  • One thing I feel those who still believe in the console wars don't get is that Nintendo fans KNOW Nintendo's hardware is garbage. It is an undisputed fact. The exclusives and gimmicks are what makes Nintendo Nintendo.

I think what he’s saying is that the hardware is legitimately just not as advanced-in terms of power and graphics and other stuff-than PC and other consoles. The Switch isn’t bad, but some people take the stance that the Switch is bad because it’s underpowered compared to other offerings-and they’re right.

It's still not a bad console.

We didn’t say that. We said it’s graphically-and in terms of power-inferior to other options. The Switch is a great console, Wario Wario Wario meant that those people-those who think the Switch is bad due to its low power and inferior visuals-don’t take into consideration the “exclusives and gimmicks that make Nintendo Nintendo.”
In my final years of school, my best friend was a lot younger than me (by about 6 or 7 years I think?) and I introduced him to Smash Ultimate. He picked up the mechanics quicky and we soon got on equal footing, that being said, he was a sore loser and very spammy. I may have ignited the flames of him being a sore loser by playing as ridiculous Miis and choosing Mr. G&W every time he played as Ness.
Is it just me or did every PS1 mascot have a REALLY rough transition to the PS2? Enter the Dragonfly, Angel of Darkness, Wrath of Cortex - the only big PS1 star I can think of who's PS2 outing can compare to the initial PS1 games is PaRappa.
The Chicken Run 2 recasts are a right shame, but unfortunately super common in animation. I can however say with confidence it was a Netflix decision, not Aardman. I don't plan to boycott the film (my stance on boycotts has always been rather simple, "if it's a quality product, support 'em") but if they don't get Julia to reprise Ginger it'll be just the slightest bit awkward of an experience. Here's a petition you can sign, if it makes waves we could brighten the future of theatrical western voice acting. https://www.change.org/p/aardman-animations-do-not-replace-julia-sawalha-for-the-chicken-run-sequel

Well, the Ginger recast is a shame, the Rocky recast not so much...

Wouldn't be the first time an American company got heavily involved with an Aardman work, as the Wallace & Gromit movie deal came from Dreamworks, and they wanted to insert a bit of regional humor in that.
Playing through Dynamite Headdy - a game I feel is somehow overlooked and overrated at the same time, it deserves way more attention as it is a quality title, but it absolutely isn't one of the best platformers of the 16 bit era as people say, even on the Japanese version. Platforming is great but bosses are pretty bad, which would be OK if it weren't for the fact a lot of this game's meat is the bosses
    Zygarde has the worst luck

    -Its instalment never came out
-They turned it into a blob and dog
-It's a novice class in SSBU
    -Its shiny is ugly.

doesn't it evolve into a legend class spirit

It's shiny is fine. Probably one of the best. And the blob thing was anime exclusive. They have no sentience in the games. And the dog actually makes some sense honestly.
Being a Counter Throw using Mii Brawler main when Byleth was new was an absolute experience. Miis are Byleth's mortal enemy in more ways than one.

"NICKELODEON's SpongeBob ruined My Life with XXX HIDDEN ANAL"

*4 years later, video still isn't raking in views, but a meme about the topic is spreading like wildfire*

"SPONGEBOB the funny CAVEMAN CHEESE Meme that is also A Show"
"Gameplay for a title in a franchise new to developer WayForward" is one of the biggest word sandwiches I've ever read on official gaming press content. I'm guessing it means another indie crossover like Cadence of Hyrule. Best guess would be a Metroid game given WayForward's uh... thing for skimply dressed females.... but I'd love them to give the DuckTales Remastered treatment to Drill Dozer (as long as they don't age up Jill)
I honestly think it'd be really cool to have a fully decloned Dr. Mario
I wish games would still do fun stuff in their localisations instead of directly translating the text with a few localisations here and there.
Ultimate is lacking a niche 1st party retro. Muddy Mole would be my immediate choice, but if it had to be a Black Box NES character I'd choose Bubbles or Excitebiker.

Still low-key thinking that could be the final reveal. I find it bleeding weird how base game didn't end with one, so that might be saved for later.

Mach Rider would be my choice.

I've heard rumours about Lolo or Balloon Fighter as an Iwata tribute. DH was saved for last in SSB3DSWiiU so a retro as the last Ultimate DLC would be cool, if not a little disappointing for modern fans.

