Hey, Salem left his bag/backpack in the venue somewhere (maybe the main room?) on Sunday or sunday night. It has all of his belongings in there. Has anyone seen it?

Also someone took my coat. Denti said it might have been in his room, 370, but room service said it was not there when i checked.

Brawl Shoutouts

ESAM: Dude. Come on. That was a beautiful first set against ZeRo, those chaingrabs were flawless. Too bad on that loser's finals. Good job ESAM, representing Florida!

Nairo: Fantastic job on winning your first Apex title. That grand final was a good match.

Mew2King:
Don't stop believing in yourself. Well done as always!

ExDeath (Tony):
When you talked to ESAM in the first set against ZeRo I thought it was ESAM talking to ESAM, which sounds weird but I promise I thought it just happened.

Ryo:
No stream time? It's a tragedy, man. Get some stream time next tournament, alright?

Ally:
Well played, well done! You and Mew2King always bring the hype, two titans facing off in top 8 is a good thing to see.

Vinnie:
Maybe next time dude. No sense beating yourself up about it. Push through and prepare for the next tournament!

I also misplaced a controller. It was black and it had a grey smash emblem sticker on the right side handle of the controller. I dont really expect to get it back. But if any one found it and is feeling moral, hit me up and let me know, that would be awesome.

Im starting to think we should just have a Lost and Found thread after every major tournament

I'm new, and don't know anyone, and I live in an area with like no Smash community, and I suck

BUT.

I'll still give shoutouts to Joesidon, Lee Martin, RubyVixn, and ProZak, the four people who caused me to go 0-8 and get instantly knocked out of my two events (PM and Melee). Those four sets honestly made me re-evaluate myself as a player and give me a direction for both games going forward. You all helped me improve, which was, in the end, what I ultimately wanted from this event. Thanks.

Melee Round 2 Pool 3 lists MacD beating Fiction and getting 2nd in that pool, even though Fiction actually beat MacD. (The bracket also lists it like that for some reason.) Might wanna fix that. :p

It seems like every year less and less brawl sets are recorded at Apex and I'm really disappointed in the lack of recorded brawl sets this year.

Apex is the one time a year when the best players from all over the world meet at one tournament. This is when the best sets of the year happen. The to's must do a better job in the future at making sure all major games get enough time on stream.

How much longer do I have to be patient for Brawl stuff to actually come along, or is it even? :3
they kicked everyone out who wasn't in singles bracket immediately after doubles finished. everyone who even got to spectate singles bracket at all outside of pools and top 8 was acting in violation of the TO's wishes (and a hell of a lot of us did so, because **** you). i don't think many were recorded, if any.

First time attending a national, had a blast. Literally have zero complaints about the weekend (other than the fact that I got sick as soon as I got back to Florida haha). The venue was packed and it was hard to move but that's just kind of how tournaments are. If they can have it at a bigger venue in the future I guess it wouldn't hurt, but having it inside the hotel was really convenient.

da K.I.D.: Awesome to meet you man, you're really funny haha. Sorry to hear about the DQs though. I was afraid that'd be an issue for people who entered a lot of things.

Shaky: Great to finally meet/play against you, seriously one of the coolest smashers out there. Shame we live in the same state and this is our first time playing, clearly I need to get out more... I should've asked you for Ness advice from our matches. You and NickRiddle tore it up in doubles.

Ryo: Your Ike is crazy. You and Guf did awesome, really wish I could have seen more of you guys' doubles matches.

Dudes from Kentucky: Great to play against you guys on Thursday, good friendlies even though it was pretty late lol.

JaZz: Always good to meet a fellow Floridian haha. Saw some of your matches after they were uploaded, your Fox is scary. Maybe we'll meet up again at future tournaments.

Melee player from Saturday morning: Never got your name but you were teaching me how to be more mobile with Ganon, so thanks for being so cool. I've gotta watch more Kage videos.

Sorry for anyone I left out (really bad with names) but it was great to play and talk to such a huge variety of people. Congrats to the winners and to all of the people who showed up to make this tournament happen. Everyone worked hard and played hard.

So, I We still doing shoutouts? I thought there were too many people to do that...oh I'm right.

Shoutouts to everyone I played who's name I didn't already know and have never met before.

Also, wanna shoutout PM as a whole. That game man...it's come a long way. Hack or not, I think I consider it to be a true smash game at this point.

Everyone else you know you have a special place in my heart, Especially the people who I hugged on the final day lol. My hugs are magic.

Oh, another error I noticed was in Melee Round 2 Pool 4, which is the same case as before: The bracket lists Westballz beating Kage when the opposite happened.

Too many shoutouts to give, but I would like to give a big thanks to all the Apex staff and commentators. I was really impressed and grateful for all the effort you put in. Thanks a lot for hosting this event, and I hope next year's is even better. Also hope to see all the old-school players again lol - that was awesome.

Full Brawl singles results and the doubles results for both events will be updated. At the event, the pool sheets were separated from their owners before they could be logged into challonge / tio. But they were found, and now it just depends on the time it takes to deliver to the TO's.

