Just make your own routine and use things that you need to practice. Routines can be more helpful than just practicing things alone, it helps you with transitions from one tech to the other, which people tend to forget are important, or they don't even think about it. Don't just do one routine, switch it up to practice all the different transitions.

**** helps imo. Everything gets like... slower. Everything's more deliberate. Except for the falcon punches.

I try to sacred combo and SD because I'm laughing too hard :[

i dont practice alone anymore, but in the middle of stocks i just shffl -> instant run repeatedly or shffl in place w/ different moves in a fast smooth way.

other than that, if you're looking for a fundamental tool to practice, practice fox trotting because its so good.

vids plzzz
No cap card, just try it. ****'s pretty easy. And it makes scrubs go like :O if you chain it with a bair to edge guard

On an unrelated note, can anyone tell me why it's ok for Falco to Waveshine to shield pressure but not Fox? At least I think it's ok, I've seen a lot of Falco's do it.. I mean, no more than 2 shines, but still.

if a Fox/Falco is CC'ing, do they become waveshineable? Stupid question, I know, I just don't get a lot of practice against space animals :<

Could anyone critique my matches from a recent tournament set?? Nothing too fancy, just a couple of things to work on would help! Replicate advise me!

you have a habit of full hopping out of shield
too little wd oos, specifically on lasers and falco pressure
poor recovery choices; you shouldn't recover so close to the map
practice tech skill
your nair usage was good but you should nair marth/falco less at low % due to ccs. use dair, grab, or shine approach instead
space your aerials better, you had a lot of whiffed shines. either space better or stop shining when it will not hit the shield
your shield pressure was pretty weak, you should do something else because your nair shines are very risky
less tech straight up
ledgeguard marf better, keep your invincibility frames and be patient
also you seemed to get confused at times and just sit in your shield. I have this habit too, I've learned to spot dodge out of this situation off of reaction speed when I see them come to grab me. Not exactly the best way to address the problem but it helps

@iamthemicrowave.

Couple things:

-WD oos when you get fsmashed.
-When marth is above you it is an amazing thing. He was above you several times and you just let him land. Bair him off the stage.
-You should grab more as an approach (when he lags of course).
-When you uthrow uair, work on the timing of your jump so that it is at the earliest possible time after the throw finishes. You would uthrow -> wait -> jump and uair.
-When he's right above you and you jump up (the times you did hit him), you used nair. Bair has more knockback and good people use it instead of nair.

Match 2
-Grab. When you grab, always think how to get him off the stage.
-You pretty much ran away the entire match even when you were behind. But he stupidly approached like falcos do so it worked out for you.
-lol you tried to laser a falco.
-you should work on your tech chasing more. You react to his rolls late, and if he just sits on the ground before rolling, jab reset him.

3 (why would he go marth when he just beat you with falco, when you're going to marth's worse stage? Lucky you. Oh I guess it worked out. He probably doesn't like small stages sso next time you play him to FoD or yoshis if you don't have a favorite counter pick.)
-If he side b's -- CC grab!
-He would run at you and you would full hop and try to bait him. Don't get nervous when he runs at you.
-Use platforms. Camp, run away, laser, get him really pissed, and then punish his attempts at approaching
-Marth does not have many safe approaches (sh late fair is safe but not much besides that). Things he did like sh nair are punishable with a nair or a grab.
-If he tries to do the stupid run in dtilt, CC it.

You're pretty good and you look like you know the match up in general (the marth-fox at least; idk about the falco one). Definitely try and use platforms to your advantage, it kind of seemed like every match was being played on FD by both of you guys.

you just have to time it, and you'll have to practice.

its around the "bing" sound, actually slightly later i believe. if you really can't get it, you can spam b and you'll have it happen.

I have this weird habit of Wavedashing straight down after a shine, be it after an aerial, during shield pressure, or just a random shine. I really only play with a few people, none of which are anywhere near as good as me, so when I start going to tourneys and getting my *** kicked, am I gonna get punished for this?

falco's illusion starts up faster than fox's (so much for his "bad recovery"). Anyways, a lot of lower level players tend to shorten falco's illusion by accident because they press B too many times.

Ive got a question.. i dont have melee yet but im about to get it again but i do have brawl and i was wondering what character in melee involves you having fast fingers? I know that prob didnt make sence but what character is in the game that the player has to have super fast fingers to use? Im thinking fox but im not sure if there are other character in the game that involves the player having to have very fast fingers.

Idk why but when i play a game i have to be going super fast with my fingers or else i dont do well. My fingers have constantly got to be moving. So is fox this character or do you think another character is actually faster?? Remember.. they have to be fast in melee and brawl so falco is out seeing as how he really isnt that fast anymore.

Thanks for your time and i look forward to a reply :)
