Also, CF shouldn't be given that win since he wasn't the main but was only used in the finals.

whole bunch of new people (I dont think he played against anyone who placed top 10 except me before) and didnt have time in friendlies to determine whether he needed snake or not :/

im not sure if it matters but it should be noted that me, blackanese, and basic sausage still fought for tournaments placements after the split, i got first, blackanese second, basic sausage third

Super Smash Brothers Brawl Tournament @ Game Galaxy (formerly known as Tilt)

So... I went to a tourney yesterday. Long story short, it got too late and we never actually finished singles. I doubt these will count, but it's worth a try I guess. Maybe we can come up with a way to add in this tournament. :ohwell:

Will_ and Nintendoboyyy made it to winner's finals while the rest were in the loser's bracket. At that time we had to close everything down. They let Will_ and Nintendoboyyy play out winner's finals and Will_ won. They played in the grand finals as well and Will_ won again. That's how we determined the placings.

Everyone that was still in the tourney got their money back except Will_ and Nintendoboyyy that played for 60% of the pot (minus $60). Second place got 25%.

I'll see if I can get an exact number of entrants. I know there were 6-7 pools with from 7-8 people a pool. My pool had 8 and I remember seeing 3 others with 8 as well, so there were at least 46 entrants that I'm sure of.

Am I the only one surprised at how well Kirby is doing in tournaments?

Sure, he hits like a Mack truck, but he's so slow in the air. If you outspace him, I can't imagine it being too hard to outpace him in damage.

The caught my eye because of Snakeee, and also, apparently 1/2 the pro bracket was maining MK... but only 3 of them made it to top 8. Do many top players hate playing MK now? He still gets a lot of people using him, but a lot of the better players don't.

Ankoku, do you use excel for this? And what is the 160 for in your division of base stats?

Also I don't think this data is completely viable because you don't take in account how many of each character, mained, was at the tournament. ie - 16 person tournament, top 8 was 8 different characters, but the bottom 8 were all the same character as #1 was.

...but I do realize it would take an incredible amount of time to figure out who mained who at what tournament. And apply accordingly.


I'm pretty good at statistics and stuff, so I'm just telling you my observations.

If more than 5-8 people used Ness in tournies he'd be higher - it doesn't really matter where they are if you know their potential and use it. I think Ness could rise a little, but does it really matter? He's basically 20-25th best in a cast of 35, and I'm okay with that.

He's boring and represents everything broken and bad in Brawl.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Brawl, but Falco is just plain LAME.

INB4: "lolz coming from a Ganon main" comments. LOL
