I'd rather not. I'd just be wasting money on brawl, because I have the mindset that I could improve with melee and maybe the money would grant me melee expereiences. Maybe I just don't want a brawl experience, unless its free and just stupid. : D

Fox is a dumb match-up.

I played Toph in bracket at TP4, and he was talking about how Shroomed gave him all this Doc advice, among which was, apparently, to ban Brinstar.

Very weird set.
I got two-stocked on Dreamland, I went FD, two-stocked him, then he went Rainbow Cruise and I lost.

This Doc thread is doing ok. : D Thats about it. : ] Bored though, need to get more smash in. Although, I am also realizing I must grow up in a sense, as in get a license, get a car, finish school, etc. Can't do ****, or be happy without those.

When you say you're going to school for music, what are you majoring in? I've got a music education degree and I can add some insight in it if you care. >.>

I want to go for vocals and guitar, and song writing. I think. I'm not sure yet to be honest. I'm taking a year off to save up money before doing anything, so I have quite a bit of spare time -_- .

obviously like any musician ideally I'd love to perform for a living, but lol. I'll end up teaching in an elementry school.

The guide said that crouch canceling his **** works well, but I slide too far back most of the time. Yeah I had my most success with bair and uair. I'll practice more...or just use marth.

There's something better than b.airs and u.airs, it's called GROUND PILLS -glares at shroomed-.

Think about it, what's luigi's big perk? His ground mobility. Cut that out and he's not doing anything. It's so easy to cut into that and move like you want with pills. What's he gunna do, jump it? PFFT OK, he can't cover a wide range in the air.

So you keep him from moving, put him where you want, and then pick him apart however you see fit.

This was the one thing I remembered about Luigi when I had to play the one at TP4. Soooooo useful.

So I tried pretty much pilling and bairing (against the luigi) whether it be 2 in full hop or sh and I 2 stocked him twice in a row. I also tried to predict his nairs and it worked. Thanks for the help =]

I noticed that if I jabbed him twice he sometims could nair before a grab or dsmash (i was probably late) but 1 jab to dsmash worked well.

Hmmm. Ok guys, so lets say you haven't been to a tournament for a while, but you want to practice with what you can so that you can be somewhat prepared for the next one.

Are there things that I might need to practice that I might look over? Sure, I try practicing my lcancels and other things, but what is really important in daily practice? : D (Of course I know up bcancels and super wave dashes are of less prioraty, what should be my prioraties anyways? : D ) Thx in adv.

Yes I love to practice but I wonder if I practice wrong.

I'd say besides basic l-canceling (against shields/ large medium and small people) is really all you need. Then, the only training you want is playing people in friendlies before the tourney starts...at this point, practicing against CPUs will only hurt you.

EDIT:Maybe practicing doing things after the l-cancel, or doing things as quick as possible out of throws...

@shroomed: I don't think at all when I play. It's why I think alot outside of the game, and hope I remember it sometimes when I play >_> For example, remembering to not techroll in one direction. It's something I know I shouldn't do, but still happened. (However, playing SSB cured me of that--getting techchased to death for rolling the same way is quite an eye opener). And in my opinion, the root of that problem is that I spend too much time doing the same thing in practice--I realized that I play smarter when I don't spend my time practicing more than just really basic things.

Only recently I've been able to actually keep it from making me over-think matches and choke.
