I kind of agree with Seibrik.
It reminds me of people who feel MK is so good that they need to use MK to counter MK, which I don't think is true (I believe Snake counters MK 55:45). Snake/DK/Diddy/Falco/Yoshi, IMO, are MK's top five hardest matchups, so those characters are ideal for fighting MK with if you want to pick up a secondary who isn't MK to fight MK. I picked up DK to combat MK and nowadays I can do fine against good MKs with DK (same with Snake, who I'm good at fighting with MK but DK has the better edge). I'm also good at MK dittos but I have an easier time and way more fun fighting MKs with DK. Anyone who has a 4/6 disadvantage or better ratio against MK is good enough though if you ask me (6/4 isn't THAT bad, imagine what people with mid tier or lower characters have to go through with their matchups).
However I also think it's good to pick up a secondary if you main a character who has real terrible matchups vs certain characters, like DK vs DDD, so if you feel you want to use MK against DDD, then that's fine. I personally think MK can do good vs DDD, however, assuming you main Kirby, I think Kirby can do fine against a DDD, so as I've said before, I agree with Seibrik that you should learn the matchup with Kirby, since I don't think it's a ****-up-the-*** matchup. Heck I originally wanted to use different characters to counter GW and ROB because I HATED fighting those two with MK, but I decided to learn the matchup with MK anyway as I got better and I can do real good against those two now.
Of course if you want to use MK against DDD anyway then that's fine by me.
