On my 5th 4 Loko and still ****** you.
Hey Dogy, when I saw your matches at Aurburn you didn't use Nair, like, at all. Is it really that bad?
Nair is good as an anti-air and it's cool when your opponent misses a tech after one for a free dsmash. Besides that, it's about bair.

@shroomed, no hate, I'm just not a fan of your guys styles. I think it's the Tri-state in me, I see you never throw pills and you nair-plane like its Fox, and well... that **** just don't work (at least not around here).

/im done ranting

It's not bad at all, honestly. It's about how you use it.

I tend to think of n.air as wanting to jump over/past somebody and keep them from jumping out, seeing as you're going to hit high on their shield if they're there, so you can't REALLY continue pressure (or they shouldn't let you)

Not bad by any stretch, just more of a player-by-player kinda thing.

Yea I was referring to Teczero, VaNz, R3no and Alukard. You know, the celebrities?

None of them actually main Sheik though.

You should play Plank and Tope down here in MD/VA.

Plank tried to con me into a money match too! He even gave me ten to one odds.

I wasn't fooled.

Silly Sheik players always out to get that payday.

ShizWiz?! That guy is too good. He commentates his on matches just like Mang0. And he does the whole "Imma staircase these lasers down the platforms while you're tryin' to recover". Sucks if you're in hitstun since you won't even have time to cape them away.

you could cape after you get hit by the first one if you have that much stun, or if they wanna try to shoot OVER you so you can't jump, you just tornado into the laser so it gives you a height boost.

wooooooooah black betty! AMBER LAMPS!

not really, no. Not unless shiz went all lambchops'ie while in his smash retirement home. XD

imo, there's a reason why shiz picked up fox as a secondary and chops plays straight falco. It's got to do with the laser game + willingness to do it.

I was almost sure he picked Fox so he wouldn't get gimped as easily by that ridiculous HungryBox. Or at least that would've been a big part of the reason. *shrugs*

BTW, everyone in here should read Dogy's matchup thread. It's extremely helpful. I've picked up on so much that I hadn't thought of before. and I've only read through about 5 matchups so far.

he picked up fox years ago before hbox was really on FL's map.

Back when alot of falco players started 2ndarying fox. I tend to believe it's because they can't/don't like to play the jiggs/peach/samus matchup like they need to. Well, mostly jiggs/samus. Peach/Falco, from what I know/have-been-told isn't SO MUCH about the lasers as it is just not being next to the ****.

.. Well I guess that kinda does/really does apply to all 3 of them, but whatever. Needless to say, those are 3 characters that, by default, you can't run straight into. That's a losing fight/war.

Not unless you find one who doesn't know their matchup/sucks.

fear/respect the slash.

Wait ... I know this is the wrong place to discuss it, but what exactly is suboptimal about Sheik's dthrow ftilt on Marth? Can't you follow the ftilt up 90% of the time?
On DI away she can CG Marth to like 40 or something, I don't know how high but around that. Additionally, at about 35ish you can comfortably switch to Dash Attack on DI away and hit the Fair or possibly Uair --> follow (DI dependent).

On other DIs, she can U-tilt --> another move, and possibly follow. That also assumes they DI the U-tilt away, really far, and don't DI it up (which people often do). That also operates under the assumption that there are no platforms because she can do the platform waveland --> regrab on Marth kind of easily, and also react with FJ Uairs or cover 3/4 tech options with Dair depending on where you throw them under the platform.

On non-DI away she can also just FJ rising Uair at some percentage and get a bunch more stuff.

F-tilt blows. There's just better stuff. Sometimes it's good near the edge and other random stuff but 90% of the time there's better stuff.

Learning something every day is fuuuuun

On DI away she can CG Marth to like 40 or something
On DI away, can you link a SH mid height Fair FF grab? I've done that quite often and it seems to work, but I don't think it's a "true" combo thing, people just get Fair'd out of their jump or don't jump after the Fair so I can grab.
Just curious what that's all about.
Nair works for me too actually...
This is from 0%>25% ish btw

I'm too lazy to log out, you know who this is, nurgle, bidoof, etc.

SH FF Fair regrab might work if they're not wanting to double jump back, which is common, I get it a lot, sometimes after U-tilt if they DI away but it's better to CG if you can. CG is completely 100% pure bacon and will always work so just do it, it's better.

CGing is always the best combo option because it will usually present you the same options you had before plus they've taken extra damage.

K cool thanks. I pretty much just wanted confirmation that it actually works/makes a bit of sense/nothing stupid is going on and that it was them not jumping.

Yeah, I've slowly been grabbing more and more it seems, eventually I'll have no more moves and just grab. LOL don't need anything else anyway.

if we suck at chingrabbing, what are some good moves out of grab?
against most characters (normal fallers) i've had success with dthrow->fsmash, or dthrow->dsmash. am i just getting lucky?
