wut other docs do pretty well in tourney
/link vids plz
i never see tourney videos of you guys, maybe cuz im lazy
I don't know but not me. I'm working on it. ;p lol.
it's more about who you beat rather than just winning
teams is extremely entertaining but there's a different set of skills needed for teams and singles
Well I would like to know what skills REALLY are needed for teams because teams are very interesting to me. SRS
Teams suck.
Doc's decent as long as he got some room to actually move around on the ground. I feel since that's one of Doc's stronger areas in teams. But he doesn't control space very well otherwise, especially vertically because he doesn't jump that quick or high. And his aerials ain't all that either.
Oh yea, Doc is a nice edgeguarder of course.
Agreed....
Just imagine the recognition I'll get for beating Hbox then.
*more sarcastic/animated laughter*
Some of you guys in here are better than me I'm sure. Or at least on some aspects of Doc, whether it be spacing, comboing (*looks at Shroomed*), edgeguarding (*looks at Dogy*) , tournament experience, match up experience, money, Up-B canceling (*looks at SmashMac*), whatever. How about one of y'all beat these stupid Ganondorf players. I've been waiting forever to see a Doc player beat Ganon. I'm kinda failing at mission: takedown RockCrock...
: [ I love teams. I mean, I'm not the best TEAMS person because of my char... but **** that.
Like, I was just thinking "hey, teams isn't about TWO 1v1's in the same stage, wtf"
Teams can be like pokemon. You are in a **** team, use your team mate to your advantage. *sacrifice* nah jk.
I mean, if doc is good at edgeguarding, and marth would do better to get OFF EDGEGUARDING and switch places with doc so doc can do the job he CAN do with his ph.D. I mean, if I have to fight a fox, and a falco is coming back, I'd want my team mate (a marth/fox) to come over and switch with me so I can gimp falco real quick and then go back and help marth till falco comes back and then we'd re-asssssemmmbbbulll from there.
What do you think? My friend Vorosh told me that seems viable, but that it wouldn't work since you have to change the pace of your momentum to switch "Oh well I'm not edgeguarding... so what do I AAAAHHH* *withdrawal syndrome* I don't know.
But yeah, teams can be like POKEMON. : D You are probably wondering how I came up with this? : ] I'll explain in a bit.
I think I just found a way to beat RockCrock now. I got a smashfest coming up tomorrow. I found some new stuff I gotta tryout. If it works, I should do really good.
And yeah, Shroomed IS hogging the camera.
Shroomed = Camera Hog
Hmmm, maybe us docs should lrn2camerasetup. I don't have a setup or nothing, but I should invest in one. : ]
and matchup wise, I'm not so good against Ganon yet. Nor Falco. I'm better at Fox and Marth though. : ]
not specifically, but you live in the most recorded region so you get looked at the most.
DONT **** UP LOLOL.
I like how we talked bout this last night and you still came off with that.
*points up to the rest*
I mean, ****, I'm sorry everybody's not like cali, so they have to wait every 3 months for a "big tourney to happen" so people care about it.
It's weird how that logic effects everything all the way down to "who's playing the game" in this community. I was talking to OTG last night and he wanted to throw that Ranking Project in my face like that means something. "Shroomed makes up 99% of the Doc info on the ranking chart." Yeah, because when I went to report the stuff that I won, "Oh, there aren't any threads for it on smashboards, therefore I can't use it."
That's how this community works.
It's not even a thread, if you don't wind up in video, you don't exist. Cause Tang can be the greatest team player ever and people are fine with that. Nobody else can be that kind of player. Hmmmmm?
Hmmm, maybe you should invest in a setup as well.
I know you are good, and OTG as well. I have been trying to go by what you and Otg said... like seeing what my opponent is doing, and not just doing my own thing, you know?
I am also trying to play on the safer side... Or I mean, the not risky carefree side. Me nairing as an approach? GOOD BYE. It's so badddd... I'd rather just nair defensively.
Also, I have been lazy with my tech. I practiced from 1 am to 3 am yesterday for just tech, and then some more this morning, and then I played Paper Mario.
And me shield grabbing? Man why didn't I see it earlier. I jab and always try to shield grab. Good thing I practiced OTHER options yesterday. :3
one more thing, it seems I get hit alot by falcos side smash. Sometimes I block and shield grab, but sometimes I just randomly try to side step it but then side step too early and get hit. : [ Yeah I gotta stop that. And I wish I could use side step more effeciently.
so guys, may I ask what you do with upair and utilt?
I mean, it seems I haven't been using those as much as my other moves, but I just haven't SEEN the situations to use them in.. I'm sure I could utilt near the edge since it doesn't always send the opponent up... (Mario's probably think our utilt is bad cuz of that, eh?) and then I realized I might be able to pull out utilt uair utilt... but that may be if the opponent didn't tech... I'll practice this with friends this weekend. : ]