Ladies and nerds, I (the living legend, Xyro77) have returned to you with great sadness. I have brought my with me my annual assessment of the yearly bore fest known as Apix hosted by Alex Trebek of Uganda. This year, we saw the rise of a REAL game (melee) as well as the rise of a FAKE game for little babies that cant handle brawl or melee. We call that game P(oisoned) M(elee). I expected Melee to do well (Thanks Evo) and i also expected the "mommy please give me my bottle of milk and a new diaper while i mod a game im not good at so that i can finally be good at it (but i still suck anyway teehee)" unskilled players to show in full force....and they did. However, this year, my Brawl night terrors had finally come true. The sight no human should bare witness did indeed happen. The end of Bawl has truly come.

But first, let me tell you a little story that lead up to the disaster that was Apux.

The day before Apox, i was with my GF. It was a dark, cold and stormy but we were sitting naked at a Mexico food place eating/drinking strawberry Margaritas. We were talking about my love for Interracial ****** Amputee Porn (iMap for short) when all of the sudden my iphone (glorious Apple master race) alarm went off. I reached for my phone to see what alarm could possibly be going off so early in the day. It was the "Apex has started. EMPTY YOUR CARE CUP"" alarm. So having seen the alrm, i emptied my care cup promptly. The next 3 days of Apix were ignored to the fullest of my ability. In fact, not thinking of Apux made me lose weight, gain a 6 pack, added a few inches to my already ridiculously long Zair and made my receding hair line......un-recede. I kept it off my mind and i swear i thought i was an improved man (in all ways). I was finally happy.

However........

The day after Apex, i get on SmashBoards. I get on to see how things were going in the Houston thread or maybe the WiiFitGirl boards (my ssb4 main btw). I was willing to look at anything but Apex info. But something in my head called out to me. It told me.....things. Things like "What if a Samus won Brawl at Apex?" Things like "What if a bunch of kick @$$ mid tiers placed well?" What if, NickRiddle finally posted "Xyro, when can i touch your peg leg?" When thoughts like that go through your head you cant help but go see if those thoughts are actually true. So i raced to the Apex results thread to see if Samus (or any REAL character) had won Brawl.

Here is what i found.............

1: Nairo :metaknight:

2: Zero :metaknight:

3: ESAM :popo:

4: Mew2King :metaknight:

5: Ally :metaknight:

Tell me, WHY do you let this happen? Do you enjoy it? Does MK's tornado sound make you want to touch yourself? WHAT IS IT?!?!?!??!!

Great tournament. There were some issues, but everyone knows what they are by now.

I didn't perform as well as I expected. Oh well, based on my performance against most OOS people I don't really deserve it. I will level up hard and see to it that FL actually has an MK, because of as of now mine is trashy, but I now know what I must do to make it good.

Shoutouts to everyone who was willing to play friendlies with me and congratz to Nairo for winning. Shoutouts to Canadian ppl for being cool and Pane in particular for our unstoppable MK/Wolf teams friendlies on the last night rofl

late shoutouts
Reno for bopping me and reminding me I suck (and then not making it out of pools anyway which just makes me look worse)
Jreed for giving me a game because he went young link, thanks for the charity
Corona for going falco for a couple friendlies so I could do cool spacies ditto stuff instead of having to actually concentrate against his link
the gorillion people who beat up on me in friendlies whose tags I never got
everyone who probably had more important **** to do for taking the time to chat with me for a few seconds when I bumped into them
and finally everyone at the entire venue all weekend who chose very kindly NOT to steal any of my stuff when I left it lying around like a moron, pretty sure I dropped a twenty on the ground and came back to find it sitting there a full half hour later
as far as first real tournaments go it could've been a hell of a lot worse that's for sure

OH AND SHOUT OUT TO MY LITTLE BROTHER MANNY FOR BEING THE HIGHEST PLACING SONIC AND FOR 2 STOCKING VEX IN A MATCHUP HE SAID WAS FREE. THATS MY BOY. HOWS IT FEEL TO BE THE BEST ACTIVE SONIC?
HAHAHAHAHA XD. It feels alright, but being the best Active Sonic doesn't mean much if I'm scoring 33rd place and not 1st. So we'll see how it goes down at Sktar, being the best Sonic isn't what people think it is lol. xD. That being said, thanks for the shout out <3 :) I had a lot of fun for my 1st national tournament. It was great seeing so many people. The only thing i hated at Apex 2014 was the damn....600 People blocking the walk ways....I'm telling you i started off from saying "excuse me" to literally pushing kids out of my damn way, like jesus....I hated it lol. That's really the only down side to Apex 2014. Oh and I hated waiting an extra hour or two, to play my matches. I get hyped to play at 4 pm..than i wait for an hour or two more and the hype leaves my body, the adrenaline goes away and im exhausted and want to sleep. I hate it. But yeah it was fun <3333 i happy to spend time with my crew and my online friends for the weekend <3

sad i went 2-0 in my pool for pm but it's w/e. thought there would be setups for the friendly room instead of it being "hope you can manage to take a setup or two and have friendlies with 30+ people" room.

@Vixen - i commend your dedication to hacking and setting up all of the wiis and tv. i clocked out after like 3 hrs but you kept going the entire night. major props
