Ayuha used to play even after 1.0.4, but I haven't seen anything recent from him.
Adding in that last I saw of NinjaLink he played , though I was under the impression he played a good chunk of the cast?
LiquidKen was playing when I watched his smash 4 streams.
What I've seen recently of Vex was mostly , he used to play and some other chars, dunno if he still does.

Here's a full list. I only applied the ones we know for certain of whom these players are maining, so anything with a (?) I left out. I also didn't apply any decimals for possible secondaries. If they're good enough to be played in Apex then they're good enough to count as a whole number.

Diddy mains with a hardcore play to win mentality that consistently pick the best character in every game say Sheik is actually the best character but both play Diddy

Despite the alarming amount of Diddys, the character spread is pretty healthy imo. We'll have to see how the top 32 is like.

For the mains, I just put them there based on who they used in the past or who they used on stream. I only put the characters for the players I recognize. This is so that we can get some idea of how the 1st wave of pools went for Apex in terms of character diversity. If you know anyone else's main, please say. Wow, the Diddys, Sheik's and Luigis got retk in top 32. Still thinking Zero's gonna win easy (unless Ally pulls out some godlike precision unknown to mankind before), but seriously the worst case scenario of top 8 being only diddy Sheik and ZSS is extremely low at this point. I'm impressed.

people overrating luigi imo. False is the only luigi up there, and luigi is his secondary. The best luigis in Boss, MrCC, JMiller didnt make it unfortunately

4) His poor airspeed means that he is susceptible to walling tactics. Against a Mario or Yoshi spacing quick aerials, it is hard to get in outside of quick attack, for example. As with #3 above, you have to work around this limitation in matchups by using different combinations of ground and aerial moves. In my experience, b-air is pretty useless vs. Mario, but great against Yoshi, whereas up-air is not so useful against Yoshi, but great against Mario. Another Top Tier like Diddy doesn't have to mix up his game plan nearly as much: f-air and up-air are great in just about every MU, without exception (maybe against Pacman you don't use up-air quite as much because of hydrant or something).

This is the primary one I disagree with. I find that it's actually extremely hard to wall Pikachu out unless you have grounded tools that are very good for that purpose, which there are extremely few of in this game if they even do exist. Most characters in this game pretty much don't want to commit to any aerials in general if they don't have to in this game, especially against a character who is small to the point that he ducks under aerials with a lot of his animations.

Mario does wall out Pikachu's aerials easily. I've played this matchup enough to know that, but the problem he has in this matchup is SH B-air literally is just liable to not hit Pikachu at all if he doesn't jump unless you very specifically delay it to hit low, which puts you in a disadvantage in neutral, especially since Pikachu's tilts are all basically better versions of Mario's. Similarly Mario can't really abuse D-air in this matchup for two reasons. One is the final hit literally just whiffs most of the time, and in the situations where it doesn't, Pikachu actually has enough time to N-air Mario out of it.

Top 128 was infested with Diddy's because he's the most popular character. While Diddy might be the best character right now, he's really common in mid to high levels because of how easy he is to pick up and do well with. Obviously Diddy and Sheik are still clearly the best characters in the game at this point, they aren't that dominating. There's a very good chance we'll see only two Diddys in Top 8. That's a lot better than what everyone was expecting. I'm pretty satisfied with how top 16 turned out in terms of character diversity. Props to Duck Hunt lol.

Jokes aside (kinda) the fact that prolly the real Yoshi mains weren't gonna be tossing 300+ just to rep him and very likely get nowhere near the money doesn't surprise me honestly.
Kinda disappointed the only one that got out of pools from the 4 or so that did go was sky while a more decentish Yoshi like Robotnik drowned. Oh well.
