Actually annoyed they're not permabanning for that prestige token glitch. My Gears wingman did it so the only reason I did it was because I thought we'd both be permabanned.

Edit: Instead they just deranked me, gave me double xp, and 2 prestige tokens.

F8AL, the amount of people that has done this glitch is insane, the highest estimate was about 25 million in future DLC sales, assuming only a fraction of the online community did this glitch.

The glitch gave you no advantages compared to not doing it. You can get to level 80 without it and just sit there with everything, meaning that despite X person having everything at level 14, it makes no difference as the only people they have an advantage over is non-prestigers below level 80. And even non-prestigers can start with 4 or 5 tokens can't they? That's 8-10 hours double xp from the get go if they want.

Plus going back to level 1 isn't a punishment to anyone that didn't mind prestiging in the last game. And you can even choose to reset yourself anyway, and I wouldn't really consider anything you do to yourself willingly a punishment.

Sure, you might still have your singleplayer stuff, which would be pretty lackluster, but that's still around $30 out the window. On a whim. Because you can.

You might as well throw $30 in a fireplace. At least it would keep you warm for 2.7 seconds.

This still does not warrant him getting perma banned. If his friend is banned, he'll get to play GoW3 in any case.

The first map pack comes out in march (for everyone). We get two of the 4 this month and the next 2 next month instead of getting them as a bundle
