If people are interested in a SA tournament you should know that pik a nik 2 is a 5$ tournament with a teams event that is 5$ per person, so the entry fee is half. But as for nikefest 3, that one is a normal tournament with a side event, so if you're debating, chose nikefest 3.

I'm afraid to get marvel vs capcom 3 because what if 2 months later they release a super marvel vs capcom 3? Also no Bison or Juri make me a sad girl. Still I'd like to go Wesker/Storm/ The female Wolverine they look cool. I'm going to wait for a tier list though because I'm not playing a game when my mains are a bunch of jobbers like in Brawl.

not a real one. This game store just posted that they were having one. The reason I say it's not real is because the rules are butchered. They have a 5 min timer, most banned stages, no lgl, and they have down a rule called "no glitching". I contacted them to confirm what this meant and it means no glide tossing or usage of Dacus and various other things... I'm surprised they don't have items on.

Wobbles Rule: In the event that a TV has four or more players, when a player defeats all players on said TV, they give up their controller to the most recent loser.

BYOF: Drinks and food are entirely dependent on the guests, I'm not rich, you know!! Local Restaurants include: Arby's, Wendy's, Whataburger, stuff in Ridgmar Mall, and Taco Bueno.

BYOC: Everyone is required to bring their own controllers since most other players aren't keen on loaning theirs out. This also prevents controller johns.

In my experience, people in the mindset of this TO also consider chain grabs to be glitches. Be wary :x

I didn't ask them about CGs.. I can't see CGs being a glitch tho. I mean the creators intended the characters to be throw in a certain way, you just happen to be able to grab them again.

Ugh, I was excited to hear bout a tournament; but $25 enter and reverse-juice incentives and NO teams makes me a sad panda. Even if ur like a heavy fav to win the tournament, u lose so much equity if u reach grand finals and lose.

Anybody interested in actually hosting a smash tournament vs this Deal or No Deal type structure?

Tbh I'm not going anymore because even before lots of people got interested, the turnout was expected to be like.. 8 people so the pot was going to be small and no amount of splitting will make it even for everyone of us. Basically if someone doesn't make it to GF and get first or something they waste not only 25$ but the gas for the drive and their whole day. If it was real competition however, I'd personally be interested in making it no matter what but it's just a ******** rule set and a way to lose quite a bit of money that I could instead be putting towards genesis 2 XD
