yea 50$ would be too good to have, if not I mean you could try to get by with less, but just saying cause often people get pulled to eating quite a lot especially if you're going OOS, and I mean most of the time you're hanging with other smashers and stuff right so the after tourney dinner is usually at like dennys or an actual restaurant and that's 10$ for just one meal(which is half of your food budget if you're only going with 20 dave!) I mean would you skip eating with all your pro brawlers and hang out? Not to mention other somewhat expensive places like chipotle and cali's in'n'out burger.

-Go out of state
-on a road trip with friends(grow deeper connections)
-meet new people(maybe a falco main that can teach you stuffs)
-See sights and expand past your own town or state.

Now I'm not saying your friend is lying. But any more than a 1:1 ratio (boy:girl) is skeptical (see the Suicide Bomber Paradox)
