0:21 is just rolling, release shield and a downsmash, it seems quick because the dsmash comes out really fast. I wouldnt recommend doing this too often though, I try to do this a bit too much in these vids.
1:54 yeah djc nair pressure mixed with jabs can be really good
for edge cancelled eggs, just practise a lot, I still mess them up occasionally when Im not warmed up, but you should be able to get consistent with it with a lot of practise.

Ive changed my style up a bit since last december, where I'm now using my shield way less than in these vids. However like lordydennek said, light shielding ganons hard hitting attacks gets you of situations a lot, if you feel unsafe on platforms, lightshield. On the ground parry is preferred :p

Not sure on exact % for dair dsmash, but its around 70-90 Id say. Don't do it too much though, dair isn't that good of a move because of startup and range, its moderately usefull for techchasing platforms from below and dragging recoveries down.
Definitely learn how to do quick djc's and skate over the level, most people will be surprised how fast yoshi can move :p

I really like playing spacies on smaller levels. on fd i just get camped. on like ys i can keep up with them really easily. also I combo better on those stages 90% of the time.

I finally beat him. I am happy. I just didn't let up the pressure but simultaneously kept my range and tried to stay as low as possible.

We always play on FD, so I don't have much of a chance (or reason) to DJC or RDJC too often, there's just no reason I'd be jumping in that situation. It's not mindgames if I have nowhere to go.

V3ctorman, do you have any peach exp?

oh and I just found out that you can jump after sh Bair ( some probably knew this ). I thought " oh well not much use, you just instant land since you go down with yoshis DJ ". Well I tested around and you can do some real nice things ;D Most notably perfect waveland ( perfect for DI away combos, crossing up / chasing etc ), and nair ( combos, very nice shield pressure etc ).

Have you other yoshi mains used this ? And if so, gimme some tips about how/ when to use it :D

Btw Mindtrick I <3 your sig.

i actually do.. not generally one of my favorable matchups... Mind Trick and others have told me that it's much more doable than I had once agreed with, and they were indeed right.. However.. i've only "recently" got good at this Matchup, and still gettin better to this day..

The toughest part, is knowing what you can/can't challenge, since Peach has such an amazing wall of priority moves over Yoshi, it just makes it stressful at times... but I'm beginning to take AZ's best Peach players to close games, and it's rather nice to see some form of success..

I advise, you may want to go to any of the other yoshi Players, for this MU, of course I can help you... but i'm sure others might have more exp on this.. unless of course in generaly ur just askin for my opinion ^^

grrr. I need to turn my openings into kills. I get in with a bair then get the ftilt then miss the follow ups. more practice i guess. I get one crazy good combo per match then it's a whole lot of nothing....

took a falco alllll over ys today. ending in a fair to uair...oh gosh. it was hot.

I'm gonna double post cuz I feel like it

ok for some reason my cfalcon mu has gone down the drain. i get caught in my sheild then i lose. anyone have any ideas on what to do? Ill try to shield less it's just hard not too. lightshield kinda works. but not enought to get away.

I haven't figured that mu out yet lol
I tend to do just ok against falcon, but then a player like Jeapie comes along and ***** the **** out of me.
I find it's really hard to break that momentum once falcon get it, and returning to neutral position is not done. All I know is approaching usually ends in getting ****ed up. Uptilt, fsmash depending on his spacing. Throw eggs from the edge. That's all I know xD

Utilt spam to ftilt to upsmash/fsmash works amazingly well on fast fallers or heavy characters. 0-83 on Ganon.

Also, I'm starting to realize something like fair -> utilt -> utilt -> egg is good for quick damage. No real stopping power, but it adds on the damage pretty nicely.

And I'm starting to understand ECE's. I'm not comfortable enough yet to use them consistently, but they're pretty awesome.

One night of playing with a bunch of people far better than me has helped my game out a surprising amount.

Started using ECE's. A couple of those, wavedash onto the stage, then reverse fsmashing the guy who thought he was edgeguarding is ****ing hilarious.

How in the hell do you approach a Sheik? Is that just a matchup you're going to lose?

You don't want to be in the air too much vs Sheik. It's good to be on the ground where you can CC. If you feel like you have to do an aerial, space it so she can shield grab you, or do a late nair and jab as fast as possible.

D-tilt beats her CC. DJC egg lay beats her shield and is great if you condition her to shield every time you jump toward her. Grabs beat her SH fairs.

If she likes to wavedash around in her shield alot, you can space SH bairs somewhat safely. D-tilt is relatively safe. Grab is great if you guess where she'll put up her shield.

i've noticed that when i'm approaching, I tend to almost always use bairs and nairs with plenty of DJCs. Is there a way I can change up my approach, or is that really the only good thing to do?

Sometimes it's good to jump toward them, but DJC nair backward. That way they never know for sure when you're going to attack. If they throw out something laggy, and you've gotten out of their range, it should be easy to punish.

I've started doing that DJC egg grab thing. It really DOES stop chases a lot of the time. Problem is, I'm not sure how to follow up them being in the egg. I can't get many attacks in, and half the time they pop out with an attack or dodge. Do I just do it to kill their momentum and mindgame them into not following me, or should it be comboed?

You can try lots of stuff, but it depends a lot on how fast they get out (% dependant and if they know how they break out of this kinda stuff fast) and a little bit on their fallspeed too.
Bair is usually good when they are in the egg, a quick djc nair or upair is too. If its a floatie you might not be able to follow them and need to grab an egg. After they break out, don't go for them immediately, go for an egg, upsmash or upair.

Okay, thanks.

I have a question about ECE's, too. If you do them RIGHT, you should be completely invincible, right? I have a feeling I'm going too high, because occasionally a Ganon can hit me with a well placed bair.

Even if you are frame perfect, there is a 1 frame window where you aren't invincible ( the frame before you grab the ledge ).
You should mix up with instant waveland back to edge to renew you invicibility and then you can use uair / any aerial safely if they're still close or start throwing eggs if they are far away.

Ah. That makes sense. I was wondering about that. Still, I doubt I'm being frame perfect, so there's room for improvement.

Yoshi's nairs have some ridiculous knockback, geeze. I've started using shorthop nair -> nair -> nair -> dair -> dsmash/tilt. Works surprisingly well on Ganon and guys at low %.
