Well I think Cyphus still plays, and Dogysamich just won in teams without losing a set. I saw a thread a few weeks back where Cyphus got third out of I forgot how many people. It's just none of 'em get recorded as much as some of the other Docs.

But eh, forget all that, OTG is basically shouting out Shroomed to be the current "best Doc".
But I bet I'LL be the first Doc to force Hungrybox to lose a tournament set, so HAHAHAA!

Teams suck.
Doc's decent as long as he got some room to actually move around on the ground. I feel since that's one of Doc's stronger areas in teams. But he doesn't control space very well otherwise, especially vertically because he doesn't jump that quick or high. And his aerials ain't all that either.
Oh yea, Doc is a nice edgeguarder of course.

I mean, ****, I'm sorry everybody's not like cali, so they have to wait every 3 months for a "big tourney to happen" so people care about it.

It's weird how that logic effects everything all the way down to "who's playing the game" in this community. I was talking to OTG last night and he wanted to throw that Ranking Project in my face like that means something. "Shroomed makes up 99% of the Doc info on the ranking chart." Yeah, because when I went to report the stuff that I won, "Oh, there aren't any threads for it on smashboards, therefore I can't use it."

That's how this community works.

It's not even a thread, if you don't wind up in video, you don't exist. Cause Tang can be the greatest team player ever and people are fine with that. Nobody else can be that kind of player. Hmmmmm?

Teams can be like pokemon. You are in a **** team, use your team mate to your advantage. *sacrifice* nah jk.

I mean, if doc is good at edgeguarding, and marth would do better to get OFF EDGEGUARDING and switch places with doc so doc can do the job he CAN do with his ph.D. I mean, if I have to fight a fox, and a falco is coming back, I'd want my team mate (a marth/fox) to come over and switch with me so I can gimp falco real quick and then go back and help marth till falco comes back and then we'd re-asssssemmmbbbulll from there.

What do you think? My friend Vorosh told me that seems viable, but that it wouldn't work since you have to change the pace of your momentum to switch "Oh well I'm not edgeguarding... so what do I AAAAHHH* *withdrawal syndrome* I don't know.

I know you are good, and OTG as well. I have been trying to go by what you and Otg said... like seeing what my opponent is doing, and not just doing my own thing, you know?

I am also trying to play on the safer side... Or I mean, the not risky carefree side. Me nairing as an approach? GOOD BYE. It's so badddd... I'd rather just nair defensively.

Also, I have been lazy with my tech. I practiced from 1 am to 3 am yesterday for just tech, and then some more this morning, and then I played Paper Mario.

And me shield grabbing? Man why didn't I see it earlier. I jab and always try to shield grab. Good thing I practiced OTHER options yesterday. :3

I mean, it seems I haven't been using those as much as my other moves, but I just haven't SEEN the situations to use them in.. I'm sure I could utilt near the edge since it doesn't always send the opponent up... (Mario's probably think our utilt is bad cuz of that, eh?) and then I realized I might be able to pull out utilt uair utilt... but that may be if the opponent didn't tech... I'll practice this with friends this weekend. : ]

edit: For the large scale tournaments that Docs have been at, it seems that Shroomed (and Waffles I guess but he plays Falco now or something) making bracket at Pound 4 is the most successful placement Doc has had. Did you and SmashMac make it into bracket at APEX?

I guess the trouble is that some people like Cyphus are apparently ridiculous but they don't travel?

Well, everyone already knows about Shroomed and HMW making it out of pools at Pound 4.

I heard Boss came extremely close to making it out of pools at Pound 4. I think he missed by one point.

SmashMac made it out of pools at APEX.

EDIT: I don't think Dogy entered the tournament at APEX. He just did the commentary. Shoutouts to Dogy on entertaining commentary.

Lately I like being black doc alot more I dunno why... Maybe because Dogy makes it look good so I like, just want to uthrow all day but it's so sexy being black doc I have discovered.

I'd try to get my own matches (and my crewmates's matches) recorded but I don't even have the money for that yet.

It's probably because the smash community may be either young people who wish they were responsible and had a job to be able to juggle this, or... I don't know. lol.


I don't know about you OTG but I still have fun with him... I actually have fun with doc, falcon, ice climbers, falco, and sheik. Ok not sheik but if I had to like... somehow just take up a back up that COULD be viable I'd use her but she isn't as like... easy to move around with doc.

Like I like wavelanding as doc!

But I'm a slow learner and I have to put in alot of work to improve and I am. : ]

I've used utilt so much. It's amazing for it's usage as a chain in between combos.

I've noticed the utilt has about the same priority, if not the exact same as Marth's fsmash. There seems to be almost no hit-lag after they cancel each other out for Doc but Marth seems more susceptible. I'd imagine taking advantage of that with a WD into grab (for example, utilt a suspected Marth's fsmash, then quickly WD into whatever). I haven't tried it out to make sure it always works but it seems like something that should be looked into.

Uair's uses are obvious with Doc. Juggling, uair into situational smash attack, uair into grab, uair into feint jump ... read opponents DJ ... then DJ and fair them (or situational aerial move of choice). Uair is too situational to name all of it's uses in my opinion.

WELL WAIT WHAT, HOW DOES SHROOMED OR REALLY ANY DOC FALL INTO THE CATEGORY OF "the doc doing anything" THEN?

By that definition, that means SMASHMAC has to be the only doc doing anything since he made brakets at apex.

If me winning stuff in my state doesn't mean anything, why does shroomed winning stuff in his region does? It's literally THE SAME CONCEPT, the only difference is he lives in a bigger region with more big names.

And then you go as far as get out of pools? Docs are making it out of pools all the time when they go, but how often do docs go to big stuff and how many go? How often does this "big stuff" happen? Because the way it's sounding, NorCal or SoCal can call all their friends together and have a tourney worth merit, but if Hungrybox or PP doesn't show up to something here, it's irrelevant.
