Yeah, people just need to lay off. I'm over this hate, too, it's getting old. I don't remember the Smash community being this bad before, but it's getting worse. Speculating is a different story; that's fine and there's nothing wrong with that, because we all do it and there's no reason people should be scolding you two for it. The only reason why they're acting like this is because their character seems very likely. For all we know, Brave could be ****ing Stanley the Bugman. I'd stay away from them and just stay here at headquarters.

You know, all of this talk you mentioned reminds me of that tweet. I think you know which one I'm talking about.

It's most likely because there's less character support threads than ever before, with most fanbases defeated by Spirits, Assist Trophies, or just giving up on their favorites. For fans who aren't rooting for anything, there isn't much else to do besides hate.

This is basically where I've been for a while. I could accept or tolerate almost any other commonly speculated or talked about character for Smash. Steve though I find to be incredibly unappealing.

I'm on the "I want something proven wrong about any of the leaks so we're allowed to speculate about more than four characters again" train. That's what kills me. There's a hard freeze on speculation that isn't Erdrick, Ryu, Steve, and Doomguy and it's going to be awful if this is all the community is willing to seriously talk about until E3.

Erdrick is one thing, but anyone who seriously believes Ryu, Steve, and Doomguy are next this early on are crazy. We only just got the datamined info regarding Brave, and to my knowledge, there has been no evidence to support the later 3 at all or any info hinting at the next characters in the game code. That, and Polar's NOA source made it very clear no one knew who the DLC characters were and only that a Square rep is on the way.

It's because the person who claimed Katalina was undergoing negotiations ended up stating that those negotiations were not for Smash.

I think anybody not really knowing anything is the fun part about speculation because our imagines can run wild until everything is set in stone.

First one was an otter eating a fish, comparing it to Nintendo fans waiting for a direct.

Second one was a picture of a bunch of his stuffed otters which said "My fiancee and I are Otter weirdos, sometimes you just gotta talk about otters without there being hints."

This is exactly what speculation should be instead of people ****ing on other people's ideas and wants

And yeah I am onto Barrel Volcano in my SMRPG playthrough :D

Jon from Gamexplain posts pictures of otters when a Direct is coming very soon. Possibly Thursday. However, I'm not so sure now that Jon tweeted again saying that it isn't always a hint and he just loves otters.

Mp4 would be amazing, but also just the reveal of the se character.

If it’s geno, YES!!!! If it’s not, please just announce it already so we can move on and hope for smash 6, instead of being stuck in limbo not knowing.

DLC Character Pack 2 tease with tentative release date for March or April.
