There is a few tournaments in the upstate nj like montclair and viridian on the 27th redx, but i won't be at them. I might have to start hosting more tournaments to stay active.

From my experience here in West New York people are under the impression that Ike is higher tier, especially at the Taste of Buffalo and Return of Rochester where people spoke so highly of San. Only now I'm starting to leave my mark at the weeklies at a local college.

Nysyarc, we should WiFi when we get the chance, since I had to reject you the other night.

For sure, I need a break from serious matches on WiFi. I'm getting fed up of AiB, went on a ten game losing streak to people whose 'true skill' was double mine and who all CPd MK on Frigate against me... then I finally got a hard-earned win against a DDD main. I always hated the DDD match-up but this guy rolled a lot and I made him pay.

How come most Ike mains can pick up Snake so easily? I have a hard time using him and I don't plan on making him a secondary.

I can play as Snake quite well although I prefer not to for serious matches. DK is more my secondary... and Ganondorf, although I'd never use him over Ike in an important match.

I play every character except Wario really... and Yoshi, I can't use Yoshi for crap.

Thing is, I live maybe 6-8 hours away from Gainesville, so that sucks. Hopefully I get to go to Winter fest and if I do I'll meet Ryo.

btw Ren you suck. You had a beast Ike. I can kinda use snake... not so good but enough practice and I think I'd have him down.

Snake is tricky because you have to know how to use his various explosives and his broken melee attacks in perfect balance. You have to be creative too, in how you set up your mines and C4.

I tend to start out my matches using my whole arsenal and zoning the **** out of my opponent, but then by the late second stock or third stock I start slowing down and spamming my tilts and grabs instead of bothering with stage control.

But seriously, G&W's up B games is no joke. His Up B can gimp the hell out of our Aether when he's on stage -.-, and following him after he up Bs to try to Uair or Aether gets punished hard by a fast falled Nair/Bair. No fun =/.
Also, everybody in the NYC/NY/NJ area HAS to come to Viridian City 7, which is after Pound 4. So many good OOS people are confirmed so it'll be funsies.

Knowing stuff does not go hand in hand with skill.

You may have noticed that most of the best top tier / a tier mains are not active on the forums or productive on the character boards, because theorycrafters hang out on those boards and the "pros" are actually practicing.

I hang out on forums to spam

For ike's case, there is a **** ton of active good ikes on these boards

I know feardragon, he was in the marth broom, the old one, no offense to him but he is a pretty horrendous player. He knows everything you need to know about marth, he just can't apply that to a match.
