Do you use L or R for dodging?

I use only X. Makes it quite hard to get back into Melee mode.

I use the L trigger for dodges and rolls because my right index finger is always on the Z bumper for Samus's sweet Zair.

I have L set to attack so I can still use my forward smash with items in my hands when I play as Diddy.

And I grab with Y. (When I'm not shield grabbing)

I used to use R, then I switched it to Y. Far better guarding, dodging and powershielding reflexes when done with the thumb and not dealing with the issue of the missing analog shoulder button application.

When I found the word "L-Canceling" I thought "What is this L you speak of?"
The thing is... I hold onto the remote with my right hand, and hold the joystick with the first three fingers of my left hand. Done it since Smash 64. As you can see, using L would be a bit of a stretch...

It's a technique used in Melee that helps in spacing/combos. You can't do it in Brawl though.

I use both, it depends on the direction I'm going when I use it. It's a bit wierd, I didn't even notice until I set my L button to Attack or whatever so I could boost smash. So yeah.

I USE to use R. But Because I play a lot of Link/Snake I made R attack so I can DAC/bombslide/bombsmash with ease.

I now use L for all dodge aspects

I'm pretty messed up though.....I even use X for special to take advantage of the buffer system.........
