Jump tech is just a wall tech while holding up
More specifically called a walljump tech, but yes.

Just noticed spunit asked for what the specifications for wallteching were in melee. Well, I think I pretty much explained it in my last post, but basically, even if you were being hit away from the wall, you were able to smash DI into it while you were still in hitlag, which would force a wall collision and allow you to tech it before getting sent flying.

No roll or jump teching yet and I don't think I can do ledge teching in this code, it will have to be it's own code.

Currently you can jump tech a ground tech, I can easy remove it but it will add a line.

Edit: I remembered something I forgot. There supposed be a punishment window after 20 frame that you can't tech it, right?

Edit: check the wrong button for jumping. fixed

So you can tech and jump straight up from the ground? If so, i dont really like the idea. Kinda ruins techchasing a little but ill have to test it out some and see other peoples opinions.

The tech jumping I think should be removed. It seems like it might be too powerful. Anyone else thoughts?

Could someone maybe upload a video with techjumping on youtube? I'm not going to be anywhere near my Wii for quite a while. It can always be gimped.

Do we still need to have on the buffer and tech window code with this new code spunit?
The code should hopefully completely ignore the buffer. So I'd suggest going back to the one liner with 2 buffer.

Let's play around with this jump teching for a bit (considering...it's a new tech made completely by accident and we really don't know the full effects of it yet).

How much invincibility does it have? How long before the character can move?, ect.

I'm gonna try it out tomorrow, but definitely from an open-minded point of view.

It's just the animation from a walljump tech.

One more question for spunit, why can't i charge my smashes anymore is it the auto fire fix or the tech window...i need to know if anyone is experiencing this issue aswell..

Looks good, spunit. Ground, roll, ceiling, wall, and wall jump techs all seem to work.

By the way, to all who would attempt to use this code while playing against CPUs... beware. They tech virtually EVERYTHING.

Not really. You could just shield and grab and pretend it's a get up attack.
That's not how wall jump techs work dude. You do the attack immediately while still moving.

For instance, if Marth were to do this, he'd immediately fair while still moving away from you essentially making him impossible to tech chase for many characters (considering his fair not only has decent range, but it's also got a lot of shield stun in case you shield it).

Metaknight is okay right? I'm not even sure if it is possible to tap fast enough to continuously attack with him.
MKs jab doesn't fall under lighting jabs. Its a multihit jab like the end of foxs' or falcons. Personally, I would like it if this could be mashable as well. And btw, you don't need to be a machine to keep mks jab going. Its a fast move, but doesn't require any faster fingers than another mashable move
Holy crap. If a fixed tech code comes out while I'm at home without a Wii I'll cry.

The default settings mod should already be set up to be on 4 stock with an 8 minute time limit, and team attack on, which is what most people are currently using for brawl+.
Where can I find the code that has this set? :urg: The one in the OP requires the user to fill out the options

Anyone see Pit as going WAY down? He was my former main but everyone has improved so much he seems like he's struggles against everyone now and I don't feel his Up B does him any favors anymore. All ya gotta do is drop a fireball on him that's it. Perhaps He can be tweaked or something...maybe? Thoughts?

There aren't many Pit players so, if you can be more specific it'd be awesome. I'm pretty sure the team will apply your suggestions to the test if you give what's needed to be done in detail.

I main pit, but play his rarely atm but I can assure you that he is fine. The only thing I think he should get is his up b back. Wing fatigue needs to take the spot light now

I think Pit's recovery is perfect. Gliding combined with his UpB is a great recovery.

The only reason he's gimpable at all is because his UpB doesn't return.

Not a Pit main though, so eh.

That doesn't make sense. Everyone else's Up-B returns whenever they get hit, why not Pit?
