Haha, all the actors put on a good show imo. I'm most likely going to watch it again when it's officially out.

Oh, and Ellen Wong is a total hottie. She played Knives Chau in the film, but when you see her in person... <3

i liked michael cera before michael cera was even michael cera
i dont get why he was cast in scott pilgrim (i mean, i get it) he doesn't seem like a good choice for the role at all

the movie looks like it's pandering to "me" so i'm immediately resistant, but it could be fun

michael cera is good for the awkward role of scott pilgrim except for the reasoning behind the awkwardness.

scott pilgrim is awkward b/c he's stupid, michael cera is awkward cuz he's just awkward.

saw inception yesterday.
good stuff dicaprio, you're officially redeemed for Titanic.
The movie ended pretty much perfectly. I think it will do for dreams what the matrix did for brain-in-a-jar theory.

thought the movie dragged

a bit too much hollywood

just another example that whenever everyone loves something, you have to take two points off. so if it's a 10/10 then it's realyl a 8/10, etc. and if everyone hates it yet it's artistically challenging (lol) then it's probably an 8/10 or better

I actually hated the ending. Stupid top spinning was just cliche and wasn't creative in any way.

A little bit of closure in a movie like Inception never hurt anyone ****

Spoiler Side note - People argue that Cobb was still dreaming when he saw his kids due to the incredulous nature of his kids not aging, exact same clothes, exactly as he imagined which is highly unlikely.

titanic was splendid

i thought the ending [of inception] was a cool idea but at the same time, i didn't really care whether it was real or not because of the way the rest of the movie set it up so the effect was kind of lost

^^^
exactly. I didn't care either way, but it was a nice way to end the movie because everything was tied up nicely, and you know he's gonna spin the top to make sure, so not knowing whether it stops spinning gives you something to talk about after the movie.

I thought they would end it with him dying and realizing our entire reality is just a dream lol, matrix style.

I thought he already redeemed himself with "Gangs of New York" "Catch me if you can" and the departed. The beach sucked though. whenever he's involved with water it's bad, but otherwise he does a good job

a lot of times dantefox DOES sound like a douche but i have to respect him for never giving in to the bait and replying in kind

because let's be real, it really makes us sound like the douches

+rep

edit: he also has a good point here and prob a very good reason for his opinions if you took the time to ask before jumping down his throat =P

You should see Leo in Romeo and Juliet, that's hella cheesy. Saw that in freshman English class and it was so bad. But otherwise Leo is an awesome actor, watch any of his other movies. he was great in catch me if you can.

It's hard not to be cheesy in Romeo + Juliet; that movie was ridiculous.

Leo is an amazing actor, even in Inception which felt like he was just kinda on autopilot and going through the motions. But fortunately Leo on auto-pilot is still a **** good actor.

I liked The Aviator, thought he pulled it off well.

At the time it wasn't the now-classic DiCaprio character so he was very good, but if it came out today it would be just another standard Leo performance.

I highly recommend Capturing the Friedmans! It's a documentary about a family in crisis. Arnold Friedman, father of three and school teacher, is accused of being a pedophile. The Friedmans recorded many home videos, so a lot of the documentary is actual footage from their life. The story is really strange, and all the different sides of the story are fascinating.

People are too hard on Leo these days, I think he's still just as good as ever (even though I haven't seen inception yet)... he's undeniably a great actor and already has a ton of good performances at a pretty young age. The only time I've ever seen him do a subpar job was in Blood Diamond, where he can't quite nail the Australian accent to the point of being believable.