My choice would definitely be Mach Rider as well with Ayumi Tachibana coming behind. While Ayumi wouldn't be a Blackbox character, she would be considered Retro though. Her game Famicom Detective Club is getting a Switch remake sometime this year or next year. It's not confirmed yet if it's just going to be Japan exclusive or if they're going to release it overseas. With that in mind, I could very low-key see Ayumi Tachibana make it in to promote the remake and be Ultimate's Retro rep.
If you think Melee and 64 are "objectively" the only good competitive Smash games just because of increased complexity, I have no clue why you play/watch Smash instead of traditional fighters. It's OK if you prefer the HAL-era games for that reason, but you can't just act like Wii U and Ultimate are terrible competitive games just because they're slower - elitism does nothing more but breed counter-elitism.
I am unreasonably enraged by the Spirit list calling Duck Hunt a series, but Hogan's Alley and Wild Gunman (which both also have Vs. versions) as their own games.

by calling duck hunt a series, they were actually accidentally leaking their upcoming project, duck hunt: the sequel-dequel

I mean, they did leak Mario Maker 2 that way so that wouldn't be TOO surprising...

I guess that the logic was "anything with major playable character gets series".

Still doesn't explain why Wrecking Crew's labelling is so inconsistent though. Probably Bamco interns not fact-checking enough.
What does "GenoBoards" even mean? GameFAQs slang confuses me...

As a user of the SmashFAQS community, "GenoBoards" is a board/thread dedicated to speculation of Geno.

    Another one here:
"A very insignificant group of delusional individuals who I can't wait to see collapse when the eventual release of the Mii Costume of their messiah is shown to the public."

It references how widely active and viewed the Geno thread is.

Regardless how you feel about a community, attacking/belittling them for supporting a character is wrong. Let them enjoy speculating about their favorite character. Even if I’m not the biggest Geno supporter, they have every right to support a character and, as a staff member here, I’ll fight to ensure they can do that freely and without trouble.
If I were a celebrity or CEO of a big corporation, I'd have it so when voting season comes around, instead of posting that cliche, obligatory "go vote!" message, I'd say "hey kids, we need a Noocracy!"
Since Daisy's getting so many glitches, maybe we could see Pauline? I hope not, but it's possible. I personally would rather have Cranky, Stanley or Jr. as an arcade rep.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
Cranky would be so cool man with his pogo stick jumping up and down like Scrooge McDuck. He would literally be the closest thing we would ever have of having Scrooge McDuck in Smash.
    KirbyWorshipper2465

I'd be fine with either Pauline or Cranky, since at least they got a decent following.

I would love to see Pauline in Smash as I have a lot of nostalgia value for the character.

She was one of the main characters in the first Mario game I ever played.
So, Bayonetta's taunt "Don't mess with a witch" was censored from "Don't **** with a witch" - but isn't that the whole point of Bayonetta as a character design, that you want to **** the witch?
I can't help but feel sorry for people who get in sex scandals because people often use them as excuses to do and say horrible stuff and get away with it under the flimsy guise of "karma". Absolutely not condoning the actions that lead to this, but it's still pretty disturbing to see the whole internet gang up on one person, "deserved" or otherwise.

Remember the time a certain guy who got hit with accusations and everybody dunk on him for beign a "Cheater" "Creeper" and took clips from his videos out of context to make him look worse? then he showed the recepits and all of the sudden everybody apologized and shut the **** up. Turns out people jumped to conclusions and pretended to care, because the Internet somehow believes they represent justice.

I wouldn't even wish a Mob to my worst enemy, guilty or not. Let the justice system deal with that (as disfunctional as it can be, at least STILL better than whatever Mob the internet tries to form)

THIS is exactly why i don't care about Accusations anymore.

Finding old YouTube comments calling ProJared a clown is like uncovering dinosaur bones.
I'm thinking of opening a thread to discuss the validity of the term "meme pick", specifically when it comes to characters from viral games and spin-offs of major franchises.

The only character I consider a "meme character" is King Harkinian from the CDI Zelda games. Everything else that people consider "memes" are just, like, flavor of the month kinda stuff, you know?

Speaking from my experience, I’m sure the long and short of a meme character is a baseless excuse for people to shut down a funnier or Internet~famous character’s support.
