with that bull.

People start to hate any character if they're played often enough and/or are strong for long periods of time.

Has anyone gotten tired of seeing AP Yi just because of Alex Ich making him FotM?

That, Ezreal and Lulu seem to be in every game I've played this past week
